So Robert Mueller interviewed Reince Priebus yesterday.

Courtesy of Politico:

Former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus was interviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller's team on Friday, according to his lawyer, William Burck.

“Mr. Priebus was voluntarily interviewed by Special Counsel Mueller’s team today. He was happy to answer all of their questions," Burck said.

The interview, which took place at the special counsel's office, was expected as part of Mueller's sprawling Russia-related investigation. Priebus had been preparing for several weeks, according to people who spoke with him.

Mueller's team is expected to interview a number of other current and former White House aides, including former press secretary Sean Spicer, current chief counsel Don McGahn and communications director Hope Hicks.

I know that Trump is forcing his staff and administration to sign NDA's but I wonder if those hold up to interrogation by Mueller's team?

After all Trump humiliated Priebus during his entire time with the White House. One would think that he would not be terribly determined to keep his former bosses secrets for him.

And we certainly know that Priebus knows him some secrets.

In other news Roger Stone may, or may not, have revealed the guy who connected him to Julian Assange.

Courtesy of CNN:

An attorney for Roger Stone says the longtime confidante to President Donald Trump has complied with the House Russia investigators' request for him to provide the identity of his intermediary to WikiLeaks' founder Julian Assange.

But Stone's attorney, Grant Smith, would not say whether that meant Stone had in fact revealed the identity of his WikiLeaks go-between to the House intelligence committee.

"Mr. Stone has complied with the committee's requests. No further statement will be issued," Smith said, declining to answer any additional questions.

I do not have a lot of faith in this House investigation and to not expect them to come up with  much, but hopefully if they get any information it is being fed to the Special Counsel.

Every day it seems we get just a little closer to the truth.

  1. Mueller wants to investigate the way investigations were meant to be investigated, not the wingnut's multi-failure, multi-re0penrd Benghazi spectacles.

Mueller wants to find the truth so he is conducting his investigation carefully, thoroughly, and behind closed doors.

The Republicans in Congress knew there was nothing to the Benghazi accusations, but they counted on the very public hearings and rumors to convince voters that she MUST have been guilty of SOMETHING! Unfortunately for all of us, it worked.

My guess is that Trump's group have all worked together as to how they'll answer various questions and have shared the questions asked, after they've been interviewed Mueller!

I don't trust any of them as far as I could toss them!

    1. Remember, both Priebus and Spicer came from the RNC. They were never part of Trump’s group and have both been kicked to the curb. I doubt there is any love lost there. They certainly won’t perjure themselves for him.

When they were kicking Priebus to the curb he was saying super nice things yet about Trump. It's like they are in a cult and have been brainwashed. I doubt if he told Mueller's team anything other than lies.

  4. Any good interrogator knows that if "persons of interest" all have the exact same description of what happened, they are covering up and/or lying. Everybody filters what they see differently.

Persons employed by the federal government cannot be required to sign NDAs and they would not hold up in court. That includes political appointees.

I believe he required them during the campaign but you're right govt employees cannot be asked/required to sign them.

Exactly. I don't know why Gruphen writes crap like this. A NDA would never hold up.

@9:22 That makes no difference to a vengeful Trump. None whatsoever. He thinks he's above the law.

Even if they had signed NDAs, they could not be enforced if criminal acts were involved. But no NDAs were signed from people like Priebus and Spicer, anyway.

I would like to see ALL of the Congressional hearings broadcast Live. Why are they indulging these Mama's boys in closed door sessions?

Stop being wimps, Congress. Let's get the hearings out into the public domain like Watergate and let the U.S. Electorate see what its all about.

Besides, Congress could screw-up a one car funeral.

  13. Sure. Let’s open up that testimony so they can publicly ask Hope Hicks how many times a week she has sex with Donald Trump and for how many years.

These 19 fucking morons really have no clue how much they really don’t want public hearings.
