McConnell and Trump drumming up support to go after Obamacare one last time.

Courtesy of Politico:

Obamacare repeal is on the brink of coming back from the dead.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and his leadership team are seriously considering voting on a bill that would scale back the federal government’s role in the health care system and instead provide block grants to states, congressional and Trump administration sources said.

It would be a last-ditch attempt to repeal Obamacare before the GOP’s power to pass health care legislation through a party-line vote in the Senate expires on Sept. 30.

McConnell says that he will bring this up for a vote if he can get fifty Senators to support it.

So far he does not have that  many, but they are just now ramping up the pressure.

For those who are wondering here is a breakdown of how bad this bill will be for the American people.
You can find information on how to contact your Senators here.

They are trying to push this through under the radar so we need to make as much noise as possible.

Fuckers! They could give a rat's ass for Americans across the land. And, many of these idiots voted for Trump and will be harmed by their Republican dealings. Go figure!

    1. But they *can* do it and those same idiots will still vote for them.

That is the fundamental problem. There is no way to apply pressure when they know they can do any shit they want and are in no danger of losing re-election.

That wasn’t just an ordinary Senate hearing,"

Trump team wanted military vehicles in inaugural parade: report

President Trump's inauguration team wanted to show off the U.S. military during his inaugural parade, even going so far as to ask the Pentagon for photographs of "military tactical vehicles" that could be used in the parade, The Huffington Post reported Wednesday....

The documents back up a previous report that the Trump administration wanted to include tanks and missile launchers in the inaugural parade.

In January, an inauguration source told The Huffington post that Trump was "legit thinking Red Square/North Korea-style parade," in reference to massive military parades in Moscow and Pyongyang that are often interpreted as displays of aggression....

Trump says he wants a massive military parade down Pennsylvania Avenue on July 4

President Trump's trip to France for the country's Bastille Day parade in July left a big impression. So big, in fact, that he wants to replicate the experience back home....

I hope someone reminds him that the Fourth of July is a celebration of the people, not a military might show. Is Trump willing to pay for boosting up Pennsylvania Avenue for his parade? I doubt it.

I hope ANY parade that Trump tries to plan for himself on the 4th of July, will be stopped immediately! The last thing Americans want is to see is Trump, his wife, Ivanka and son heading a parade. They would be taunted throughout the entire thing and would opt out along the way! Trump cannot stand ridicule and you can be sure he'd receive one heck of a lot of it!

    Washington Post:
Who loves a parade? Trump wants to showcase military might

By Darlene Superville | APSeptember 18 at 5:24 PM

UNITED NATIONS — Who doesn’t love a parade? To a city that already offers many, President Donald Trump wants to add one that showcases U.S. military might.

It would take place on July 4 in Washington with, as Trump envisions it, tanks and planes rolling down and streaking above Pennsylvania Avenue.

Trump talked up the idea Monday as he sat down for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, who hosted the president and first lady Melania Trump for France’s military parade in the center of Paris on Bastille Day in July. Trump said the two-hour procession was a “tremendous thing for France and for the spirit of France” and suggested he wants the same for Americans.

In typical Trump fashion, the president said he wants the parade to be bigger and better than the one he saw in France....

“It was one of the greatest parades I have ever seen,” Trump said. “It was two hours on the button, and was military might, and I think a tremendous thing for France and the spirit of France.”

“And to a large extent, because of what I witnessed, we may do something like that on July 4th in Washington, down Pennsylvania Avenue,” Trump said. “We’re going to have to try and top it.”....

Trump and his bride should be made to walk/waddle in front of the parade for the entire duration of it. Trump would collapse and his bride would end up bare foot!

Can you imagine France hosting them? Know they'll hate doing so!

The thought of a giant military parade on the Fourth of July is appalling. The Fourth is meant to be a gigantic kind of birthday party for the country with picnics and sparklers and fireworks in the evening. It should not be turned into a Stalin-esque mockery of the holiday. The Trumps should do as the Obamas did: have a big picnic for service men and women and their families and then enjoy the annual concert (shown on PBS) and the fireworks. It's a day for a party!

If Trump is so anxious for military parades with huge weapons on display, he should move to his favorite country, Russia, or maybe to North Korea.

I've been in Paris on Bastille Day and the most important part of the day is NOT the military display but the dancing in the streets following the local street parties the evening before and the fireworks display on the night of Bastille Day. Only Trump would be turned on by the military toys in a parade.

Besides, wasn't he told before the inauguration fiasco that Pennsylvania Ave. could not support the weight of a display of US military might? Even his request for military weaponry in that parade showed how little he understands the country he now (unfortunately for us) leads. The inaugural parade is meant to be a showcase for each state with lots of high school and college bands. It's supposed to be a celebration. Of course, many of us were in mourning on January 20, 2017, and unable to celebrate but Inauguration Day is certainly not a day to brag about military strength.

Trump simply does not understand the history or the traditions of this country. Where the hell has he been for over seventy years?

They'll just keep going after it. The problem is that many of us are simply exhausted from protesting every idea the insane 21st century GOP comes up with! I think the GOP leadership knows this and assumes they'll sneak this one through and then they'll sneak the fake "tax reform" through. So the richest will still be able to afford health care; the poorest won't; and the richest will get even richer with the tax gifts the GOP is going to hand them. So much is corrupt about this administration and their pals, the GOP Congress.

  11. Rand Paul is already a no as it doesn't go far enough.

I suspect Murkowski and Collins will be nos again as it goes too far.

John McCain may also be a no when he finds out how many veterans will lose their healthcare.

DJT won't be POTUS July 4.

"“They seem to be pursuing this more aggressively, taking a much harder line, than you’d expect to see in a typical white collar case,” said Jimmy Gurulé, a Notre Dame law professor and former federal prosecutor. “This is more consistent with how you’d go after an organized crime syndicate.”

The tactics reflect some of the hard-charging — and polarizing — personalities of Mr. Mueller’s team, seasoned prosecutors with experience investigating financial fraud, money laundering and organized crime."

ALASKANS!!!!!!!! ALL RED STATERS!!!!!!!!!!!! (Do I have your attention) We blue staters did our job last election day. Our senators are leading the resistance. Now it's YOUR TURN. Call your senators. Call them every day. Call them twice a day. If you're phone shy, text RESIST to 50409. Phone prompts will lead you through a simple process and send faxes to your senators and reps. We blue staters can't do much more, but YOU CAN. And if you don't, we'll all suffer.

Tell me- how many people do you know who don't have preexisting conditions?

All of us are at risk.

What I'd really like to see is an amendment that requires Congressional reps to be insured under the laws of their own state. That would put an end to this.

    3. We need one more besides Murkowski and Collins.

Can't depend on Rand Paul's promise he will vote no nor on John McCain swinging back to no because it will take insurance from Veterans.

They don't have 50 votes yet, but if they do they'll bring it to the floor and could pass it with no debate or amendments in 2 minutes.
