The GOP for some reason decides to attack Hillary Clinton for not fixing health care even though their candidate is now president. She responds perfectly.

So for some bizarre reason the GOP decided to send out that tweet.

It pissed me off a little so I responded with my own tweet.

However apparently Hillary also got wind of it and she responded by linking to the health care proposals that she developed as a candidate.

Here are some of them:

Defend and expand the Affordable Care Act, which covers 20 million people. Hillary will stand up to Republican-led attacks on this landmark law—and build on its success to bring the promise of affordable health care to more people and make a “public option” possible. She will also support letting people over 55 years old buy into Medicare.

Bring down out-of-pocket costs like copays and deductibles. American families are being squeezed by rising out-of-pocket health care costs. Hillary believes that workers should share in slower growth of national health care spending through lower costs.

Reduce the cost of prescription drugs. Prescription drug spending accelerated from 2.5 percent in 2013 to 12.6 percent in 2014. It’s no wonder that almost three-quarters of Americans believe prescription drug costs are unreasonable. Hillary believes we need to demand lower drug costs for hardworking families and seniors. Read more here.

Protect consumers from unjustified prescription drug price increases from companies that market long-standing, life-saving treatments and face little or no competition. Hillary’s plan includes new enforcement tools that make drug alternatives available and increase competition, broaden emergency access to high-quality treatments from developed countries with strong safety standards, and hold drug companies accountable for unjustified price increases with new penalties. Read more here.

Fight for health insurance for the lowest-income Americans in every state by incentivizing states to expand Medicaid—and make enrollment through Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act easier.

Expand access to affordable health care to families regardless of immigration status. Hillary will expand access to affordable health care to families regardless of immigration status by allowing families to buy health insurance on the health exchanges regardless of their immigration status.

Expand access to rural Americans, who often have difficulty finding quality, affordable health care. Hillary will explore cost-effective ways to make more health care providers eligible for telehealth reimbursement under Medicare and other programs, including federally qualified health centers and rural health clinics.

Defend access to reproductive health care. Hillary will work to ensure that all women have access to preventive care, affordable contraception, and safe and legal abortion.

Double funding for community health centers, and support the healthcare workforce: As part of her comprehensive health care agenda, Hillary is committed to doubling the funding for primary-care services at community health centers over the next decade. Hillary also supports President Obama’s call for a near tripling of the size of the National Health Service Corps.

Great job GOP. Now you have not only reminded the American people that you have no plan for bringing affordable health care to the American people, but also that the candidate who could have accomplished that represented the Democrats in the last election.

And damn would she have made a magnificent President!

I so agree, IM! Hillary Clinton would have been an outstanding POTUS - especially when compared to what we are now seeing of The Donald! What a shame!!!

Agreed! :) This is just another magnificent example of how any information that a conservative can't pull right off the top of their head, clearly must not exist. The utter stupidity of asking Hillary what her plan is, obviously assuming she doesn't have one just because THEY don't have one. I swear conservatism is a mental illness.

Had Republicans not watered down President Obama's initial healthcare proposals, the program would have run excellently from day one. But as usual, and of course, the Republicans fought it so bitterly and it was enacted in a watered down weaker version. Truth.

According to Rachel Maddox's show tonight Putin has been planning this takeover of our nimwit president since way back when.
Polond's ousted leader was replaced by a regime that's more to Putin's taste. So Dr. Evil is lining up all his favorite little despots in every country. Would not be surprised if N. Korea is being manipulated by El Chapoaski.
The world has not caught on yet, the Putin has been planning world take over for a long time.
Nothing is coincidence. Everyone has been played. Now the puppet meets his handler.
Isn't there any saviors of us out there? Are we doomed?

Yup, Poland is back in Russia's pocket. Hungary has shifted in that direction too. Putin won't be happy until he has reassembled the entire USSR. Then he probably wants to expand it. Trump is so dumb that he's going along with it all.

Republican majority of House and Senate would have been as hellfire bent on a woman president as they did a black one to see her destroyed, and they STILL do both of them.

GEEZ, would you just let it go and make this country better, as you claim daily, for it's citizens? Oh HECK no, can't do that either!

    GOP REALLY?

YOU PEOPLE HAD 7 YEARS TO WRITE YOUR OWN HEALTHCARE SYSTEM AND YOU PROCRASTINATED. YOU CHOKED!

You angry old GOP white men tried to write TrumpCare in the middle of the night in a secret backroom (being sarcastic) without women's input.

Now that you have several rewrites and still having major problems and Trump hasn't accomplished anything in office, you now try to shame Hillary Clinton.

Basically the Republican Party healthcare tweet is a call for Hillary Clinton's knowledge and help.

And Hillary Clinton talked at length during the campaign about her plans for improving upon the ACA. The Republicans and the media were too busy worrying about the "fake news" email issue to listen.

Yeah, Nefer the Democrats had 8 years to work on it, too. The first 2 were with a Dem majority. We still ended up with the GOPHeritage plan complete with the self-destruct feature of "Hey, let's keep letting the insurance companies fuck over our constituents, while they keep us in office."

HBO featured a wonderful documentary (made by Alexandra Pelosi) with people, mostly nationally known politicians, reading the country's founding documents: the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It was the first time that I saw or heard many of the weasel Republicans now in Congress. Best of all were the little children reading the Bill of Rights.

  14. Trump is laying the groundwork to suppress votes and purge voter registrations.

“These two letters, sent on the same day, are highly suspect, and seem to confirm that the Trump administration is laying the groundwork to suppress the right to vote,” said Vanita Gupta, the CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and former head of DOJ’s civil rights division under President Barack Obama. “It is not normal for the Department of Justice to ask for voting data from all states covered by the National Voter Registration Act. It’s likely that this is instead the beginning of an effort to force unwarranted voter purges.”

Saw Nikki Haley talking sanctions to N. Korea. Wonder what they will say to Putin? Nothing. Probably. I see Putin planting all these evil thoughts of you and me against the world in donny boy's little ear.
Then we have to see more shit come out of tweets and the White House as they scramble to to damage repair.
Donny does nothing, and America is slowly being led into bowing down to Putin who planned this all along. Why? Money of coarse. I think donny and putie met years ago, and they began hatching things up.

Hillary Clinton spoke about health care repeatedly during her campaign. No one, especially in the media, paid any attention because they were too focused on the inanities that Trump was spouting and the unending chatter about "Hillary's email." The Democratic candidate's website provided lots of information about her health care positions.

What really strikes me the most is that NO Republicans have thought anything about how to provide the best possible health care to the most people in the US since they began their hate fest of the ACA. All they've talked about since 2010 (after doing their best to undermine the bill while it was in committee and under debate) is repealing it. Not a word about how to replace it best for the American people.

Isn't that just a blatant admission of their dearth of a solution. All they know how to do is destroy. Not create or improve. And to scream, "Oh, yeah? *YOU* gotta better idea?" is not only puerile, it's pointless. They have all three branches of government. It's time for them to sh*t or get off the pot as far as *proving* that they can actually *govern*. Blame time is OVER!
