More than two-thirds of Republicans feel the news media poses a bigger threat to the United States than white supremacists, according to a new poll.
The results of a Fox News survey released Wednesday:
69 percent of Republicans think the media is a larger threat than white supremacists, compared to 18 percent who said the opposite.
76 percent of Democrats think white supremacists pose a greater threat.
45 percent of men think the media poses a greater threat, while 43 percent said the opposite.
You know when I first read this my first thought was "Damn those Fox News viewers are ignorant!"
But then I thought about it and realized this is not ignorance, it is tribalism.
These Republicans do not fear white supremacists because those are THEIR people.
"White Supremacists aren't so bad, I have Thanksgiving with a whole bunch of them every year."
People keep saying that I am supposed to stop vilifying these people and simply try to see things from their point of view.
Yeah, that's not happening.
We certainly have idiots living amongst us in America! Frightening as Hell. Avoid Republicans as they are extremely detrimental to your health! Starting w/Donald Trump and his klan!

ReplyDeleteThe media narrative that really gets under Trump’s skin
Many things about the media seem to irritate President Trump, but one narrative that really gets under his skin is that someone else controls him. It's a direct shot to the pride of a man who built his political brand on being the one who — “alone” — can fix the nation's problems...

Anyone as predictable as Trump is totally manipulable. Psych 101. Is he that stupid?
DeleteIt's what he hated most about the SNL Bannon/Death sketches.

ReplyDelete"The situation, le Drian said, is “extremely serious.”
" "We see a North Korea whose objective is to have missiles capable of transporting a nuclear weapon tomorrow," according to Agence France-Presse."
"“At that moment, when it has the capability to hit the U.S., even Europe and at the very least Japan and China, with a nuclear weapon, the situation will be explosive.”
"“Resume the path of dialogue without conditions.”<Macron
Ally or no, if China was smart they would take Un out before this gets too far. If he can reach Japan he can reach China. Nothing stopping him from dropping a nuke on them since he is a crazy person.
DeleteThe utter destruction the Republikkkans are proposing for our country is criminal. They can neither think nor strategize and are certainly ignorant. The history of that ugly, uneducated, lying group, of false xtians put us in the gutter. They spoke of family values and Jesus and have no concept of how to implement those traditions. The rest of the world is dumbfounded at how stupidly Putin was allowed to take over the US by those right wing Nazis.

"Paul Ryan, tried to blame Obama for Trump’s expected decision to end DACA protection for more than 800,000 immigrants who were brought to the US as children."
It does!
ReplyDeleteTo THEIR version of America.
Most republicans are idiots. Never mind that they voted for Trump; look at how Trump still polls among these knuckle-draggers. It's the party of extreme stupidity. These people have no critical thinking skills at all. They are easily herded to and fro by charlatans.
ReplyDeleteYet they trust the 'facts' coming from Alex Jones and Fox. And global warming is a hoax. Is it even possible to be stupider than a republican? They can be relied on to vote against their own interests and in the interests of the 1% every.single.time.
ReplyDeleteCNN reporter rescues a guy from his truck that was being washed downstream. Took Alex Jones one day to doctor the video and call it Fake News. And all of his sheep believe it.
ReplyDeleteWhen will Alex Jones have Dakota Meyer for his guest? Meyer has a lot to say.
DeleteHe talks about being anxious and wanting to get in the game. What is holding him back? He is too busy cleaning up Texas?

DeleteHow to Avoid America’s Coming Years of Lead
ReplyDelete...Mounting chaos in America suits Vladimir Putin perfectly, and we should be wary of Kremlin provocations designed to make our increasingly messy politics violent. That is a fate all Americans of good faith should to seek to avoid. A good start would be denouncing anyone who accepts violence as a solution to political disputes. Moreover, those who brandish the flags of genocidal totalitarian regimes have no place in a law-based democracy and ought to be treated as the pariahs they are.

"People keep saying that I am supposed to stop vilifying these people and simply try to see things from their point of view."
ReplyDeleteThey deserve to be vilified. They are tribal ignoramuses. They don't get a pass because they have low IQs and need a huckster they trust to 'explain' why they should harbor lethal hatred of people of a different ethnicity. They are a malignancy in society similar to a cancer. They are self centered children who 24x365 think "what's in it for me." They elected one of their own who pisses all over them and they don't even realize it.
I'm looking very carefully at that photo of a bunch of skinny white boys sporting noodle arms and pencil necks and I have to agree, I don't find them very frightening, laughable in their impotence and self-loathing, but not very scary.
ReplyDeleteI think 2/3 of republicans are white supremacists and they are just acknowledging it. Such an example of self realization is rare among such beings.
