Donald Trump is so reckless that he is even scaring the Pope.

Courtesy of CNN:

Pope Francis said Saturday he worries that rising tensions between the United States and North Korea could lead to a wide military conflict that would wipe out a "large part of humanity."

He called for renewed diplomacy using third-party intermediaries and for the United Nations to take a lead role in de-escalating tensions.

The Pope, while returning to Italy from Egypt, took several questions from reporters and one asked him what he would say to world leaders at this critical moment.

Francis said in Italian that the situation "has heated up too much. I always appeal for a solution through diplomatic means."

The pontiff, who has spoken of a "piecemeal third world war" for several years, said increased conflict would be devastating.

"It's piecemeal but the pieces are getting larger, and are concentrated in places which were already hot," Pope Francis said. "Today a wider war would destroy, I won't say half of humanity, but a large part of humanity and culture. It would be terrible. I don't think humanity today could bear it."

You know when a guy who firmly believes in an afterlife, and that he absolutely has a reserved parking place in that afterlife, expresses great concern about the possibility of a war, I think he deserves our attention.

And the Pontiff is right, Trump's ignorance and lack of preparedness for the job of president puts the entire world at risk.

If I were working for the FBI, I would be working around the clock to prove Trump's ties to Russia and get him removed from office before it is simply too late.

    UGH.

Trump is Making a Commercial About All the Stuff He Pretended to Do For 100 Days

Trump cites "clear vision" and "resolute leadership," not to mention "uncompromising dedication to the American people" by fighting media bias

...as he robs them of their access to healthcare, turns the oceans over to oil companies and takes away their National Parks and monuments for some more drilling and mining.

He loves us! He even did away with science for us! No more pesky facts to get in the way of our wishful thinking. And his profits.

Notice what else he’s done for us: “fighting back against continued media bias.”

Well, what president before has ever done that for the American people? Truly a historical 100 Days in office we can all be proud of, right?

Yeah, not so much. Donald Trump doesn’t have a presidency. He has a perpetual campaign, holding rallies when he’s not golfing and then popping into the office once in a while to sign a few executive orders.

    http://www.politicususa.com/2017/05/01/trump-making-commercial-100-days.html

Donald Trump’s revelation that he is going to take some time off from his golf game to meet with Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte at the White House has caused quite a stir, and not because he didn’t bother to notify his own State Department.

...Donald Trump and Rodrigo Duterte have a lot in common: authoritarianism, a fascination with Adolf Hitler, a disparaging view of human rights, and the love of profits. And that is a recipe that will tarnish America’s image and take her to some very dark, very unpleasant places. And I’m not talking about the kitchens of Mar-a-Lago.

Trump Gives Raging Anti-Choice Propagandist HHS Public Affairs Job

Yoest has a long record of undermining women’s access to health care by distorting the facts; her selection shows the administration is pandering to extreme evangelical conservatives.

...Trump has been really, really good and extremely generous to the religious right thus far in giving them unprecedented power and authority over the people by government fiat. He appointed a raging evangelical who claims the Separation Clause in the U.S. Constitution is “unconstitutional” as the attorney general. He chose a “Christian supremacist” running mate as evangelically extreme as he is a liar second only to Trump. And he tapped a filthy rich Christian whose brilliant plan is running the Education Department like an evangelical ministry to “confront the culture and advance god’s kingdom.” Add to that the weekly prayer meetings and bible lessons for Trump’s Cabinet, the House and Senate with an uber-extremist Christian preacher so extreme his own church disowned and disavowed him. One challenges any know-nothing, liberal or conservative, to dare claim the theocrats in Trump’s administration are not a threat to the people.

After promising to give churches tens-of-billions of taxpayer money and the freedom to campaign for religious Republicans from the pulpit, one wondered how Trump would force taxpayers to fund evangelical extremist’s propaganda campaign against women’s autonomy over their bodies and lives. Well the Trump came through and appointed a raging evangelical extremist as the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) assistant secretary of public affairs; the person in that top public affairs office is responsible for shaping communications efforts for the entire agency.

Trump Takes Latest Stab At Historical Analysis: ‘Why Was There The Civil War?’

    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/trump-why-was-there-the-civil-war

“Had Andrew Jackson been a little later, you wouldn’t have had the Civil War,” Trump said. “He was a very tough person, but he had a big heart.” (Jackson engineered the deaths of thousands of Native Americans while he was in office.)

“He was really angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War, he said, ‘There’s no reason for this,'” Trump continued. “People don’t realize, you know, the Civil War, you think about it, why? People don’t ask that question, but why was there the Civil War? Why could that one not have been worked out?”

Trump’s first 100 days: The fact check tally

President Trump is the most fact-challenged politician that The Fact Checker has ever encountered. He earned 59 Four-Pinocchio ratings during his campaign as president. Since then, he’s earned 16 more Four-Pinocchio ratings.

But those numbers obscure the fact that the pace and volume of the president’s misstatements means that we cannot possibly keep up. The president’s speeches and interviews are so chock full of false and misleading claims that The Fact Checker often must resort to roundups that offer a brief summary of the facts that the president has gotten wrong.

Sorry little donnie, you may have canceled the ceremony, but he still gets the award. JEALOUS
    ===============================================

Trump Cancels Argentine Award Ceremony Honoring President Carter
During President Carter's administration, the oft maligned Democratic POTUS faced impossible criticism and sabotage by the up and coming 'Moral Majority....

President Carter is likely one of the most moral presidents we've ever had, his actions as a great humanitarian create little doubt what kind of person he is. We also know that Trump is perhaps the antithesis of a humanitarian, simply by his actions and words. He just hosted the President of Argentina at the White House, not surprisingly, Trump has business interests in the South American nation.

Prior to his departure from Argentina, President Mauricio Macri planned on presenting la Orden del Libertador San Martín, the highest honor for a non-Argentine citizen. Ex-Argentine-Ambassador to the US, Martin Lousteau, chose the ex-peanut farmer for his work in promoting human rights during Argentina’s last military dictatorship. His plans were revised by this White House.

An anonymous source from Told CNN that the Carter administration's human rights policy was a "decisive accelerator in getting justice and trials against the military that perpetrated crimes." Harris also said that the actions of Carter's human rights policy managed to hasten the end of the regime and was a key factor in achieving "a cascade of justice in Argentina."

The award was announced in the Argentine government’s Official Bulletin in March, and it was later decided that President Macri would preside over an award ceremony during his visit to Washington in April.

The award ceremony was abruptly cancelled days before Macri’s visit. The official explanation for the cancellation was scheduling problems, but a source in the Argentine government who spoke to CNN Español on the condition of anonymity stated that the ceremony was cancelled at the specific request of the Trump administration for a delay.

We can tie together the fate of Jimmy Carter to the fate of this nation to this Republican deception, culminating in the coup de etat of Donald Trump. Those same evangelicals who abandoned Carter and turned to the GOP henceforth helped Trump 'win.' Ironically, one of the tenets the new Religious Right espoused was a vehement opposition to Communism. Funny how the product of Communism has such a foothold on the American government with Vladimir Putin.....

‘Like a third-grade paper’: Internet shreds Trump’s historically illiterate Andrew Jackson comments
During an interview with the Washington Examiner published on Monday, President Donald Trump claimed that former President Andrew Jackson was “very angry” about the American Civil War, and he would have stopped it had he still been president in 1861.

“I mean, had Andrew Jackson been a little later, you wouldn’t have had the Civil War,” Trump said. “He was a very tough person, but he had a big heart. He was very angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War, he said, ‘There’s no reason for this.'”

Jackson may have been a “very tough person,” but that didn’t stop him from dying in 1845 — or 16 years before the Civil War started.

The internet quickly pounced on the president’s historical illiteracy, and hammered him for not knowing very basic facts about his own country’s past. Some of the top reactions follow below.....

He's a Jesuit, which means he's brainier than you can imagine. And what he believes or doesn't believe would shake your pigeon-hole system of labeling people. You haven't read any of his writings. Pope Francis does not subscribe to dualistic beliefs.

Also he takes his papa name from Francis of Assisi, the little poor man, greatest social justice advocate evah!

Trump is a true atheist, as only a narcissist can be. He can't grasp any notion of an existence greater than his present magnificence. He could learn a lot from Pope Francis, but he would never believe that a man who has taken religious vows denying his own needs could teach him anything.
