Carl Bernstein states that the FBI believes the Trump Administration is attempting an "active coverup" to interfere with investigation into collusion with Russia.

Courtesy of Mediaite:

If Carl Bernstein knows anything, he knows how anonymous sources can reveal how a high-level criminal cover-up can take an administration down. So when he stated that the FBI had a “serious belief” that there was an “active coverup” in the alleged coordination/collusion between the Trump campaign and a Russian effort to reveal the election last night on AC360, we take notice.

In a remarkably entertaining segment pegged to a CNN’s recent report, Bernstein dropped some knowledge about FBI suspicions. According the the Watergate legend, intelligence suggests that Russia tried to use advisers of Donald Trump to penetrate the presidential campaign.

Can you believe that Jason Miller douchnozzle actually brought up Susan Rice's name?

You might remember Miller as the former Trump transition spokesman who was forced to quit his job after his affair with another Trump spokesperson came to light.

A.J. Delgado and Jason Miller, naughty, naughty, naughty.
Going back to what Carl Bernstein said that is a fairly explosive revelation and fits in well with another recent report that Trump associates had changed their behaviors when they found out about the FBI investigation.

If the FBI has evidence that they are actively involved in a coverup that could be perhaps even more damaging than the evidence of communicating with the Russians during the campaign.

Which reminds me of another lesson learned during Watergate, "It's not the crime, it's the coverup."

Shouldn't the GOP-led House investigators look into this Whitewater Land Deal Scandal involving the Clintons before undertaking these unwarranted attacks on a man who is making America great AGAIN and who may literally be the Greatest American President of All Time?

Certainly a LOT people in the White House are already saying that he's the greatest they've ever seen and they get to see Drumpf in action every day except when he's playing golf or promoting his own personal business interests. If they say he is great, who are we to argue?

Melania Trump profile says she’s ‘frosty’ with Ivanka and ‘never had any interest’ in First Lady job

    22 APR 2017 AT 19:33 ET

A profile of First Lady Melania Trumpin Vanity Fair magazine paints the former model as bored and disinterested with the duties of First Lady and sources close to Mrs. Trump say that she has been dragged along behind her husband’s political ambitions against her will.

“She never wanted this, and never had any interest,” said one source to Vanity Fair‘s Evgenia Peretz. In fact, parents at her son Barron’s school Columbia Prep in New York City say that in the days before the election, Melania Trump looked “thin, tired, and sad” and others reported her as being “terrified” of Trump’s quest for office because “he might win.”

..... While many presidential wives have taken advantage of their platform to promote an agenda close to their heart, friends of Melania’s say the First Lady isn’t particularly devoted to any charity or cause as is typically expected among the women of Manhattan’s wealthy elite.

“She was passionate about… Well, I can’t think what she was passionate about,” said old friend Lisa Bytner when Vanity Fair asked where Mrs. Trump’s deepest interests lie.

..... “What will become of Melania and Donald?” Peretz asked. Some people may hope for a “feminist fantasy” ending where Mrs. Trump dumps her boorish husband while he’s in the White House.

....“She’s an immigrant who doesn’t give a sh*t about the plight of other immigrants,” he said. “She’s famously a plagiarist. And she’s brought ruinous lawsuits against journalists and bloggers accusing them of among other things, potentially interfering with her ability to profit off her role as first lady.”....

I don't believe that Melania Trump should have to act as First Lady if she does not wish to, but she should realize that Secret Service protection is only available if she is acting First Lady, otherwise she should be protected by private security.

Nothing in our Constitution requires the spouse of the POTUS to fulfill the duties of First Lady, it's just usually assumed that she will. Trump should just hire someone to fulfill her duties and let her live her life, however not on our dime.

And this is just one more example that Americans did not elect don john or his wife to occupy Our White House. We do not elect Dicktators nor Liars and frauds...of course melania does not want to be a part of a con job. It may keep her from prosecution.

    Washington Post:
Though shovels are ready, Trump officials delay grant for Caltrain upgrade

SAN JOSE — The railway shuttles 65,000 people a day between San Francisco and San Jose, its cars crammed with Silicon Valley workers tapping on sleek laptops and hoisting bikes into designated cars. But the signs of aging are unmistakable — 1980s control panels devoid of digital technology, the dusting of sea-green foam that has escaped from the seat cushions and settled on the floor.

All of that was supposed to change with the launch of a $2 billion upgrade, underwritten in part by a $647 million grant from the Federal Transit Administration approved days before President Barack Obama left office. But then the Trump administration arrived, and within a month the FTA informed Caltrain that it was “deferring a decision.”

Even though there are hundreds of places to eat in Washington DC, guess who gets the the notoriety and Donnie's business?

    The Hill:
Trump dines out at his DC hotel

President Trump dined out at his Washington, D.C., hotel on Saturday night, his third trip there in as many months.

Trump's motorcade arrived at the Trump International Hotel just blocks from the White House shortly before 8:30 p.m. He was joined at the property by first lady Melania Trump.

The president dined at the hotel for his first dinner out in Washington in February, and did the same last month

Trump's hotel has been the subject of controversy, with many questioning whether Trump being president violates the terms of his lease on the building.

Trump rents the property from the General Services Administration, the agency that essentially acts as the federal government's landlord, though a federal agency ruled that he was not in violation of the lease.

The hotel has also become a go-to location for foreign leaders and dignitaries since it opened last fall, when Trump was still a presidential candidate.

With Jason Chaffetz bailing, Paul Ryan suddenly changes tune on Trump-Russia scandal

When Jason Chaffetz announced this week that he’s bailing out of Congress at the end of his term and possibly much sooner than that, there was already mounting intel community buzz that he’d gotten mixed up in the Russia scandal and that the FBI was onto him (link). That raises the question of whether he’s bailing to try to run from the scandal. So with Chaffetz having been swallowed up, it’s fascinating that now Speaker Paul Ryan is suddenly voicing his own support for investigating the Trump-Russia scandal.

....Sure, it could be coincidence. But it feels more like Ryan used the event as his first available opportunity to voice his new stance. Just a month ago, Paul Ryan was helping to steer Devin Nunes toward helping Trump to sabotage the investigation (link). But now suddenly Ryan wants to make sure everyone knows that he’s in favor of the Trump-Russia scandal being fully investigated. He didn’t mention Trump by name, but he didn’t have to. Considering the timing, this shift doesn’t feel like a coincidence.

.... And now that the Chaffetz domino is falling, suddenly Ryan is trying to get on the right side of the investigation. What does Ryan know that we don’t? And to whom might he be trying to send a signal that he’s now willing to cooperate with the investigation? Now more than ever, the game is afoot.
