One person was killed and eight others wounded Sunday after a man in a ski mask opened fire following a church service in Antioch.
The shooter, identified as Emanuel Kidega Samson, a 25-year-old Rutherford County man, accidentally shot himself after he was confronted by an armed member of the congregation and is being treated at the hospital, according to Metro Nashville Police.
Police say the gunman wore a neoprene ski mask when he shot and killed a woman in the parking lot of Burnette Chapel Church of Christ, as the service was ending shortly after 11 a.m. With his blue Nissan Xterra still running, the gunman then entered the rear sanctuary doors of the church and began "indiscriminately" shooting, police said.
Among those shot were three men and three women, police spokesman Don Aaron said.
Apparently the gunman was confronted by an usher at the church and while pistol whipping the man he inadvertently shot himself in the chest.
He ultimately survived and is in police custody.
No reason has been given for the shooting.
Just another day in the NRA's America.
Tennessee not Nebraska.

ReplyDeleteDesperate Republicans Sweeten Their Bribe To Get Lisa Murkowski’s Vote To Kill Obamacare
Senate Republicans have rewritten their unpopular Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill to increase their bribe to Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
...“An updated version of the Graham-Cassidy health care bill circulating among lobbyists and on Capitol Hill on Sunday night has changed to provide more benefits to Alaska, a move to appeal to Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who has been highly skeptical of efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act. The new version would grandfather Native Alaskans into Medicaid so they wouldn’t lose coverage after the expanded Medicaid program is rolled back in 2020, according to a section-by-section summary of the new legislation obtained by an industry lobbyist (PDF).”
Republicans are trying to get Murkowski to vote to kill Obamacare by offering her state more Obamacare. If Obamacare is so bad, and such a destructive force to the healthcare system, why are Senate Republicans trying to pass their bill by offering on the fence senators the ability to keep Obamacare?
The answer is obvious. Obamacare isn’t bad.

If their bill is so good, why do they have their own special healthcare plan? Let THEM sign up for this craptastic piece of crap.

DeleteDAMN! Just revealed by Trump's own mouth that he GROPES Melania in public (pussy grabbing) and ADMITS that he HAS PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS
ReplyDeleteTrump thinks Ivanka “looks down on me,” concedes he groped Melania in public and knows his compulsive hand-washing “could be a psychological problem,” according to a new archive of all the conversations he had on air with the Howard Stern Show.

Is it still not time to talk about gun control?
ReplyDeleteOnce the silencer bill is passed by the gop, people will be able to kill even more people. No sounds of gunfire to alarm people, just silent killing!! Imagine, whole schools of kids will be mowed down. Just one episode in the House or Senate, and sanity will come back.

Well, it was obviously God's plan for the man to go in and shoot the place up. We are all at the mercy of some vengeful sky monster that gets mad if you masterbate.

4-Domestic Violence Cases
"Samson was named as the primary aggressor in a Murfreesboro police domestic violence report filed Jan. 29, 2017.
Samson and a woman, named as his girlfriend, had been in an argument over whether or not he had cheated on her, the report said."
So Now this>
"Church minister Joey Spann shouted for congregants to run. But most were senior citizens.
"They didn't make it out,"
Members of Burnette Chapel Church of Christ did not recognize Samson on Sunday because he wore a mask, but later told police he used to attend church services there.
"He actually had attended this church a year or two years ago," "They said he hasn't been there in quite a while. They couldn't be more definitive on that, but they actually knew him." "Spann teaches Bible classes at Nashville Christian School and coaches the school's middle and high school girls basketball teams."
I wish news organizations would not use "ski mask" when a criminal wears a face mask. Most of the time I'd call it a "robber mask". No self respecting skier would wear a mask like that.

For the record, according to the usher's own statements, he was not armed until the gunman was wounded and then he ran out to his car and got his own gun and held the suspect for police.
