Donald Trump congratulates Australian Prime Minister on their superior single payer health care system on day that Republicans vote to repeal Obamacare.

Courtesy of Buzzfeed:

While answering questions about the House of Representatives' vote to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act Thursday, Trump said Australia's health care system was better than the one in the US.

"Deductibles are going to come down. It's going to be fantastic health care," Trump said of the Republican-backed American Health Care Act. "Right now Obamacare is failing."

"I shouldn't say this to our great gentleman and my friend from Australia, because you have better health care than we do," Trump continued. "We're going to have great health care very soon."

Actually no we won't, as explained by Sherrod Brown in multiple tweets listing the  preexisting conditions that will cause your health care costs to go through the roof under Trumpcare.

However if Trump and his Republican sycophants want to discuss the possibility of a single payer heath care system I think they will find plenty of eager Democrats willing to work that out with them.

After all even Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer believes that will be where all of this ends up:

"We had seven years of ObamaCare, a change in expectations, and I would predict in less than seven years we'll be in a single-payer system."

Considering how freaked out the Republicans were about Obamacare, can you even begin to imagine how hysterical they will be when the country forces them to vote on a single payer system?

I have always (since 1996) been covered through employer based coverage. I have A.D.D. and high cholesterol. The high cholesterol has nothing to do with my diet, it is genetic and runs in my family. I have been on the same medications for both for over 10 years. My ADD meds are expensive even with my insurance and are just unaffordable without it. My husband and I hope to take a year off to travel within the next few years. Now I am unsure what insurance I will be eligible for when we travel and when we get back. What a mess.

Malcolm Turnbull is a creep and we hate him. His putrid government is trying very hard to gut our health insurance system and make it more American.

  3. Anonymous12:32 PM

I sure hope Krauthammer is right.

Republicans stink on ice, celebrating, laughing at the expense of those of us with preexisting conditions and so gleeful about taking our health insurance away. They are a sick bunch of bastards. I hope they all lose their jobs and then get sick and see how they like not having insurance. What a bunch of corporate bitches and whores they are.

Just think how far we would have progressed if Hillary were President instead of Trump.

How stupid is this piece of fetid feces??? How in gods name did this garbage pile of a human get elected??

    OT? K.O.

  8. Trump has been describing single payer all along. He just doesn't know it and no one has told him because that's not what they want or have planned.

The only way the Republicans can get themselves out of this mess is to go to single payer. Then they have both destroyed Obamacare and have replaced it with something better. It's the only way they'll own it and be able to brag that they provided better healthcare to America then Obamacare.

But they won't do it because it costs money and it would put insurance companies out of business.

Trump doesn't have the political capital to say create a U.S. healthcare system like Australia has. (Or any other country with single payer.)

He's just a doofus talking empty head. He says crap like this all the time when he's off leash. He'll walk it back tomorrow and Spicey will "fix it."

There is something wrong with eco numbers. How did unemployment go down when an aquaintance can't hire for small wages. No one will work. So no profit, no payments on lots of things, no money in the eco. Strange. Guess it is just areas so far. Soon it will be all over.

  14. O remember after the election and it finally dawned on Drumpf supporters that he would take their healthcare away, many said they voted for Drumpf knowing Dems would protect their insurance.

If that was true, why not just vote in Dems and save yourself some worry. Afterall, HRC had a 30 billion plan to help Appalachia and coal miners. Drumpf gave you nothing, MORONS!

Why must Trump always point at his guests? This man has absolutely no charm nor manners.

Don't feed the trolls!
It just goes directly to their thighs.
