There are now multiple grand juries gathering evidence for the Special Counsel's Russia investigations.

Courtesy of NBC News:

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has tapped multiple grand juries, including juries in Washington and Virginia, in an effort to gather evidence in the ongoing federal investigation into Russia's meddling in the U.S. presidential election, three sources familiar with the matter told NBC News.

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that Mueller had impanelled a separate grand jury in Washington, but sources familiar with the matter say that Mueller is using existing grand juries in both Washington and Virginia.

As NBC News has previously reported, the FBI, with the help of the Treasury Department, the CIA and other agencies, is examining evidence of possible contacts, money transfers and business relationships between a variety of Trump associates and Russian officials, the sources say.

Records related to business transactions for former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn are among the documents that have been subpoenaed through the grand jury process.

So apparently the initial reporting that Mueller had impaneled a special grand jury just to look into the Russia matter was not accurate, but instead we learn that there are in fact two. (Actually to be precise it is two that we KNOW OF right now. There could in fact be more.)

Personally I think that is even worse news for Trump and his associates, because it could mean that the Virginia grand jury is gathering information about financial deals that Trump, his family and his associates, had with Russia, while the D.C. grand jury could be investigating Trump's attempts to interfere with the FBI investigation and the firing of James Comey.

The New York Times is reporting that both grand juries have already started issuing subpoenas for financial records and documents concerning business deals.

All in all it appears that the more we learn, the worse it looks for Donald Trump and his supporters.

If Trump's choices of lawyers are as ridiculously incompetent as his choices for his administration, he'd probably just better throw himself on the mercy of the court right now.

Their fiercest disappointment was aimed at Trump.

Arizona has been something of a desert mirage for Democrats in recent years; Hillary Clinton made a late stab at the state before November's presidential election, but Trump won easily.

Eight months later, however, even many of his supporters have thrown up their hands at his presidency.

"I loved him because he was different. I thought that he was really going to do a lot of change, good changes," said one Republican woman. "I hated Obama, so I was ready for a change."

Now, she said, "people are laughing at us.

"Before I felt like he could do it all, and now I think just if somebody can control him a little bit."

She said she will not vote for Trump again unless he fulfills his campaign promises — specifically his pledge to provide better health care at a cheaper price.

She fell for empty promises that merely served Trump to get votes. Trump had no plan during the campaign or after the election to deliver improved health care and make it more affordable.

Although these things were analyzed and reported she foolishly believed facts were fake news. I would bet she is clueless about the proposed bills that failed.

Eric Bolling, a longtime Fox News host, sent an unsolicited photo of male genitalia via text message to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News, a dozen sources told HuffPost.

Recipients of the photo confirmed its contents to HuffPost, which is not revealing their identities. The women, who are Bolling’s current and former Fox colleagues, concluded the message was from him because they recognized his number from previous work-related and informal interactions. The messages were sent several years ago, on separate occasions.

The women did not solicit the messages, which they told colleagues were deeply upsetting and offensive. One of the recipients said that when she replied to Bolling via text, telling him never to send her such photos again, he did not respond. Four people, outside of the recipients, confirmed to HuffPost they’d seen the photo, and eight others said the recipients had spoken to them about it.

The Moment the GOP Turned on Donald Trump

The White House is doing some desperate base-stroking, precisely because the president’s party is losing patience with him.

This week, for the first time, congressional Republicans started saying they’re not going to be led around by the nose by this president or this White House. This has enormous potential ramifications.
Think back. How many times have you asked yourself in these last six-plus months, “How can these people just sit there and take this and say nothing?” How many times a day? How many times an hour?
Well, it’s changing. It’s the beginning of the moment that non-Trump America has been waiting for.

It SHOULD have started before the election when he said things they ALL knew weren't true or were truly hateful.

It SHOULD have started when he attacked his own party's other candidates with insulting lies like Cruz' father assisted in the assignation of Kennedy.

It SHOULD have started after the inauguration when he deliberately, knowingly lied when he insisted, despite proof to the contrary, that his crowd was the largest EVER to attend.

Need I go on? Most of you know it isn't necessary.

  10. Let us not forget what should be the focus of the 2018 elections: Healthcare.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/democrats-medicare-expansion_us_598491c6e4b041356ebf7569?ncid=inblnkushpmg00000009

"In a sign that the Democratic Party is embracing more progressive health care ideas, eight Democratic senators announced Thursday that they were co-sponsoring legislation that would allow people 55 and older to buy in to Medicare.

Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) introduced the Medicare at 55 Act with the immediate support of Democratic Sens. Tammy Baldwin (Wis.), Sheldon Whitehouse (R.I.), Sherrod Brown (Ohio), Jeff Merkley (Ore.), Patrick Leahy (Vt.), Jack Reed (R.I.) and Al Franken (Minn.).

The bill, which would allow Americans aged 55 to 64 to purchase Medicare coverage, reflects the growing influence of progressive activists who are pushing for a single-payer health care system they dub “Medicare for all.”

Although the bill stops short of making Medicare universal, its embrace of expanded public health insurance, rather than the private model at the heart of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, marks a distinct leftward shift for the party."

"Stabenow’s bill echoes a similar effort underway in the House of Representatives. In July, Democratic Reps. Jon Larson (Conn.), Brian Higgins (N.Y.) and Joe Courtney (Conn.) announced that they would be introducing the Medicare Buy-In and Health Care Stabilization Act. The bill would permit Americans aged 50 or older to buy in to Medicare for as little as $8,212 a year ― a significant savings for a 60-year-old currently purchasing a high-ranking “gold” plan on the exchange for an estimated $13,308, according to the congressmen’s offices.

The legislation, which they plan to formally introduce in September, would also allot funding and take other measures to stabilize the exchanges. Including Larson, Higgins and Courtney, the bill currently has 15 co-sponsors. "

Trump is on a mission to convert white resentment into a federal agency

Trump appointees with white power leanings are not just scaling back federal civil rights protections. They are elevating the defense of white Americans across the government as the nation’s demographics become increasingly diverse.

This startling shift can be seen across many departments, from justice to education to environmental protection to labor. It’s not just top appointees in policymaking posts who have long opposed affirmative action and worked to subvert equal rights for minorities; it’s also emerging civil rights enforcement directives, proposed budgets slashing civil rights lawyers and announcementsfor new anti-minority agendas.

“This White House initiative represents a dangerous departure from policies and practices that help heal our nation’s racial divisions; instead, it serves as a desperate appeal to the worst fears of those who consciously or subconsciously despise the increasing diversity and shifting power dynamic in America today,” said Edward A. Hailes Jr., managing director and general counsel at Advancement Project’s national office.

This pro-white cant was heard at the White House Wednesday, when Trump and two GOP senators, Arkansas’ Tom Cotton and Georgia’s David Perdue, proposed legislation to make it harder for non-English-speaking foreigners to get green cards making them legal visitors, which Cotton said hurts the working class.

“It [the current immigration system] puts great downward pressure on people who work with their hands and work with their feet,” Cotton said, speaking to Trump’s white base—who often lack higher education but have solid middle-class incomes. “Now, for some people, they may think that’s a symbol of America’s virtue and generosity. I think it’s a symbol we’re not committed to working-class Americans. And we need to change that.”

Trump’s support for cutting legal immigration in half revives his racist campaign attacks on non-whites and national identity. It’s one more sign that suggests his slogan, “Make America Great Again,” actually means “Make White America Great Again.”

Comedian Bill Maher was back on “Real Time” Friday night after a month on vacation. He noted that so much happened in just a month and that just as he was coming back President Donald Trump was heading out for his 17-day vacation.

Maher noted that there’s been a lot of turnover since he was gone, referencing Reince Priebus, Anthony Scaramucci, Sean Spicer. However, he commented that there were several other demotions that haven’t been publicized.

“Eric [Trump] has been demoted to Tiffany [Trump],” Maher mocked. “Jared [Kushner] is now married to Kellyanne [Conway]. And to no one’s surprise, Ivanka is replacing Melania.”
