19 Republican Congressmen sign letter attempting to interfere with investigation by Special Counsel.

Nineteen Republican congressmen signed on to a letter sent out Friday requesting congressional hearings to keep special counsel Robert Mueller and his team of lawyers accountable.

“This team has sweeping authority and an open-ended mission, yet they are allowed to operate largely in secret, selected by and ultimately accountable to only one person: Mr. Mueller himself,” the letter sent to House Judiciary Committee chairman Bob Goodlatte and Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley states.

Texas Republican Rep. Brian Babin started asking his colleagues to sign the letter in August. The congressmen who signed on include: Iowa Rep. Steve King, Arizona Rep. Trent Franks, California Rep. Duncan Hunter and Virginia Rep. Dave Brat.

“With numerous reports emerging almost every day on possible conflicts of interest and allegations of political bias, it would be in the interest of both the public and the Special Counsel team to speak to the American people through their elected representatives in Congress,” the letter continues on to say. “Accordingly, we respectfully request that one of broth (Sic. I will assume they meant to type "or both." It is so hard to get good help these days.) of the Judiciary Committees immediately convene a public and open hearing or series of hearings to bring Mr. Mueller and his team out of the shadows and into the public square.”

Steve King? Duncan Hunter? Trent Franks?

Oh yeah, nothing partisan about these folks.

I am going to imagine that this letter will have little impact, which is good as it is clearly an attempt to undermine or sabotage Mueller's investigation.

Remember, before he was chosen as the Special Counsel the Republicans LOVED Robert Mueller.

This does however indicate that the investigation is cutting close to the bone and that Trump and his cronies are panicking.

Why would these people try to obstruct the Russian investigation? Are they on Putin's payroll too?

They are sociopaths looking out for their own self interest. They have no loyalty to the USA or its people or anyone else. Dumb hicks (who love Hannity at al.)voted them into office without the faintest clue what type of people they are. They are traitors. The folks who voted for them are ignorant flag waving, bible and gun toting shit stains who hate brown folks. in other words, the absolute worst of the worst.

The whole purpose of appointed Mueller to investigate would be so it was independent as possible and away from partisan politics such as what these 'Congressmen' are attempting. Nice try guys, but its not going to work.

  3. There are now 19 names the DNC need to target the next time they come up for re-election no matter how much of a “sure thing “ they are. Time to stop with the safe bets and hit them hard. Time to drop the gloves and get dirty and vicious. No matter how bad the Republicans play, the Democrats have to play worse. No more high road shit. That just gets you second place every time.

These folks are corrupt. To the core. The slimy fuckers need to be ousted from the government positions they abuse. Yea, I know it is just internet bravado, but I am very large and a mountain of muscle and I would love to have these these corrupt tiny baby men line up so I could slap them down one after another. I'd end up in prison and they would be consulting surgeons om how to get their faces reconstructed. It's just a fantasy of mine because I know they would remain evil. Facial reconstruction won't change that. But venting can be good even if the actual scenario will never happen.

Can you imagine the outcry if Democrats had wanted to watch over all of the commissions that were put together to investigate both Clintons over the years? over and over and over???? These GOP politicians and their arrogance just make my skin crawl.

Gee, when Ken Starr was 'investigating Clinton,' I don;t recall him coming before Congress to report on his findings. And he was responsible to no one (except Gingrich, who was married and screwing AIDE Calista at the time.) Yes, Trump is panicking and trying to get this all to go away. Sorry, Donny, money laundering is a federal crime.

Also on the list is Joe "You Lie" Wilson but no Dana Rohrbacher. Maybe he thought it was too damed obvious for him to sign a letter trying to interfere with the Russian probe.

"A close associate of Donald Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn arranged a covert investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server when she was secretary of state, and through intermediaries turned to a person with knowledge of the “dark web” for help."

Donald Trump’s allies in Congress make desperate panic move as Robert Mueller closes in on him

...This is the clearest signal yet that Donald Trump’s allies now fear the Trump-Russia investigation is rapidly reaching the point at which there’s no turning back, and Trump’s eventual ouster will be all but guaranteed. It’s not a coincidence that these nineteen Republicans have signed onto this desperate legislation just as Priebus has begun meeting with Robert Mueller in a manner which suggests Priebus has flipped on Trump.

Reince Priebus may have been spying on Donald Trump for Robert Mueller last week

So now we’ve reached the point where Donald Trump is literally attempting mass murder against United States citizens just for kicks, and then meeting with an anti-American extremist group and declaring “Merry Christmas.” The 25th Amendment was crafted specifically in case a United States President descended into total mental incompetence. Trump has gone to an even worse place: he’s senile and pure evil.

The conspiracy between Donald Trump, Paul Manafort and Russia is “worse than anyone has imagined”

...Here’s how MSNBC analyst Matthew Miller summed it up: “Whatever actually went on between Paul Manafort and [Russian oligarch] Oleg Deripaska, I guarantee it is much worse than anyone has imagined.” (link). It’s becoming progressively easier to figure out why. If Manafort was using the Trump campaign to get his $60 million Russian debt wiped clean, and Trump knew about it, then it means that A) Trump was every bit as financially in debt to the Russians as we’ve always suspected, and B) Trump was also using his campaign to try to wipe out his Russian debt.

That makes Donald Trump a full blown traitor. He conspired with a foreign enemy to rig an election so he could seize the presidency. Part of that conspiracy involved Russian election-related hacking, which can be defined as an act of cyberwar. That makes this literally treason. Not only is Trump going to prison, Paul Manafort could end up with the death penalty.
