US bombers have flown close to North Korea's east coast to demonstrate the military options available to defeat any threat, the Pentagon has said.
It said the flight was the farthest north of the demilitarised zone between the Koreas that any US fighter jet or bomber had flown in the 21st Century.
Tensions have risen recently over Pyongyang's nuclear programme.
At the UN, North Korea's foreign minister said US President Donald Trump was on a "suicide mission".
Ri Yong-ho's comments to the General Assembly mimicked Mr Trump's remarks at the UN on Tuesday, when he called North Korean leader Kim Jong-un a "rocket man on a suicide mission".
Mr Ri added that "insults" by Mr Trump - who was, he said, "mentally deranged and full of megalomania" - were an "irreversible mistake making it inevitable" that North Korean rockets would hit the US mainland.
Jesus Christ! Are we on an elementary school playground here?
So while we are all distracted by Trump's bizarre attacks against NFL and NBA players, he is busy starting World War 3.
Great.
Can we just fly over and drop the prize instead of fight? These 2 whack offs must stop this nonsense pronto. Time for the big boys to take charge. 4 Peace on Earth.
ReplyDeleteWill there be a military coup?
ReplyDeleteHere or there?

Kushner used private email to conduct White House business
ReplyDeletePresidential son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner has corresponded with other administration officials about White House matters through a private email account set up during the transition last December, part of a larger pattern of Trump administration aides using personal email accounts for government business.
Kushner uses his private account alongside his official White House email account, sometimes trading emails with senior White House officials, outside advisers and others about media coverage, event planning and other subjects, according to four people familiar with the correspondence. POLITICO has seen and verified about two dozen emails.
“Mr. Kushner uses his White House email address to conduct White House business,” Abbe Lowell, a lawyer for Kushner, said in a statement Sunday. “Fewer than 100 emails from January through August were either sent to or returned by Mr. Kushner to colleagues in the White House from his personal email account. These usually forwarded news articles or political commentary and most often occurred when someone initiated the exchange by sending an email to his personal rather than his White House address.”
Aides who have exchanged emails with Kushner on his private account since President Donald Trump took office in January include former chief of staff Reince Priebus, former chief strategist Steve Bannon, National Economic Council director Gary Cohn, and spokesman Josh Raffel, according to emails described to or shown to POLITICO. In some cases, those White House officials have emailed Kushner’s account first, said people familiar with the messages.
The decision to set up new, private accounts as Kushner was preparing to enter the White House came in the wake of a bitter election campaign in which Trump routinely excoriated his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton for using a personal email account to handle government business when she was secretary of state.

Lock him up!
DeleteLOCK HIM UP! Krooked Kushner. (As if we didn't already know that he would do something like this.) This is the guy who wanted to set up a back channel to the Kremlin. No wonder Cheeto like him. Just like his father-in-law.
Delete"North Korea has invested heavily in cyberattack operations to disrupt its Western enemies. Western Intelligence services blamed the 2014 attack against Sony on North Korea's spy agency, the Reconnaissance General Bureau. North Korea is also believed to be responsible for the cyber heist at Bangladesh's central bank and the global WannaCry ransomware attack from earlier this year."
ReplyDelete"The goal for North Korea's cyberattack operations, beyond flying under the radar, is to inflict death by a thousand cuts -- a deliberate and organized disrupt-and-attack approach in line with the country's national strategy. Arguably, the more money and resources North Korea can steal via cyberattacks, the stronger its kinetic military can become."
"Cyberattacks can affect more than just bank accounts or identity theft; they can shut down power transmission, turn off water and prevent aircraft control towers from safely landing planes." Even those planes^

Oh he just got tired of paying cable. Snark. ;)
DeleteOf course Trump & his friends will make money from a war & trump will be able to play dictator. Hey America, I'm tweeting about sports again, don't pay attention to my terrible foreign policy and my deals with the Russians.
ReplyDeleteWell Sarah should have spoken when she had the platform. $$$$$ her vision.
DeleteHow's that working out? :/
The crowd of 300, not well...
DeleteShe couldn't raise hell now even if she tried. And she has tried before. Resigned
because of it. Shrug.
It's the moneyed powers that be that are behind this. They want war. War translates into money. More money. And more money.
ReplyDeleteThen in the coarse of war you obliterate nuisance unnecessary humans, and make a few points on what race is superior.
Truth be told, no war in history was every victorious. In the end there was just history to be told. Whoever told it could sway it one way or the other. But really, no one won. Except maybe, those who profited by it.
i am so scared. this is THE reason i was so afraid dumpt would win the office. he's a bully. North Korea was "fine" left alone. POTUS just had to oped his yuge maw and start acting like a 2 year old. you know it's bad when the guy you are opposing makes more sense and is more stable than the president. i don't want to die like that. i don't want to die like that.
ReplyDeleteidon't want Earth to die like that. (maybe that's what happened to Mars?). can some one do something, anything to this crazy, insane ass who is running our country to death? i can take Pence-he's an ass too but is a stable ass.
Stop giving your power away. Look up. We got asteroids coming. Boys will tilt missiles upward when they realize they have no sandboxe$ to play in. ;)
DeleteAs in my youth days of Vietnam, I do not know why anyone would want to join the military. Reindeer games and your life means nothing to them.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... Gotta admit, they do have a point about Drumpf being deranged.
ReplyDeleteHow come they can see it from all the way over there and half of our own people can't see it right in front of their noses?
Too busy watching NASCAR.
DeleteTick tock.
