Great white hunter gets crushed by large grey elephant in Africa.

Courtesy of the Telegraph:

A South African big game hunter died after being crushed by an elephant cow that had been shot on a game reserve in Zimbabwe at the weekend.

Theunis Botha, 51, was leading a hunt with clients when the group accidentally walked into the middle of a breeding herd of elephants at the Good Luck Farm near Hwange National Park late on Friday afternoon, Zimparks spokesman Mr Simukai Nyasha said.

Three of the elephant cows charged the hunters. Mr Botha fired a shot from his rifle but he was caught by surprise by a fourth cow that stormed them from the side, the Afrikaans news site Netwerk24 reported.

He shot these majestic animals in a place called "Good Luck Farm?"

What, they didn't have any cows he could shoot instead?

This is one of those instances where you have to remind yourself that a man lost his life, and you should not feel any pleasure or sense of satisfaction.

But then you read that the man trained dogs to harass and chase the animals toward him so that he could shoot them more easily, and the struggle becomes just that much more difficult.

So let us mourn the passing of this man, but also remember that he died doing what he loved, slaughtering animals to make himself feel more manly.

Of course in the end he probably felt less like a man, and more like a mancake.

No sympathy from me. One "man" dies, many, many animals live. I hope the people there for this "game" are shocked into staying away from game reserves. Let the animals live in peace. Poetic justice, with not one shot fired by an elephant!!

Yeah, I wouldn't spend 2 seconds mourning this piece of shit.

In my opinion, he doesn't deserve a spot on this earth, while the elephants do.

Eric and Donald Jr are big game hunters. Let those two sons of bitches get speared by tusks and get a pile of elephant dung on their Nazi looking faces.

I am so proud of that elephant. It clearly had the last word. Good for elephants and for all living creatures that don't sport guns.

Africa has serious problems involving humans v elephants.

It would be a good idea for "great white hunters" to remember that these animals are very intelligent. They may not be able to tote firearms, but a diversionary attack from the side of an opponent is a very successful move in human armies, too.

    Be afraid.

I have no sympathy either. I know he was a human being, but that whole industry of big game hunting is just wrong...this at least made it a little more fair.

The world is a better place without him. Unfortunately at his age, he had probably contributed to the gene pool.

Darn, it would be karma to have the game (of fate) also turn on Trump sons. Considering how many animals they've wasted in the name of pretend sport.

What can I say for this hunter that is good. The elephants are his ending. He got squashed. The end. Good.

I hope the elephants weren't put down as some stupid hunter died from being an idiot on a rigged and staged hunting farm. Go Elephants. Defending themselves from the so called brave white hunter.

Would be nice if nature (the animals) took back their lives from so called sports hunters. Somehow rose up against more of the sports hunters who kill out of greed than need.

Wiped them out. Bacteria might even do the job. Why wait for Jesus to rapture them up. I'm being snarky with Trump the POS being POTUS. I'm tired of evil winning now. ;-)

I'm heartbroken...that that majestic elephant died. But I'm proud she protected her family as her final act. She has saved countless creatures by taking that useless scumbag out.

  16. I hope that hunting party he was leading was so traumatized by what they witnessed that they have decided to take up a less risky sport.

    Backgammon perhaps. Or Whist.

May his five children have also learned a lesson. Don't follow in daddy's footsteps or you too may end up an elephant frisbie.

My last observation? Zimbabwe. Would have been my first guess. I hope Cecil is smiling.

They still managed to kill at least 3 or 4 elephants, they had shot the one that fell on him.

However, I say good riddance to him and others like him. There is no reason to be out shooting elephants and other wild animals for "fun".
