Trump's new Chief of Staff called James Comey after he was fired and almost resigned due to how he as treated.

Courtesy of CNN:

New White House chief of staff John Kelly was so upset with how President Donald Trump handled the firing of FBI Director James Comey that Kelly called Comey afterward and said he was considering resigning, according to two sources familiar with a conversation between Kelly and Comey.

Both sources cautioned that it was unclear how serious Kelly, then the secretary of homeland security, was about resigning himself."

John was angry and hurt by what he saw and the way (Comey) was treated," one of the sources said. Comey learned of his dismissal on May 9 from televisions tuned to the news as he was addressing the workforce at the FBI office in Los Angeles, law enforcement sources said at the time.

Comey made a joke about it to lighten the mood and called his office to get confirmation.

Comey, who took Kelly's call while traveling back from Los Angeles to Washington, responded to Kelly by telling him not to resign, one of the sources said.

Well, isn't this interesting.

This means that the guy who is now supposed to rein Trump in, and exert some control over the Animal House like atmosphere which surrounds him, is displeased with how his boss treated the man in charge of investigating his campaign for corruption and collusion with Russia.

I wonder if Donnie knows that?

By all accounts Kelly is a no nonsense, by the book, kind of fellow.

You know the type who does not respond well to people breaking the rules, and who might be far more sympathetic toward investigators searching for the truth, than toward a president working to obfuscate that truth.

He stayed didn't he? he may be an honest by the books guy, but he's still there, and now closer than ever to the Orange Menace. Unless he thinks he can fire Jared, Princess and Bannon, he will soon follow Comey out the door.

    REMEMBER THIS?

“Sessions should have never recused himself, and if he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else,” Mr. Trump said.

“KELLY should have never SAID HE WANTED TO RESIGN himself, and if he was going to RESIGN himself, he should have told me before he took the job and I would NOT have FIRED THE MOOCH,”

The three generals are the only sane/competent/non-stained by #TrumpRussia people in the WH/Cabinet. Those three guys are going to have to really help save this country from this chaos.

Comey knows this and wants one of the sane ones to stay.

    2. Do we really want the military running the country? Because, essentially, that's what we're talking here. Trump is inept, to be kind. So you're talking about the generals, retired or not, running the country.

We've gone straight from a fascist state to a military junta, all in seven months.

  7. Senate just confirmed Christopher Wray to take over as head of the FBI.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/senate-vote-trumps-choice-lead-fbi-171852193--politics.html

"The Senate on Tuesday overwhelmingly confirmed Christopher Wray to lead the FBI, replacing James Comey, who was abruptly fired by President Donald Trump amid the investigation into Russian meddling in last year's presidential election.

The vote was 92-5 for Wray, a former high-ranking official in President George W. Bush's Justice Department who oversaw investigations into corporate fraud. Wray, 50, inherits the FBI at a particularly challenging time given Trump's ousting of Comey, who was admired within the bureau."

Given General Kelly's reputation I can not imagine him in the White House with Trump's people. However Joy Reid reports Kelly has been in lock step with Trump's policies.

Just starting from the elevator ride down, we look at old footage of campaign behavior, threats, what he said. Additionally the odd attacks, accidents and tragic events during that 12 month period. Trump gave away many hints of his criminal activities and actions. Along with his family and gangs. Trump should resign and go home to his tower and deal with his personal and family problems immediately. Liars are never successful longterm.

Bringing General Kelly in the White House is straight out of Hitler's play book.
Honestly, that Trump read, and reread this book and now he wants to finish what Hitler started.
Basically sold his soul. That's why he is in love with Putin. And Donald knows the way is to start wars.
I doubt if this guy will reign him in. Everyone's trying to steer a rabid mind. It doesn't work like that.
