Donald Trump to repeal Obama era restriction on police access to military style equipment.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

President Donald Trump will repeal restrictions that former President Barack Obama placed on police access to excess military gear, allowing the the federal government to immediately resume handing out free bayonets, grenade launchers, tracked armored vehicles such as tanks and other equipment to law enforcement departments around the country.

Trump will sign an executive order on Monday that repeals the limits Obama placed on the access to some military surplus items in 2015. Obama’s move followed the “provocative” response to the August 2014 unrest in Ferguson, Mo., where St. Louis County Police officers atop armored vehicles pointed sniper rifles at peaceful demonstrators in broad daylight. Policing experts in a report for the Justice Department found that the police actions “inflamed tensions” and violated constitutional rights.

Trump’s forthcoming executive order was announced by Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a speech to the Fraternal Order of Police on Monday. Other items that federal government can again supply to local law officers include camouflage uniforms, weaponized aircraft, and ammunition above .50 caliber.

Yep, nothing says let's disperse this crowd peacefully like pulling out the ole grenade launcher and weaponized aircraft.

But hey, if President Obama was for it, it must be bad.

Right Donnie?

Although Trump induces trauma memories from a reign of terror divorcing from a like personality disordered man I predicted Trump would make illogical and irrational decisions in aggressive oppositional stances. Even world leaders realize Trump opposes everything Obama had anything to do with.

Someday I hope to see some real analysis of the damage he is doing with his vendetta against anything and everything Obama.

For instance -- how many jobs are lost with the cuts in -- and outright elimination of -- budgets and programs? Itemized please by program affected.

How many people who would have benefited from each of the programs he cuts or totally eliminates are hurt physically, financially, and/or perish because of his actions?

Of all the programs and budgets he cuts or totally eliminates, how many were put in place by Obama, vs other presidents -- again, itemized please.

And, I would like someone, some brave reporter, to ask for his rationale for each program he cuts or eliminates -- exactly what harm is he "eliminating" with the cuts? What good does he expect each to bring to him, to the people in the country?

It is not enough to just see his pattern of anti-Obama cuts. We need to see the results of those cuts -- negative, and positive if there are any, and not just cost savings.

He is an abomination and his actions are mean and evil and we need someone to show that clearly.

Maybe someone from the Obama administration could do this -- layout the facts they analyzed that lead to their actions, how they anticipated each to help people and their opinions as to harm to come along because of his actions.

One South Carolina County Shows the Insanity of Giving Military Gear to Cops
Richland County, South Carolina, has a population of 400,000 or so. But the sheriff there swore he needed a 20-ton armored vehicle and Army-grade cargo planes.

‘Tough, tough, tough’: Trump compares hurricane to his apartment buildings because ‘water damage is the worst’

I can hardly wait until Trump goes to Austin and discusses the Hurrican Harvey mess with Dakota Meyer and Bristol Palin.

There is that old idiom, moving three times is as bad as a fire. That would apply to a flood as well. How many times has Bristol moved? She would know what the victims in Texas are going through, as does President Trump and First Lady. All that empathy would make them very moved and knowing what is needed for Texas now.

Trump, Palin's greatest bond is Obama, their intense unrelenting hate and revenge passions. They may be stuck in their madness for the rest of eternity. It is a deep, deep, deep bond.

There is that old saying. Three fires equal one move.

It truly is ‘Tough, tough, tough'.

I’m not sure why this phrase isn’t all over the Internet but my folks always say that three moves equals one house fire. This is especially true if a move is accompanied by a data disaster. But let me back up and let me tell you about my backups.

    http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2017/08/why_trump_pardoned_arpaio_and_reinstated_a_militarized_police.html

"the Constitution gives presidents broad discretion to issue pardons, it’s still possible to abuse the power. In the days before the pardon, Harvard law professor Noah Feldman argued it “would be an assault on the federal judiciary, the Constitution, and the rule of law itself.” He continued: “Arpaio didn’t just violate a law passed by Congress. His actions defied the Constitution itself, the BEDROCK
"The choice to use that equipment against largely peaceful protesters sent a clear message: that law enforcement was there to subdue protests, not police them." of the entire system of government. For Trump to say that this violation is excusable would threaten the very structure on which his right to pardon is based.”
"Sessions explained that the policy change “will ensure that you can get the lifesaving gear that you need to do your job and send a strong message that we will not allow criminal activity, violence, and lawlessness to become the new normal.”"Given the circumstances of the original ban, this statement equates protests with “lawlessness” and justifies the draconian behavior of Ferguson’s militarized police department."Trump has further elevated that contempt, treating it as a symbol of his cherished “law and order,” and sending the clear signal that those in law enforcement who indulge it will not be punished."
