This seems like an appropriate time to remember this quote.

Just imagine how much better our situation would be right now if people had really listened to what Hillary Clinton was trying to say.

Oh and that was by no means the only warning.
We had the opportunity to elect perhaps the most qualified candidate in the history of this country, and she gave us every reason to do so, and still we could not help but shoot ourselves in the foot.

The fact that the White House could have been occupied by an incredibly competent woman and that it was occupied by an incredibly competent man before January 20, 2017, makes me sad every day.

A former Republican senator has suggested that Donald Trump is “sick of mind” and should be removed from office. Gordon Humphrey told New Hampshire lawmakers in a letter that has been widely shared that they should back his bid to dump Trump.

""As a citizen, former U.S. senator, and twelve-year member of the Armed Services Committee, I urge you to act [at] once. Donald Trump should be relieved of the powers of the presidency at the earliest date,” the open letter from the former New Hampshire lawmaker added."
"“Congresswoman Kuster has concerns about the potential precedent set by H.R. 1987. She is alarmed by the policies and actions of Mr. Trump, and her top priority remains the safety of the American people.”"

And, I was just remembering another quote from the campaign -- Trumps question about what is the point of having nuclear weapons if you weren't going to use them. It gave me chills when he asked that question and it gave me chills when I remembered it the other day --- after 6 months of learning how really stupid he really is.

You kept hearing that she didn't connect with the voters; talked down to them and was calculating and cold. So that allowed a loud mouthed orange lunatic to take the Presidency because he was not a politician and you could relate to everything he was spouting. Wouldn't it be better (safer) if it were the life long politician sitting in the Oval Office today and not the inexperienced, mentally challenged man-child?

The American electoral system stinks; permitting the candidate who lost the popular vote to become the POTUS and leader of the free world is a travesty.

What is so mindblowing is that people thought Trump was more relatable than Clinton.

Hillary attended public school, was a Girl Scout, worked her way through college, volunteered to provide free legal services to the poor, advocated for children and families, and helped pass the State Children's Health Insurance Program.

Trump was born into a dysfunctional wealthy family, inherited millions, declared bankruptcy several times, bought and sold high-end real estate, hosted a television show, has been married three times and lives in a gold-plated penthouse in a building with his name in huge letters on the front.

Yet, somehow, he managed to convince millions of people he was just like them!

Yes, we kept getting told that. Only it wasn't what she actually showed during the campaign. She smiled too much. She didn't smile enough. All she did was criticize trump instead of having her own policies. All she did was drone on about policies instead of "connecting" with (having a f*cking beer with?) the voters. And on and on and on.

It was so tiresome. She didn't do this, she didn't do that, waah, waah, waah.

We had obligations too as voters and that was to study and educate ourselves regarding the candidates, not sit on our asses, waiting to be entertained and fed warm and fuzzies.

Everything was available to know who was best qualified to serve as president, and it sure wasn't trump.

I am really tired of being told by pundits all the things that Democrats did wrong. What about all the things the media did wrong? Twenty-four hours a day, every day, of Trump coverage and virtually no coverage of Hillary Clinton unless it was related to those absurd email accusations. The Democrats, from the national party to the national and local candidates all said the right things but no one paid any attention. I refuse to feel guilty about having been an intelligent and thoughtful voter last November.

    4. Do y'all remember how the newsreaders would laugh at Dolt's behavior as if he were some precocious toddler? How they would show an empty podium for long periods that could have been more wisely spent? How they refused to have as guests impartial experts, people who could intelligently discuss pertinent issues? How they ridiculed Hillary's every word, mocked her health and stamina, questioned her every action, pondered her motives, her sincerity, her authenticity?

The media has a million unprofessional, unethical sins for which to atone.

    5. The media is always out for money. That means ratings.

In order to have ratings you have to make it a horse race. You have to make both candidates credible and evenly matched.

The problem is the media went to far in portraying Trump as credible and a match. They didn't realize their mistake until too late.

I guess they thought they would be attacked for showing the Republican candidate as the unqualified racist, bigoted buffoon he was. They wanted to avoid being accused of being biased.

And now we have Trump and Sinclair will make sure that real news and real facts become less and less relevant.

This is what Karl Rove brought us to. Remember him? Only took a few decades, slowly but surely, to dismantle our Democracy. And they didn't even need a Constitutional amendment to do it. Them used our democracy against us.

The U.S. is now a Fascist state. Read the checklist. We hit most of the 14 points. As long as the Republicans can continue to rig elections with gerrymandering and voter suppression they'll be in power. Doesn't matter who is in the Oval Office. They can switch them out every 8 years. They'll own the Supreme Court soon. That will be 20-30 years.

When the Democrats threw away local and state elections in favor of concentrating just on D.C., that's when we handed over this country to the Republicans.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is the elected 2017 USA President. She won the election Nov 2016. It is clear that the election was a criminal rig job. A botched criminal act. It is a good day for Donald john trump to resign. It is time for the American people to stand up and demand justice. If Hillary were sitting in the oval office today the current type hateful republicans would continue to waste our money and time obstructing progress and future of Americans. It is time to rid and remove the terrible political cancer that has invaded our homes, body and system. The current Republican party of liars and un-American bullies built this mess and own it.

THIS>" It holds Republicans and conservatives to no standard of behavior, and Democrats and liberals to a high standard that they will almost always fail to meet."

"We are now in a position to launch an immediate nuclear strike with 80 aim points in North Korea, including leadership bunkers as well as nuclear launch sites, and Trump can order this strike with a single verbal command to the Pentagon war room.”
But of course, Clinton was the dangerous one."
