Courtesy of CNN:
President Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., has agreed to sit down for a transcribed interview with the Senate judiciary committee, as investigators continue to dig into his attendance at a 2016 meeting where he was promised Russian dirt on the Clinton campaign.
After weeks of discussions, Trump Jr. has agreed on a date to be interviewed by the panel in private, according to Taylor Foy, spokesman for committee Chairman Chuck Grassley. Trump Jr. will be interviewed by senior committee staff, and senators will be invited to attend, Foy said.
This is the closest that any of these investigations have reached into the Trump family, so you know this has to be giving Trump Sr. the night sweats.
In other news also courtesy of CNN:
Special Counsel Robert Mueller has issued subpoenas to a former lawyer for Paul Manafort and to Manafort's current spokesman, an aggressive tactic that suggests an effort to add pressure on the former Trump campaign chairman.
The subpoenas seeking documents and testimony were sent to Melissa Laurenza, an attorney with the Akin Gump law firm who until recently represented Manafort, and to Jason Maloni, who is Manafort's spokesman, according to people familiar with the matter.
Manafort is under investigation for possible tax and financial crimes, according to US officials briefed on the investigation. The allegations under investigation largely center on Manafort's work for the former ruling party in Ukraine, which was ousted amid street protests over its pro-Russian policies.
It's unclear what specific information the Mueller investigators believe Laurenza and Maloni may have. But issuing subpoenas to a lawyer of someone under investigation is unusual, in part because it raises potential attorney-client privilege issues that prosecutors tend to try to avoid. Maloni, as a public relations representative, doesn't have the same attorney-client privilege protections.
I have to imagine that every time there is a new announcement like the two above that Donald Trump's orange tinted asshole just clamps down a little bit harder.

Yep, Trump is the only President whose mouth resembles an orange anus.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how the stuff that comes out of his mouth compares to the same stuff that comes out of his other end.
No comparison, its the same. The end result is shit regardless.

ReplyDelete"President Donald Trump can’t afford to fire him."
"Trump returned from a 17-day vacation to find his influence shrunken,"“He feels like this is not what he signed up for, and his accomplishments are being underplayed,” the source said. “He just looks around and says, ‘When is this going to get better?’”
Answer> When he moves to LEAVENWORTH!
Trump is not an attractive man. He looks unhealthy. However, he does not look sleep deprived and I don't think he is losing sleep over any of this. His narcissistic disorder possibly protects him from dealing with reality.
DeleteHe may be taking prescriptions in order to sleep. When he is in public he doesn't appear to be drugged but you never know. There are devices, other than pharmaceuticals, that can help him get the sleep he needs.
He releases much of his tension with outbursts of anger, his toxic unpleasantness is relief. He can hide a lot of that when in public.
If he can't fire Tillerson I am sure his mind is working overtime to find another way to get rid of him.
I think he looks very unhealthy. His eyes are often puffy and actual slits! Plus, sometimes his face skin looks red colored and blotchy.
DeleteI suspect he is medicated as to stress
and weight control. Plus, high cholesterol and blood pressure.
How about that Mattis? Trump will take care of him. I know he loves military and heroes but enough is enough.
DeleteThe MAGA military is saving Houston, that is great.

DeleteOT?" Gorsuch’s involvement will create the appearance of partiality, because that is what’s really at issue here. The code does not unequivocally proscribe this kind of activity—but it does exhort judges to “act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary.” Public confidence is already an issue for Gorsuch. The justice sits in a seat that is widely perceived to have been stolen. Dark money groups funded a $17 million campaign to keep Judge Merrick Garland off the bench and put Gorsuch on it. His chief dark money benefactor even attended his swearing-in ceremony."Gorsuch joined the court under a cloud of suspicion that he is biased at best and corrupt at worst."
ReplyDelete"the “swamp hotel” has become a symbol of Trump’s presidential profiteering and that his appearance there would undermine confidence in his neutrality."
"His appearance at the Trump International Hotel is not technically unethical, but it is imprudent and injudicious. For the court to exercise its constitutional powers, the justices must have the public’s trust." <$Tolen Justice!

Trump Tower Moscow project was tied to Donald Trump Jr’s Russia meeting
ReplyDelete...Donald Trump’s own tweet from 2013 helps to confirm that Trump and Agalarov were indeed planning to build Trump Tower Moscow together. Now you have to ask yourself if it’s a coincidence that Agalarov went on to set up Trump Jr’s election collusion meeting with the Kremlin while he and Trump Sr were trying to build that tower in Moscow.

Delete"Mueller is not restricting himself to collusion with Russia alone, but he's digging deep into the Trump-Kushner real estate and financial empire. In addition, he's investigating whether President Trump tried to obstruct justice by blocking the investigation, firing Comey, threatening to dismiss Sessions and asking U.S. intelligence officials to defend him against Russiagate charges."
"I have nothing to do with Russia. I have no investments in Russia, none whatsoever. I don't have property in Russia." And, just in case anyone missed the point, last January he tweeted in all caps, "NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA - NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!"

Mexico Offers Help to Houston, but Trump Can’t Stop Talking Up His Wall
ReplyDeletehttp://www.thedailybeast.com/mexico-offers-help-to-houston-but-trump-cant-stop-talking-up-his-wall
Humpty Trumpty is too stupid to be seriously worried about the Russian thing. He believes he is a law unto himself as the president. I am sure he has been told about the other two equal branches of our government, but I have always felt he figured the presidency is the most powerful and can do as it wants.
ReplyDeleteI remember reading a news article recently which stated the writer believed the idiot will have to be dragged out of the WH if he is impeached or thrown out by the 25th amendment. I'm inclined to agree. And if the powers that be give him enough time, the people sent to get him out will face massive waves of his base fools - which is probably exactly what he is hoping will happen.
Wouldn't it be nice if he then showed his true colors and said he was taking over the government and would rule as king? Then again, those fools who still believe in him would agree it was necessary!
The stupid is strong in that crowd.
That's how I see it. He isn't worried due to his mental illness. The stupid works for him.
DeleteI can see him removed from the WH by gun point, any other way is hard to imagine.
He is a flake and there is the possibility he will suddenly walk out, resign in some grandiose fashion he will believe makes him look great and like a strong leader.

“It’s the media, the mainstream media, who does not want him to succeed. It’s government who does not want him to succeed… No matter what he does, he’s going to get hit, and listen, I think you have to tune it out. You obviously have to be tuned into it, but at the same time you have to take it all with a grain of salt.” “But he’s doing a great job.”“There is no racist bone in my father’s body. He is the greatest guy in the world,” he insisted."
Donald Trump sent hidden tweet about Trump Tower Moscow to organizer of Trump Jr’s Russia meeting
ReplyDelete...Although Donald Trump’s tweet has been theoretically visible to the public all along, his decision to put “@AgalarovAras” at the front of it meant that it did not show up in main feed of his Twitter account, and the public would only see it by viewing his “Tweets & Replies” tab. That’s why Trump’s words were essentially hidden at the time, and have only recently been unearthed by various Twitter sleuthers who had gone hunting for any relevant mentions.
So now we know that Donald Trump was discussing the Trump Tower Moscow project with the billionaire Agalarovs all the way back in 2013. The clear upshot is that he wanted them to fund it or invest in it. Then in 2016, when Trump was still trying to get Trump Tower Moscow built, it was the Agalarovs who facilitated a meeting in which Kremlin reps offered to give election-influencing dirt to Donald Trump’s son.

Donald Trump called a senior Republican senator from Iowa on Wednesday whose congressional committee is investigating his son, Donald Trump Jr, and promised him critical federal support for the biofuel ethanol, a key issue for the lawmaker.
ReplyDeleteChuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate judiciary committee and a major advocate of the ethanol industry, announced on Twitter that he had received a phone call from Trump and had been assured by the US president that Trump was “pro ethanol” and was “standing by his campaign promise” to support the biofuel.
The phone call came less than a day after CNN reported that Trump’s eldest son had reached an agreement with the committee to appear in a private session and answer investigators’ questions. The committee, which has oversight of the Department of Justice, is investigating a 2016 meeting that occurred in Trump Tower before November’s election. During the meeting, Trump Jr and other campaign staff met with Russian operatives after being promised compromising information about the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton.
The interview with investigators could take place in the next few weeks, according to CNN.
