Courtesy of ABC News:
Americans give President Donald Trump the lowest six-month approval rating of any president in polls dating back 70 years, punctuated by questions about his competence on the world stage, his effectiveness, the GOP health care plan and Russia’s role in the 2016 election.
Just 36 percent of Americans polled in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll approve of Trump’s job performance, down 6 points from his 100-day mark, itself a low. The previous president closest to this level at or near six months was Gerald Ford, at 39 percent, in February 1975.
The poll also found that 63% of Americans think that it was inappropriate for Junior to take the meeting with Russians, and 60% think the Russians worked to help Trump win.
I guess this is what MAGA means, right?
I just discovered that there is a "Trump Cafe" in Bellville, TX which is a small town about 70 miles west of Houston. Apparently, it's owned by some Muslims who have owned it for years, but decided to name it after Drumpf about a year ago. Typical Republicans who have theirs, so f*ck anybody else. I hope anyone who lives near this town can spread the word and hopefully put these jerks out of business. They have a Facebook page and the phone number is 979-270-4151. Apparently they're more worried about being sued by Trump for using his name than the fact that they named their business after the most corrupt president in history.

The sooner assholes of his ilk are off the planet, the better for all of us.
There are bigger assholes in Congress.
DeleteAt least Graham and McCain stand up and speak against the orange asshole.
McConnell is the worst.
Steve King wants to use the budget money for Planned Parenthood and Food Stamps to build Trump's fucking wall.
Those two come immediately to mind.
With assholes like that, McCain is a bit down my list. But certainly not off of it.
How soon you forget.. McCain brought us Palin who led the way for Drumpf. I could give no shits about McCain now, then or ever.
DeletePatti Davis, Ronald Reagan's daughter, has a blog -- and wants us to know that "our democracy, and the dignity of America, is wounded and bleeding out."

She's correct!
DeleteLet's not forget that Ford's was that low because people were still pissed that he pardoned Nixon.
ReplyDeleteNo comparison between Ford and Trump. Ford was a much better man and leader of our country.
DeleteTrump views his 36% in terms of baseball batting averages. 36% is a 360 av and it's rare for anyone to get to 400.

ReplyDeleteDemocracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right’s Stealth Plan for America, tells the story of one James McGill Buchanan, a Southern political scientist and father of “public choice economics.” MacLean details how this little-known figure has had a massive impact on the ideology of the far right. None other than Charles Koch looked to MacLean’s theories for inspiration. They are libertarian — but with a twist: bluntly, it “entails restrictions on the freedom of the great majority in order to protect property rights and the prerogatives of the most well off.” MacLean shows how this idea can be traced down through the last 60 years of right-wing politics, starting with Brown v. The Board of Education and continuing with the Koch brothers’ empire. And she demonstrates that those followers and those in thrall to the Koch billions are pumping up their fight under the new administration.

Sounds like Fascism to me.
DeleteWe need to get rid of the jerk! He's a detriment to our society! Most certain he is an evil man with a very black heart and soul!
ReplyDeleteMost polls are taken online or phone. ANY person, bot and foreign hack can vote. This was NOT a poll of registered USA voters. The numbers are moot. The polls are moot. Trump had a small amount of usa voters that are part of his scam and crime. They should be held accountable too. Majority of Americans know what happened and demand the resignation's of Donald trump and his assigned, appointed, selected or associates of Donald trump. And A NEW emergency USA President ELECTIION WITHOUT TRUMP. WITHOUT RUSSIA. WITHOUT INTERFERENCE, All PAPER traceable, able to track NUMBERED BALLOTs.
ReplyDeleteNone of that is legal or sanctioned under the Constitution. And with our current Republican majority in both houses of Congress, it's not gonna happen.
DeleteIf Trump goes, we get Pence. If Pence goes we get Ryan.
Shit sandwiches all 'round.
What has to be done is put in a majority Democratic congress with a minimum 51 in the Senate to override Pence. Then put a Democrat in the White house in 2020.
Given the current actions of the DCCC, that's not going to happen.
We are screwed.
If only that was about religion^"“As a black scholar of race and a minister who is committed to social justice, I can no longer be part of an organization that is complicit in the disturbing rise of the so-called alt-right, whose members support the abhorrent policies of Donald Trump and whose troubling racial history and current actions reveal a deep commitment to white supremacy,”"Ware notes that large majorities of Evangelical Christians, including many Southern Baptists, have told pollsters they approve of Trump’s job as president."

That hasn’t stopped us from loving apps like Snapchat and Instagram, but we are also acutely aware of the fact that our personal data is sold and traded in ways that are often unsafe."Sixty percent of users are under 25, and 23 percent haven’t graduated from high school yet. We both fall squarely into that demographic. "A key lesson from the settlement was that apps and other entities need to get express consent from consumers before collecting geolocation data. How they ARE DOING IT^!
This is why I don't do Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter or all of the myriad other social media that insidiously collect personal information, bundle it and then sell it.
DeleteBad enough I have to use Google. I've got that privacy set at the highest and permissions set at the lowest I can.
But I still get spam and targeted ads. They know what I've looked at on other websites. And you can't disable all of the cookies or some websites simply won't work.
