MSNBC host Joy Reid's epic rant to the Bernie Sanders supporters is certainly something worth sharing.

I have to say that I pretty much agree with everything that Joy said here.

In fact I think it links up well with my post from yesterday.

Once again I will say that it is time to move forward.

But not forward to some internal revolution that tears the Democratic party apart in the search for progressive purity, but forward to a realization that we are all stronger together, and that the enemy we face is only made stronger by our lack of cohesion.

Great! I super-support what Joy Reid tweeted. I have been "unsubscribing myself" from any email group that shows Bernie Sanders' face. He is not a Democrat, has never been a Democrat. I don't know what he is - other than in it all for himself.

It's also why I never watch Chris Hayes' show. And Hayes wonders why Hillary won't come on "Inners." LOL. Was Bernie on his show 100 times in the past 2 years?

Chris Hayes plays to opportunities and nothing more. Stopped watching him a long time ago. I don't know his current ratings, but I'll bet he'd dropped substantially in viewership.

      I agree.
When are they going to realize dnc let him. Allowed him. Me too Joy. We are not friends like we were any longer.

Bernie Sanders is, and has always been, full of baloney! He would have made a horrid potus and I doubt would have won any election! Plus, his wife would be an inept first lady!

If memory serves, she only let him back down when they'd pocketed $10M. Why I have not and never will contribute to a political candidate.

He's spawned a so-called revolution lead by a woman who probably convinced more people NOT to vote for our nominee than anyone else, short of Susan Sarandon. Go f yourselves. Look what you've done.

Is the FBI still investigating him and his wife for fraud?

Internecine squabbling over the last election and Clinton/Sanders will not get progressive thinkers elected and these horrible reationaries out of office. It's time to try to find as much common ground as possible and to move on.

Amen 1:31 PM. Enough Gryph. We get it. You don't like Bernie. There are other people running now for Congress and soon the White House. Let's get on with that and move on from events that occurred last year. At this point it's just smug self- righteousness. If this reliving the past keeps up Trump will not get impeached and he will be re-elected. Enough with the self-indulgence. Time to unite against Trump.

    1. That's the fucking point of the post dipshit.

The problem with moving forward is that Bernie supporters have now infiltrated the Democratic party and, much like the Teabaggers, and demanding purity from their DNC candidates and threatening primary challenges for those who do not meet their bullshit standards.

We need to work together but that will not happen with anarchists threatening to burn the party to the ground.

My fucking god gryph, take off the tin foil hat why don't you? You really think that the average person puts nearly this much thought into what the fuck is happening in their political party?

You be foolin' yourself boy, 'cause ain't nobody doing much but voting for whomever the party tells them to.

Hillary won the popular vote, remember? That strategy obviously works but Dems need to work on romancing the states that actually matter, those with the Electoral Votes that they need to actually win an election.

    3. Anonymous5:40 PM

lol Gryph. The ground has shifted under your feet and you refuse to acknowledge it. Hillary is not the future so you may as well stop talking about her. And btw, both you and Hillary, and Joy Reid (whover the f she is) could all use some mirrors.

Why Gryph I am one of your most loyal readers and you calll me a dipshit? How Bernie Bro-ish!
It was just too hard to take your call for unity seriously after you endorsed that divisive and pointless Joy Reid screed.
Your worship of the Democratic Party establishment is misplaced. Awash in corporate money, they're isolated from what matters to most Americans and cling to power for its own sake. That's why Democrats cleared the field for Hillary: it was the money Choice. All the big money came out for her right outta the gate, and nobody made a peep - except for Bernie. Unlike Bernie, I am a Democrat and I am grateful to him for pushing the issues of economic equality, healthcare for all, and Wall Street corruption in the campaign. No one else dared: all afraid of the Clintons. I hope we've learned the lesson that political power has to come from the grassroots, not Washington poor-bahs.
Does Bernie suck as a human being? For sure. Should he have dropped out earlier? Definitely.
Did Hillary lose because some 80 year-old socialist played dirty? No.
She lost because she was a terrible candidate propped up by a corrupt Democratic establishment. Progressive purity? How about SOME progressivism in the Democratic Party? Maybe a party that nominates someone who loses to Donald Trump - and doesn't even know she's gonna lose to Donald Trump - needs to be burned to the ground - or at least take a hard look at what they've become and start moving away from corruption and insider politics. If that makes me a dipshit, I can live with it.

      https://www.yahoo.com/news/history-donald-trump-apos-tasteless-134501942.html

"On the actual day of the attacks, Trump, a New York real estate mogul, tastelessly bragged about his downtown Manhattan building, 40 Wall Street.

Calling in to a New York TV news broadcast, as the station aired footage of the World Trade Center towers collapsing, Trump claimed that his property would now become the tallest building in the area."
      {tinydjt}
“40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was actually, before the World Trade Center, was the tallest — and then, when they built the World Trade Center, it became known as the second-tallest,” he said. “And now it’s the tallest.”"

      Canonization

"Speaking at Judge’s funeral on Sept. 15, 2001, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said simply: “He was a saint.”"
" “Mychal really knew that gay Catholics were being treated like second-class citizens by the church,” Sapienza said. Judge “loved being Catholic,” Sapienza said. But he also “loved being gay.”"in July, the Vatican announced that it had expanded its criteria for sainthood, creating a new category for people who willingly sacrifice their lives for others: oblatio vitae, the “offering of life.” This new category of saints does not need to have been killed directly because of their faith, and they need display only “ordinary” virtue."
"homosexuality as “objectively disordered.” In Judge’s embrace of his own sexuality—even if it was a celibate embrace—he presents an implicit challenge to Catholic orthodoxy. Sixteen years after Mychal Judge’s death, what would it mean for the Catholic Church to elevate an LGBTQ person to sainthood "

Granted, Hillary was not perfect person. She had flaws. We all do. But she literally was the only one standing between us and the imposters propped up by Putin who now occupy the White House.
Americans that stand divided are doing themselves in. Literally.
While we bicker about party politics, Trump, Bannon, and Putin slowly turn our world topsy turvy. Almost too late to undo that.
