Donald Trump uses attack in UK to push his politician agenda, and to attack London's mayor.

Trump retweeted this, right before he went on his Twitter tirade.
To be clear the three suspects, all dead now, have not yet been identified.

So there is no evidence that they were immigrants, or that a travel ban would have had any impact.
This is the most reasonable tweet that Trump sent. Might have been best if he had stopped right here.
Of course in Trump's eyes being "politically correct" is seen as a sign of weakness.
I guess in Trump's mind offering to help means misrepresenting the words of the Mayor of the city that just got attacked and then attempting to shame him publicly.

Courtesy of The Guardian:

The mayor, Sadiq Khan, did not use the phrase “no reason to be alarmed” in a statement overnight or when he spoke in a television interview earlier on Sunday.

In the statement, Khan said “Metropolitan police are responding to the horrific terrorist attack at London Bridge and Borough Market,” and added: “My thoughts are with everyone affected, and I’d like to thank the brave men and women of our emergency services who were first on the scene and will be working throughout the night.

“This was a deliberate and cowardly attack on innocent Londoners and visitors to our city enjoying their Saturday night,” he said. “I condemn it in the strongest possible terms. There is no justification whatsoever for such barbaric acts.”

I guess because the mayor did not attempt to cause undue panic, and talked in complete sentences, Trump somehow found fault with him.

But wait, there's more.
Not having a gun debate because England has some pretty serious gun control laws in place.

Does Trump really believe that if these killers had been able to get access to firearms they would not have used those in the attack?

And for fuck's sake why is he bringing that up at a time like this?

Author J.K Rowling had a fairly perfect response.
Well since the guy sitting in the White House does not know how to do this properly just let me say that as an American citizen my heart goes out to the victims injured and killed in this attack, and that I hope the people of London find some solace in the good will that is pouring into their country from every part of the world NOT led by a selfish orange tinged asshole.

    1. Trump is a buffoon. He is the face of treason and betrayal, replacing Benedict Arnold in the history books, standing on the fully supportive shoulders of the GOP.

Trump supporters think he will build a wall, kick a bunch of brown people out, and most importantly, Make America “Great” Again. They hope he will get rid of Obamacare, which ironically, will hurt them the most. Under Obamacare, my pre-existing condition is insured. Before it, I struggled to make payments. Under the exchange, I pay just $200/month for health insurance. Also - My car insurance is down to $25/month (from Insurance Panda). My renters insurance is just $10/month. Under Trump, America will become too unaffordable to live in.

Trump is either a buffoon -- not good -- or in service of the Russians -- same. His advisors and Congress need to stop enabling and apologizing for Trump's treasonous behavior. Congress needs to commence impeachment proceedings.

I guarantee the Brits have more respect for the Mayor of London, than they have for tRump - GUARANTEED. The British survived the WW11 blitz, ad they WILL overcome this. I know, I was in Liverpool during WW11.

Trump misrepresented the mayor using that to his advantage. I feel sick that we have an incompetent, conniving overall ass hole for a president.

dick FUCKing cheney's AGENDA?former ExxonMobil chief has developed a close relationship with President Donald Trump, he hasn’t done the same with his own staff or experienced outside advisers, choosing instead to lean heavily on Peterlin and policy chief Brian Hook"Tillerson himself asked his aides to find out what Rice wanted to discuss when she called, according to Hammond—but the incident jarred Rice, who publicly supported his appointment and whose consulting firm counted Exxon among its clients. She can now reach him directly."Peterlin—a 46-year-old Navy veteran, lawyer, and former Commerce Department and congressional aide—as a fierce gatekeeper who effectively shuts Tillerson off from advice and perspectives that could make him better at his job. She has also helped to impose sharp restrictions on the media’s access to Tillerson"Hook, 48, an Iowan who worked in George W. Bush’s White House and State Department, serves as Tillerson’s policy brain. " moderate in manner and vision who keeps a golf putter in his office for stress-relieving practice swings, he served as a foreign policy advisor to Mitt Romney in 2012 and publicly lauded Trump’s brief consideration of Romney to be his top diplomat in November. Hook advised most of the GOP presidential candidates during the 2016 election."In a sign of their closeness to secretary, Peterlin and Hook joined their boss for Trump’s May 24 meeting with the Pope at the Vatican, from which White House press secretary Sean Spicer was excluded."
Hook, as he tries to coordinate American policy in dozens of nations. “Brian’s hair is always on fire,” Compounding the problem is what sources described as Hook’s distrust of career officials suspected of leaking unflattering stories about Tillerson to the media. "

      I strongly agree.

Since this happens so often—likely from the same person each time—I spent a few minutes examining it. There are places where two sentences are jammed together with no intervening space. Could it be that there were paragraph breaks there, in the original text? I lost interest before pursuing the hypothesis any further.

I note that I'm not the only person who skips over these undifferentiated blobs. BTW, you can make an m-dash (—) with "—".

Google Nancy Pelosis' statement on the attack if you want to know how a real statement of concern and unity sounds like. The Manchester bomber was born in the UK so a travel ban there would have done shit. And I are correct, if guns were available there, it would have been much worse but that fact doesn't fit his agenda. So let's say everybody had guns and the terrorists start shooting and civilians start shooting back, considering the terrorists won't be wearing "I'm a terrorist" t-shirt, how do the police determine who are the good guys and who are the bad guys? And do u think trump would be attacking the London mayor if his name wasn't Khan? Also the last name of the gold star family he attacked.

    Oh how people forget.

Remember in the 80's and 90's when Radicalized Christians were bombing and shooting up legal medical clinics in the US because they objected based on their religious beliefs? The radicals here learned that violence didn't work, but putting their kind in political office and changing laws achieved their goals. Now apparently Christians are scared that Muslims will do the same.. Keep them out is the rally cry today.

    2. Anon- I don't drink, but, I do remember history- London Bridge is a bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. It was built in the 1830s and formerly spanned the River Thames in London, England. It was dismantled in 1967 and relocated to Arizona. The Arizona bridge is a reinforced concrete structure clad in the original masonry of the 1830s bridge, which was purchased by Robert P. McCulloch from the City of London. McCulloch had exterior granite blocks from the original bridge numbered and transported to America to construct the present bridge in Lake Havasu City,

  13. Terrorist attacks are somewhat preventable. Stoopid tweets from the dumbest son of a bitch to ever inhabit the WH are, unfortunately, not. This is us, America. This is what collusion with Russia during an election left us with. The biggest joke of a leader ever and until wingnuts finally put their big boy pants on and impeach this disaster, we are stuck being the laughingstock of the Universe.

"During four hard combat tours as a Marine commander, Jake Harriman began to understand why the United States is failing to eradicate violent Islamic extremism."

"Afghan kids keep joining the Taliban, which controls a growing swath of Afghanistan. ISIS, despite battlefield setbacks, recruits passionate believers in Syria, Afghanistan and Libya, not to mention Manchester, England, and Minneapolis. Extremist militias across Africa, around the Middle East and in Southeast Asia draw volunteers. And terrorism continues.

What Jake Harriman and his fellow Marines saw was that the United States, for all its battlefield prowess, does not recognize or act on the causes of violence.

      But the extremists do."

"The guys we were fighting were out in these villages winning hearts and minds,” Harriman, 42, told HuffPost. “They were dropping off food, they were building schools, they were building clinics. And yes, they were horribly oppressive. But these vulnerable populations were so impoverished that the parents had no other choices to feed their kids.”"

"Military force alone isn’t going to obliterate extremist violence. In his words, “We just can’t keep killing our way out of this problem.”"

Again we have these "low level" attacks with cars, suicid bombs, knives, trucks etc.
It amazes me that people can't put two and two together that these poor indoctrinated killers are simple people who could NEVER EVER have pulled off the complex 9-11 attack. EVER. 9/11 was helped by our fucking government. WAKE up people.

  15. Look at all those tweets about London.

What did he have to say about our own little domestic terrorist in Portland, OR or the three heroes that stepped up, two of which lost their lives.

    Damned little.

Why? Because it is his own HATE speech that inspired the white supremacist nutjob to threaten those girls and stab those men.

I doubt he even sent the tweet. It was probably Conjob using his account.

We were watching the excellent AM Joy this morning and they addresses this topic. Since reading comprehension is not a certain someone's strong suit, he didn't actually know what the Mayor said (I know, act surprised). The Mayor was asking people not to be alarmed by the increased police presence.

By sheer coincidence Dearest Hubby was filling out a political survey. At the end, he was asked for suggestions. He thought that adding the options of "Hell, No!" "OMG, No!" and "OMFG, NO!!!!" should be options when asking if he supported Cheetolini.

What does the Muslim ban and gun control in the USA have to do with terrorist attacks in Britain? As usually little donnie likes to stir the pot in times of crisis.

He is using "old tweets" and slogans from his campaign.

What does politically correct and security our own people have to do with the price of tea in China when the terrorists are home grown? Where is his tweet about the terrorist that killed people in Portland?

Good response from the Mayor of London and Rowling.

How come little donnie didn't criticize his buddy Teresa May? Because her last name isn't Khan?
