Bill Maher calls Democrats out over their passivity.

Even if you are not a fan of Bill Maher, if you are a progressive you need to hear this .

And what's more we need to hear a lot more talk like this.

Until we figure out that playing by the rules makes us the losers, we will never be the winners again.

  1. Anonymous5:36 PM

Ds are cowards. They attack people. They're hypocrites. They lie when they have no argument. They act like mind readers. Dick them. I'm done and going no party.

    1. Anonymous7:30 PM

No one's falling for it, Manglesdorf.

  2. Anonymous5:56 PM

    Bill: STFU.

    1. Anonymous9:30 PM

When you're right, you're right, Bill.

  3. Dinty6:13 PM

The alternative is to become the soulless, pointless shell that the Republican Party has become. Their day of reckoning is coming, faster now that they have elected someone who is a mindless and crazy as Trump.

  4. Anonymous6:16 PM

Yep. D's must stand up, speak up and fight for America. Wait and see? See what? Trump and mob steal America?

  5. Anonymous7:51 PM

Megyn Kelly saw an aggressive, peeved Vladimir Putin.

Trump’s Russia problems are getting worse

  6. Anonymous7:55 PM

Bill Maher has always been my favored comedian and will continue to be. I think he is right on!!!

    1. Anonymous8:56 AM

You like that he tosses the N word around with such a casual ease? I like Maher's commentary too but that has really soured me. Clearly that wasn't the first time he's used that word. And no, "it's a joke" doesn't get him a pass.

    2. Actually, it's more a historical phrase that was probably brought forth in his head by the repetitive use of the word "field" in the prior conversation.

I must say I wasn't shocked. It was in bad taste, but probably moreso to whites. I'll wager Blacks use the phrase a lot more than whites think they do. Whites would say someone is too good to work or uppity. Blacks would call them what Bill referred to himself as.

  7. Anonymous8:08 PM

There were a lot of anti Trump rally's today.

And what struck me was how much of the younger generation sat on the sidelines. The late twenty's and young thirties are a spoiled generation, not all but a lot of them were never made to face a hard time.

This is the most self absored generation i have ever seen. Selfies, facebook posts to expose their lives and it's all about how much fun they are having like a measure of their worth. Everything is an event from simply eating at a restaurant to going to a movie. Like if you are not having fun all the time there must be something wrong. It's called life people. They need a like for simply being a Mom, for not being a Mom, for their mere existence.

How insecure is that? Post a selfie to get approval by your peers because you can look like shit and they will still like it.

I don't understand this constant need for approval of mundane everyday living. It creates apathy and false build up that everything anyone doe's should be liked, should be praised for just existing.

    1. Anonymous9:05 PM

      Neither do I.

    2. Anonymous6:07 AM

      See @4:40's comment.
They have said what YOU need to hear, 808PM.
The younger generation's members that I know are NOTHING like you described.
Rather, with the exception of the social media bullshit, cuz it didn't exist in the 80's, this is what old farts who were jealous of young people spewed at us back then.

  8. Anonymous12:45 AM

    Right on.

  9. Anonymous12:46 AM

  10. Progressives don't need to hear it. We know it. We've been saying it for months.

It's the mainstream Democrats that are tootling along the status quo that need to pay attention. They're the ones that think they'll just get votes because, whatever. They're registered Democrats. They voted for Obama. They're educated. They just ASSUME they'll get the votes. And so they suck up donations but don't do squat.

We lost in Kansas and Montana because the DCC didn't pay attention, didn't listen and committed to their too little too late strategy for appearances. They had a chance to help Ossoff win Georgia in the primaries and pissed it away. Now he's in a runoff with fucking Karen Handel and will probably lose. But at least the DCC finally woke up and is making an effort to look like they support Ossoff.

And nothing has changed under Tom Perez. NOTHING!

So you can kiss 2018 goodbye. More thumb twiddling up their asses and then whiny excuses for why they lost.

Progressives saw all of this coming. That is why they were so angry during the 2016 election. It's why they are still angry as they see that nothing has changed and the same mistakes will be made again.

    1. Anonymous6:28 AM

Dems need to quit blaming themselves for an election that was stolen via vote tampering. We need to keep screaming at the top of our lungs til the whole world joins in and call foul. If president Obama had leaked about the Russia and Trump ties...we would have the same outcome. The only difference..there would have been no investigation...only partison rhetoric. The fix was already in place. Russia was manipulating the primaries as well..there is no way that buffoon beat out the other electable repubs. They had never seen anything like this either. Putin made fools of us. The sad part is he is going to cotnue electing extremist repubs throwing our democracy into oblivion. Anonymous stopped Karl Rove from stealing the election through rigged vulnerable voter machines. Russia got rid of annonymous and succeded at stealing. our election. When the truth comes out, and it is going to put more women into office. President Obama had no choicey but let it play out like this. The repubs allowed Russia to create Trump and they are going to have to be the ones to destroy him. Get the popcorn ready. Hilary needs to stop her whining, and pitting dems against each other. Afterall that is not becoming of our Madame President. She will get what was stolen from her.

    2. Bull Fucking Shit.

That election stolen crap is just an excuse. If the margins were so close that Comey's 3% lost the election, then the Democrats were lazy and didn't work hard enough.,

      Which is true.

Their own people on the ground in those battleground states said that they contacted leadership and told the what was going on and what needed to happen and they were ignored.

The Dem leadership didn't have Hillary campaign in those states like Trump did because they ASSumed those that voted for Obama would vote for Trump.

They failed to understand the swell of the popularity movement which is what was driving Bernie's campaign. The fact Sanders did as well as he did should have been a huge red flag and should have driven them to revise their campaign strategy after the primaries.

And for years the Democrats have been promising these people and not delivered.

Blaming the Russians is simply a scapegoat to avoid the mirror. Not saying the Russians didn't tip the balance. I'm saying that it was the hubris and ineptitude of the Democratic Party's campaign that put the numbers close enough for the Russians (and Trump and Comey and all of them) to tip the balance.

What next? You going to whine that it was all Bernie's fault for running against Hillary or that it was Bernie voters that lost her the election? Because that is even more fucking bullshit.

I might add that the gerrymandering and voter disenfranchisement the Republicans have perfected in those four states was also very much to blame. Hillary lost those states by margins that would have been covered had voters that were barred from voting due to Republican voter restrictions been allowed to vote. They probably would have voted Republican and those states would have gone to Hillary.

So what are we doing about that in those states? Fucking NOTHING because as Bill said, the Democrats don't have the governors, the state legislatures, fuck they are even losing the local Board of Education seats. (See what happened in Los Angeles lately.)

  11. Anonymous4:40 AM

Stereotype much? I'm a grandma of 16,and in all of my years, some people are motivated, some are not.If your children and grand children are a disappointment to you,you have that responsibility on you.

  12. Anonymous5:20 AM

So between Kathy Griffin and Bill Maher, you must be so proud of your admired 'progressives'. What an asshole you are.

    1. Anonymous6:08 AM

Yes, those are the ONLY 2 progressives, yeppers, *eyeroll*.....
      What a dumbass you are.

    2. Well if being an asshole means I was smart enough not to vote for Putin's puppet in the election then it is a label I will wear with pride.

    3. Anonymous4:01 PM

Between EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of the Republican party, you must be really proud of your despised conservatives. What an asshole you are.
