Stephen Colbert earns #FireColbert hashtag on Twitter after daring to mock Donald Trump.

That brilliant bit of truth telling, did not go over well with the Trumpians.
However, as you might imagine, this has inspired those on the Left to openly mock the effort.
Personally I think that any late night comedian who inspires this kind of anger from Trump supporters, is doing a hell of a job.

Just watch how quickly his ratings start going up.

I don't think Stephen gives a shit what happens. He's speaking wickedly sharp truth to power. Comedy Central would welcome him back in a heartbeat. And you know his parting shot from CBS would be epic.

Since when do trump supporters care about insulting the gays?

Interesting how they presume freedom of speech is only for them and freedom of insults is only for little donnie.

I seriously doubt any trump supporter even watches Colbert, so they can boycott all they want.

I might just call the sponsors and tell them they should purchase MORE air time on CBS.

OT? LIBEL LAW>The judge explained that Trump’s tweets are not given “serious consideration” as factual reports because Trump’s tweets were “rife with vague and simplistic insults such as ‘loser’ or ‘total loser’ or ‘totally biased loser,’ ‘dummy’ or ‘dope’ or ‘dumb,’ ‘zero/no credibility,’ ‘crazy’ or ‘wacko’ and ‘disaster.’”
"Zervos alleges in her January 2017 lawsuit that Trump defamed her during his campaign by calling her a liar after she publicly alleged that Trump had groped her during taping of The Apprentice."
"There was a brief moment after his election when Trump recognized he needed a strong First Amendment to protect his own speech.
When asked about his plans to change libel laws during a New York Times interview on Nov. 22, Trump said, “Actually, somebody said to me on that, they said, ‘You know, it’s a great idea, softening up those laws, but you may get sued a lot more.’ I said, ‘You know, you’re right, I never thought about that.’ I said, ‘You know, I have to start thinking about that.’ So, I, I think you’ll be O.K. I think you’re going to be fine.”

I never miss his show and love the fact he goes after asshole Trump. He's right on and is doing one heck of a job!!! Recommend everyone tune into Colbert. They'll be well rewarded. Freedom of speech too, folks!

Trump needs to be brought down quickly. He's doing a horrid job and does nothing to benefit America or Americans in any way! Plus, he's a war monger and will have us in WWIII!

so it's okay for a president to insult a journalist on national TV (calling the journalist's program Deface the Nation) but it's not okay for a satirist to do satire on a President (a public figure, which a journalist is not).
