Hillary Clinton didn't win the presidency, but she's in line for something almost as interesting -- the crown of "Wonder Woman."
The Women's Media Center, co-founded by feminist Gloria Steinem, told us that it is giving the latest Democratic presidential candidate its first "Wonder Woman Award" for her "extraordinary accomplishments" and public service.
"Like Wonder Woman, she seems to have superhuman strength, resilience, and courage," said the group in a reference to the famous comic and TV character.
"Hillary Clinton's actions have inspired and protected women and men on every continent," said Steinem. "She has battled negative forces and helped to maintain a fragile peace with her negotiating skill on behalf of this country and peace-seekers everywhere. She has handled all this with grace, grit, determination, integrity, humor and fortitude while remaining a steadfast feminist, advocate, activist, sister and tireless leader in the revolution. With this award, the Women's Media Center declares Hillary Clinton our Wonder Woman."
I am not going to lie, though I really appreciate when people recognize Hillary's contributions, I mainly posted this because I know it will drive the wingnuts around the bend.
They simply HATE it when people celebrate Hillary in any way, shape or form.
By the way did you catch Hillary on the Graham Norton Show?
Here she is explaining how she tried to get out of going to Trump's inauguration.
Now see, that is we needed to see more of on the campaign trail.
I think it might have helped.
yes! she is getting the awards she earned. we need more women like her.
ReplyDeleteHillary haters appear to be for the most part gullible neophytes(children of voting age) in the political arena. They couldn't spot the propaganda. Some of them still can't and 'Boris' is constantly scrambling their noodles. I hope they mature and can spot the hucksters. Our future depends on it or we may have another Trump working for the wealthy. It is almost over for me but I hope younger folks don't vote themselves out of existence by voting for Russian mobsters and anti-environmentalists.
ReplyDeleteEat your heart out Melania Dump. You'll never be as loved or admired as Hillary Clinton.
ReplyDeleteMelania is just a sad case married to a man that treats women and anyone he wants like shit.
DeleteHe is an abuser, he can only be with a loser. He has the money to keep the external in expensive clothes and he can feed her greed to make her appear to be a 'happy' wife.
Had she been able to do something with the Bully project she claimed she would do, there was a chance she could have been her own person and done something significant. Regardless of her choice in husband material. Not even her son meant enough for her to carry on with her claims to do something about the bully problems.
Hopefully, Barron's nannies are as capable to school him as Ivana's help was able to do for the older kids. They grew up to be creepy men, but were lucky with being able to go to school.
She has no intention of working. She wants her fashion magazines and her platinum credit card. Had he lost, they would be divorcing now. They despise each other. The tell for me was that stupid appearance where she introduced him and he shook her hand, then pushed her off the stage "Go sit down, honey." She should have clocked him.
DeleteLet's leave Melania alone. Granted she married him just for the money, but she's got it bad enough living with that piece of shit that we don't need to shit all over her too. And if you think she can leave any time she wants, take a look at how Spicey and Kelly and Priebus have rolled over for him, and ask yourself, "what are they afraid of?" This is not blind loyalty or even pay offs. This is fear.
Delete$kank Melania Alone? Never! @9:18
DeleteAt least she gets to enjoy herself.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right -- when campaigning, she comes off like a phony but it's because she is forced to do bs stuff. She is actually likeable and wonderful and genuine. It makes me so angry at her campaign people.
If the USA was not so horrifically corrupt, THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT. The Russians and the con man stole that from the people of our country.
ReplyDeleteHey how come Donald didn't get the Wonder Woman?
ReplyDeleteI do believe that's what Junior's fake Time cover was about--can't have Daddy out of the spotlight, can we?

I agree getting Tax Cuts approved is important (we will also get HealthCare), but perhaps no Administration has done more in its first.....

BS--all of it..
DeleteMore like: ending water and air protections, gutting women's health care, gutting public schools for money, wasting taxpayer millions on his 'vacations,' wasting more on his Cabinet's private planes, more servicemen killed in nine months than the last year, lies and more lies from everyone in his admin, NO legislative wins. Not one. Creep.
He is drafting 1000 civilians to pilot planes. It may not be for war. He wants to fly his cabinet, staff, generals and all their dog and children where they want to go.
DeleteLook how tough things got for poor Steve Munchkin and his wife? If they have 1000 pilots available that would help them a great deal.
FACTS: ~Will 50 be 'drafted'?

Trump will lose his shit over this! Hopefully they have given him a facsimile nuclear football.
ReplyDeleteWhat Hillary should have done during the campaign was kick Donnie Dotard in the nuts when he was stalking her on the debate stage. Then she should have turned to the audience and said, "No one intimidates me."
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a beer with this Hillary. I've always said she may have compromised here and there, but that's a good politician. I guess people just don't like that in a woman.
ReplyDeleteHEY PUERTO RICO HOW AM I DOING?
