Puerto Rico is in near devastation since being hit by Hurricane Maria, but here is the president fighting with the NFL again.

This of course is a carry over from yesterday's Twitter rant, which followed comments made on Friday attacking NFL players that #takeaknee.

That means that Trump has spent an entire weekend attacking the most popular sporting event in America (Only interrupted by a brief attack on another of America's favorite sports.) instead of actually doing his fucking job.

Meanwhile, like I said at the top, the US territory of  Puerto Rico has been decimated by Hurricane Maria, and not a peep out of the Orange Fuhrer.

The People's President Hillary Clinton has urged Trump to send in the Navy to help deal with the tragedy:

"President Trump, (Defense) Sec. (James) Mattis, and DOD (Department of Defense) should send the Navy, including the USNS Comfort, to Puerto Rico now," the former presidential nominee tweeted Sunday morning. "These are American citizens."

But so far America's response has been minimal at best.

Apparently Trump has been too busy attacking Republicans who have not passed a bill to repeal Obamacare, and continuing his feud with the NFL.

That last one resulted in an ethics complaint being filed against Trump for attempting "to influence the employment practices of a private entity “solely on the basis of partisan political affiliation."

By the way Trump also retweeted this a little while ago.
Methinks that Trump does not really know much about Pat Tillman, because from what I learned about the man he would probably have already taken a knee a long time ago.

How true, the People's President Hillary Clinton. She is reasonable and sane. To think the Navy would be in Puerto Rico and aiding natural-born citizens of the United States as if it was Texas or Florida.

*It's official: Clinton swamps Trump in popular vote. CLINTON WON BY 2,864,974 POPULAR VOTES. Clinton total votes 65,844,610. The unpopular one 62,979,636, how much of those votes were due to crimes against America by the Russians.

Trump is the absolute worst person we could have leading our country. You could give a shit less for those poor people in Puerto Rico. Trump appalls me!

Everyone - contact your representatives in the United States Congress and tell them to do some work for the nation and Americans! They are following in the steps of Trump like fucking idiots!

Impeachment is the ONLY answer when it comes to Trump. We need Hillary Clinton leading our country!!

Why isn't President Donnie Dotard complaining about Tebow taking a knee during the anthem? Is it ok to disrespect the flag for religious reasons? Or maybe it has more to do with Tebow being white and Kap being black.

Shortly after the hearing began, some protesters in wheelchairs were physically removed from the hearing room by police officers as protesters continued to chant “No cuts to Medicaid!”

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) put the committee in recess while police removed the protesters. Later, he told the shouting activists that if they can’t remain quiet, “then get the heck out.”

Friendly fire happens in war. Why cover up friendly fire? It is an accident and unintentional.

Using 'friendly fire' as an excuse when you set out to kill someone off, that would be covered up.

Intentional 'friendly fire' is murder even if there is a successful cover up.

I was not convinced that Pat Tillman was killed by friendly fire. It has been a long time since that happened, from what I recall it was clear the military covered up the truth.

It was a time when the military, administration and officials were lying about many things so they could have their wars and convince people to support the wars and young men and women to sign up to fight.

The whole uber patriot themes and propaganda was necessary to get recruits.

Now they have Dakota Meyer to carry on the propaganda and themes of that time.
They will not call him out on stolen valor although it is well known his award was not given because he was legit.
I check him out now and again.
He was again training for war, boots on the ground. He talks his talk and said he wanted to re-enlist. He and his buddies are what Pat Tillman was to be, great for recruiting.

They need wars to get pumped up and have purpose.

      Not fragged
the first use of the word “fragging” in a prominent newspaper appeared in a January 1971 Washington Post opinion piece about troop withdrawals and the winding down of the war by columnist Chalmers Roberts. “U.S. forces, now knowing they are on the way out but not knowing just when, have developed an enclave mentality and a philosophy of ‘Why take the risks in a war that’s winding down?’ Recent reports from Vietnam talk of demoralization and of draftees ‘fragging’ gung-ho officers; that is tossing hand grenades at them to put a stop to aggressiveness.”

In 1970, in addition to Tate’s murder, the U.S. Army reported 209 cases of fragging."

    6. Anonymous11:03 PM

I read many articles and renditions about the killing of Pat Tillman. Most were written to dismiss the thought of fragging. Not one of them were convincing. They had to admit the first lie. I doubt they would admit a second one. It only took one person to take Tillman out, no one else in the platoon had to know.

Puerto Rico Governor Pleads For Help As Trump Abandons US Hurricane Victims

As Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló is openly pleading with the White House for help in avoiding a humanitarian crisis, Donald Trump is busy tweeting about the NFL, and not planning on offering disaster relief for another 2-3 weeks.

...“We are U.S. citizens that just a few weeks ago went to the aid of other U.S. citizens even as we’re going through our fiscal downturn and as we were hit by another storm. Now, we’ve been essentially devastated. Complete destruction of the power infrastructure, severe destruction of the housing infrastructure, food and water are needed. My petition is that we were there once for our brothers and sisters, our other U.S. citizens, now it’s time that U.S. citizens in Puerto Rico are taken care of adequately, properly.”

The White House isn’t going to request disaster relief from Congress until the first or second week of October:

DOD was doing anything for recruitments. They did not want a draft. They wanted to go to war and they couldn't do that withour recruits. That is why people like Dr. Laura's son could have his crimes covered up. She was a top propagandist for war, DOD, military would lie and cheat to protect their tools. It was a disgusting time for America. Tragic that we could not charge and convict the war criminals. All of them. Things have changed some but the same old cover ups just go on and on. Hurting and killing more innocent people.

Pat Tillman was a star for recruiting. He saw the light while in Afghanistan. He was going to finish what he signed up for but he would have come out with the truth one day. He had to go.

Curious is Killed in Action the same as killed by friendly fire?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous4:11 PM

Not necessarily. If you were in battle or attack, plane or helo crash, ship sink, etc. that is Killed in Action.

You could be killed by enemy or accident. Or you could be killed by friendly fire. That all counts as Killed in Action.

Killed in Action is an umbrella for all the assorted ways to die, including friendly fire.

Intentional friendly fire, which has been alleged with Tillman, is murder that is covered up in the messiness of war.

But not all friendly fire is intentional. War is messy. Things happen, people get confused and accidentally shoot each other.

I just realized, family accidentally shooting family, little kids shooting themselves with guns, could be considered friendly fire of gun ownership.

      Delete
    2. Anonymous4:31 PM

" ... At first, the Army reported that Tillman had been killed by enemy fire.

Controversy ensued when a month later, on May 28, 2004, the Pentagon notified the Tillman family that he had died as a result of a friendly fire incident; the family and other critics allege that the Department of Defense delayed the disclosure for weeks after Tillman's memorial service out of a desire to protect the image of the U.S. military." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Tillman

According to wiki Tillman was killed by the 'enemy fire' to protect the image of the US military. Later they would claim 'he had died as a result of a friendly fire incident.'

The latter was a better way to protect the U.S. military. The truth about how and why Pat Tillman died will not be revealed.

Shame on you trump. Why don't you quit?

    CNN:
San Francisco 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who drew national attention last year for protesting police brutality, especially aimed at African-Americans, by refusing to stand during "The Star-Spangled Banner" prior to kickoff.

In March, Trump bragged his Twitter account was helping keep Kaepernick unemployed.

"It was reported that NFL owners don't want to pick him up because they don't want to get a nasty tweet from Donald Trump," he said during a campaign-like rally in Louisville, Kentucky. "Do you believe that? I just saw that. I just saw that."

Yet Trump has typically only spoken in glowing terms of his relationships with people in the league, such as New England Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft and quarterback Tom Brady.

Both Kraft and Brady have distanced themselves from Trump's remarks.

"I certainly disagree with what he said," Brady said during an interview on sports radio Monday. "I thought it was just divisive."

"I am deeply disappointed by the tone of the comments made by the President on Friday," Kraft said. "I am proud to be associated with so many players who make such tremendous contributions in positively impacting our communities."

AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE

This feud is because the NFL cock blocked The Bum back in the late 1980s and 2014.

    TIME TO SETTLE OLD SCORES

    BBC:
What's really driving Trump in his NFL feud?

    By Anthony ZurcherNorth America reporter

    It's personal

Before Donald Trump was a politician or even a reality television star, he was a professional football owner. The league was the star-crossed USFL in the mid-1980s, and the team was the New Jersey Generals.

Then real-estate magnate Trump bought the team in 1984 and helped encourage the USFL, which was then playing its games in the spring, to move to the autumn, where it would go head-to-head with the NFL.

The NFL crushed the fledgling USFL. Mr Trump unsuccessfully tried to sue the larger league for antitrust violations, many teams went bankrupt, and the USFL eventually folded.

Fast forward to 2014, and Mr Trump had another run-in with the NFL, when he tried to buy the Buffalo Bills team. He was outbid by an energy-sector billionaire and - in a move that should now be quite familiar - took to Twitter to vent his anger.

"Even though I refused to pay a ridiculous price for the Buffalo Bills, I would have produced a winner," he tweeted . "Now that won't happen."

He also called NFL games "boring" and "too soft", adding that he was glad the deal didn't go through.

In other words, Mr Trump has a longstanding grudge against the NFL - and if there's one thing we know about the president, it's that he likes to settle old scores.

Honey Badger don't care. Imho, I don't believe Trump cares about the NFL, he is using it. He cares about not looking like a racist. He doesn't want 'takeaknee' to be about police brutality or racism. He needs it to be about the flag and respect the anthem.

Trump does care about his travel ban and repealing ACA. Trump made repealing Obamacare one of his top campaign promises in 2016. Trump wants his promises to win and he needs the wall and the travel ban.

As time goes by he looks more and more like a serial loser. Susan Collins is a NO vote on the repeal Obamacare. That makes three.

On July 7, 2016, Micah Xavier Johnson ambushed and fired upon a group of police officers in Dallas, Texas, killing five officers and injuring nine others.

"Chief Brown said that Johnson, who was black, was upset about recent police shootings and the Black Lives Matter movement, and "stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers."

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_shooting_of_Dallas_police_officers

This isn't the only incident either. There are several other incidents of officers assassinated in the line of duty by those professing allegiance to BLM.

Bureau of Land Management must manage the transparent wall that will not be built. Trump's imaginary bill collecting from Mexico. He still uses all that to trick the chumps that follow him.

What happened to the moron that swore if Trump did not build the wall he knew for certain the people he lets down would kill him.

      Like shoot him dead.

What happened to that? I don't think the stupidest of Trump stupids would still believe Trump will build a see through wall that Mexico will pay for.

Anonymous4:26 PM That is horrible. I can't imagine anyone liking anything like that to happen. Or any similar incidents, it is vicious, sick and tragic that there are individuals like that. Too many slip through the cracks.

They could swear allegiance to the Mormon Church, the Boy Scouts, the U.S. Marine Corp., the Republican Party and any number of organizations. They could attend meetings and swear loyalty. That doesn't mean that is what the Marine Corp. is about.

Johnson, an Army Reserve Afghan War veteran most likely needed mental health attention and help.

Lone assassins have mental problems and probably want to belong.

Be sure to read the entire Wikipedia about Johnson and the shooting.

Black Lives Matter had nothing to do with it. Johnson was upset with them and his father has a lawsuit. There was no connection other than what is in their heads. It makes no sense to associate Black Lives Matter as if they are part of why this happened.

"Investigators found no ties between Johnson and international terrorist or domestic extremist groups."
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_shooting_of_Dallas_police_officers#Motive

"The Veterans Health Administration released documents in August 2016 showing that Johnson had symptoms for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following his return from Afghanistan."

"Johnson had offered to work security at an anti-Donald Trump rally led by Dallas civil rights activist Reverend Peter Johnson on June 16, but he insisted on bringing a gun, so the reverend declined."

"Leaders associated with the Black Lives Matter movement, including organizers of the protest rally, condemned the shooting."

Johnson had no alligence to the Black Lives Matter movement. Only what was in his PTSD traumatized head.

"Cops killed nearly twice as many whites as blacks in 2015. According to data compiled by The Washington Post, 50 percent of the victims of fatal police shootings were white, while 26 percent were black. The majority of these victims had a gun or "were armed or otherwise threatening the officer with potentially lethal force," according to Mac Donald in a speech at Hillsdale College.

Some may argue that these statistics are evidence of racist treatment toward blacks, since whites consist of 62 percent of the population and blacks make up 13 percent of the population. But as Mac Donald writes in The Wall Street Journal, 2009 statistics from the Bureau of Justice Statistics reveal that blacks were charged with 62 percent of robberies, 57 percent of murders and 45 percent of assaults in the 75 biggest counties in the country, despite only comprising roughly 15 percent of the population in these counties."

BLM is a both a joke and a terrorist organization.

About 2 to 2.5 number of white people vs black people are killed by police every year.

You will of course say- well there are more white people... but ignore the facts that:

According to the US Department of Justice, African Americans accounted for 52.5% of all homicide offenders from 1980 to 2008, with whites 45.3% and "Other" 2.2%. The offending rate for African Americans was almost 8 times higher than whites, and the victim rate 6 times higher. Most homicides were intraracial, with 84% of white victims killed by whites, and 93% of African Americans victims were killed by African Americans .

It is in the best interest of America to scrutinize emails for a Trump aide as was done for a Democrat.

Kushner may be a Democrat and some say Donald Trump is more Democrat than Republican.

Republicans were the ones that would run him for president so he is a Republican president.

      Kushners are Republican aides.

The whole Tillman episode is just too sad.

Since the photo is there, and I've always wondered, why do they wear hats that droop over the side? Is there a practical or historical use? Isn't it hard to keep on and hard to see past?

I've seen others with hats that were canted beyond the practical and have wondered. Is it only for "dress" occasions and photos?

Am I so distressed by current events that I'm looking for any distraction, including hats?

Speaking of patriotic, has anyone seen the tv ad for Trumpybear? I kid you not; I thought it was a skit from SNL. Google it and see for yourselves it is real.

For only 2 payments of $19.99 you can get this teddy bear with an orange combover and inside is the American flag. All made in China, I presume. They have all these so-called patriotic folks talking about how they will make American great again by showing trumpybear on the flagpole, they golf with trumpybear etc. Talk about disrespecting the flag.

In the 13 years since Pat Tillman was killed by friendly fire near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, he has become a symbol of the supposedly tight bonds between American football and American militarism and American patriotism. There’s no clearer evidence of Tillman’s symbolic potency than Donald Trump retweeting the following tweet this morning
    http://deadspin.com/stop-using-pat-tillman-1818689197

Here’s what Gary Smith wrote in his 2006 opus on Tillman, “Remember His Name.” "Everybody who thought he’d enlisted purely out of patriotism, they missed reality by a half mile. Sure, he loved America and felt compelled to fight for it after more than 2,600 people at the World Trade Center were turned to dust. But his decision sprang from soil so much richer than that. The foisting of all the dirty work onto people less fortunate than an NFL safety clawed at his ethics. He had uncles and grandfathers on both sides who’d fought in World War II and the Korean War, one who’d taken a bullet in his chest, another who’d lost a finger and one who’d been the last to leap out of a plane shot from the sky. On a level deeper than almost any other American, he’d reaped the reward of those sacrifices: the chance his country afforded him to be himself, all of himself.
He yearned to have a voice one day that would carry, possibly in politics, and he was far from the sort of man who could send others into a fire that he had skirted. His relentless curiosity, his determination to live his life as if it were a book that would hold its reader to the last word, pushed him into the flames as well. The history of man is war, he told his distraught brother Richard, so how, without sampling it, could he ever know man or himself completely? “Are you fucking crazy?” was all Richard could splutter."
