When Donald Trump lied about contacting nearly every family member of soldiers killed in the line of duty, the White House did not even have the list of the soldier's names.

Courtesy of the Washington Roll Call:

In the hours after President Donald Trump said on an Oct. 17 radio broadcast that he had contacted nearly every family that had lost a military servicemember this year, the White House was hustling to learn from the Pentagon the identities and contact information for those families, according to an internal Defense Department email.

The email exchange, which has not been previously reported, shows that senior White House aides were aware on the day the president made the statement that it was not accurate — but that they should try to make it accurate as soon as possible, given the gathering controversy.

Not only had the president not contacted virtually all the families of military personnel killed this year, the White House did not even have an up-to-date list of those who had been killed.

The exchange between the White House and the Defense secretary’s office occurred about 5 p.m. on Oct. 17. The White House asked the Pentagon for information about surviving family members of all servicemembers killed after Trump’s inauguration so that the president could be sure to contact all of them.

Capt. Hallock Mohler, the executive secretary to Defense Secretary James Mattis, provided the White House with information in the 5 p.m. email about how each servicemember had died and the identity of his or her survivors, including phone numbers.

The email’s subject line was, “Condolence Letters Since 20 January 2017.”

Jesus Christ to you even believe this?

Well of course you do, because this is just another example of Donald Trump lying about shit to the media, and his staff scrambling to somehow try and make it seem true.

We have seen this over and over again, starting with the size of the crowds at his inauguration.

However it certainly appears that somebody on the White House staff is tired of covering for this orange tinted asshole.

    'Stolen Valor'
is a term applied to the phenomenon of people {PERSON} falsely claiming military awards or badges they DID NOT earn, SERVICES THEY DID NOT PREFORM, Prisoner of War experiences that never happened, and other tales of military derring-do that exist only in their {tinydjt} minds."

Track Palin, by way of Sarah Palin running for office, is a perfect example of stolen valor.

He was never a combat vet.

Sarah needed to win an election when she ran with war POW McCain. Her son had to be spectacular and that was hard work. From day one, she with the military, DoD, pentagon, created a fantasy.

Including his 9-11 connection story. Track Palin was to be her go to man when she needed to be kept up to date with the war in Iraq and/or Afghanistan. He was to be like his brothers in arms.

Instead of doing 9 mos like his bros, he kept showing up back in Wasilla. The scam was not working but it went on for quiet awhile. Eventually, the booze and drugs were obvious and more came out but they can still manage to cover up the most of the lies and fraud of stolen valor.

They have the connections and know how to work it for all it's worth. Track is not one to be employed but he has money and a house, toys and all to keep up his 2 daughters and the baby mamas. New girlfriends and all the things a 'combat' vet needs to feel like a man.

Sarah can continue to act as a darling of military men and women. The wonderful friend to Gold Star mothers and anything to pad her resume. Forever hoping Putin, Fox, Trump or any rich conservative will see how valuable she is for war and her Evangelical cred. Thanks Track for your combat service, the one you stole that is. It is still of use to the con.

I hope they check out all the Trump's 'my generals.' They all seems to come from the same bad boy club. They know how to play games and follow some rules so they can get by with their crap. I know some are liked and have good reputations but they are all pretty close to the same mentality as Trump and Michael Flynn. "General Flynn" https://twitter.com/GenFlynn?lang=en

Trump’s Cabinet is starting to look like the staff of one of the most storied units of the Iraq (war crime) War. You can retire the general but the general headtrip does not retire. Old man, Old boys club. Warmongers and loyal to their bad selves and scurrilous leaders

I would love to hear from other presidents what protocols were in place if any regarding notification of servicemen killed in action and if condolence letters were routinely sent from the White House which the presidents signed. My guess is yes because the White House used to send congratulations notes for births of any citizen which requested or sent a birth announcement.

Trump tells many lies to self aggrandize and lies about others to further aggrandize self.

There is not a shred of humanity left in the 21st century GOP or in its shining star, Donald Trump. What mayhem are they planning to bring forth next?

There's now been a presidential exec. order for the drafting of retired military pilots. Are they going to go back to those who fought in the Korean War, the Vietnam War, WWII (if any are still left)? Or are they limiting the draft to those who fought in the Bush Middle Eastern wars and since?

Why not draft Donnie and Eric - I'm sure that they think they're smart enough to pilot Air Force bombers or will they both develop heel spurs suddenly?

In less than ten months, the GOP and Trump have managed to turn this country into a "rogue state" that will be as dangerous as any rogue state has ever been. Is there no sanity at all among Republicans?

God help us all, and I write that as a sincere prayer.

Perhaps it's because they have their own links to the Russian oligarchy that they would prefer go unnoticed."

Isn't it interesting, Anon at 1:31 pm, that "party loyalty" is so much more important to Republicans than loyalty to their country. I think that, in their all-consuming hatred of President Obama and all Democrats, Republicans switched their loyalty to Putin and his Russian crooked cronies. It was also another source of money and we know how important money is to the GOP. Still wrapped in the American flag (for effect only), the GOP got rich, stole an election and now has a Russian master. This is not good for our country but what do they care.

    BAM!

After video came out showing one of Kelly’s claims about Congresswoman Frederica Wilson to be untrue, Huckabee Sanders said today that questioning a 4-star general would be “highly inappropriate.”

Melber charged that far from Kelly being the “last hope” to change President Trump, “it looks like it’s Trump who is changing Kelly.”

And he sent a message directly to Kelly in response to Huckabee Sanders’ remarks:

“Let me say this tonight to General Kelly. You will be debated. You will be questioned. And you now have an obligation to retract this odd White House spokesperson claim. Our Constitution explicitly places the military under civilian control.”

    https://www.mediaite.com/tv/ari-melber-let-me-say-this-tonight-to-gen-kelly-you-will-be-debated-you-will-be-questioned/

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is a Four Star Marine General who gave his son to this nation. That is why it was such a relief when he joined the Trump White House. Everyone thought he’d bring order to a dangerously chaotic situation. However, as Donald Trump’s attacks on Rep. Fredrica Wilson (D-FL) in the midst of a Gold Star family’s grief, General Kelly revealed his true colors. Instead of smoothing things over, he escalated the attacks, and actually lied about Rep. Wilson from the White House press podium. Well, one person isn’t having any of this crap: Comedian and host of HBO’s Real Time Bill Maher.

During a blistering statement on his Friday night panel, Maher said of Kelly:

“He smeared and lied. He smeared that congresslady and he lied about it. He was supposed to be the Trump-minder, but now he acts like Trump.”

“You can be this guy that everybody says ‘you are the man of unimpeachable integrity,’ or you can take political hit shots and be the hatchet man. You can’t do both.”

Republicans who obsessed over Benghazi silent on 4 US troops killed in Niger

Republicans who pushed multiple investigations for years into the attack on U.S. facilities in Benghazi have nothing to say on the deaths of four soldiers in Niger.

Trump sent soldiers on doomed Niger mission while military said they lacked support

Trump sent the four U.S. soldiers who died in Niger on their mission even after the military had warned that they needed more support — support they never received.

The four American soldiers who were slain in Niger were sent into harm’s way on Donald Trump’s orders, even though the military had made clear that there was not adequate support in the area.

The L.A. Times reports that “for months before the ambush” the military had requested the presence of drones, other surveillance aircraft, and additional military medical support to back up operations in the theater of operations.

Those requests were resisted by the U.S. ambassador to Niger, who was “reluctant to increase the American presence in the country.”

The military, acting on orders from Trump, who is the commander in chief of all armed forces, went ahead with the doomed mission.

Niger is a wealthy enough African country. Independent enough. So why is it so secret about our special forces troupes in the country?

If we are there, why not have needed equipment and protection for our men and women?

Where all do we have secret war missions? Who are the people that are watching all this?

Trump is calling 1000 civilian pilots to give up civilian life. They are going to be flying somewhere. Is it a big secret? Who are the overseers?

McCain is talking to one of his 'girlfriends' to finally learn about Niger. Why did it take so long?

‘Facts do matter’: Don Lemon blasts ‘lying White House’ in brutal shredding of John Kelly falsehoods

In an brutal commentary segment during his CNN show, host Don Lemon pounded the White House for continuing to attack a black congresswoman and allowing White House Chief of Staff John Kelly to lie about her.

From the outset, Lemon hit President Donald Trump’s administration for “lying” before slamming them for a pattern of deceit.

In particular, Lemon took umbrage with White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders challenging reporters by saying Kelly’s military background makes him above criticism — even when he doesn’t tell the truth.

“With all due respect, it is absolutely appropriate to question anyone when their facts are wrong and when they refuse to admit it,” Lemon lectured. “That goes for a general turned chief of staff, a press secretary and a president of the United States.”

“Sadly, the truth is that lately it seems no one who stands at that podium is able to admit that. To admit that facts do matter. So why lie?,” he asked.

Colonel Jack Jacobs (U.S. Army, Ret.) is right. Palin's pathetic stolen valor family, including the son in law that cain't get right. Duh, that claims he married a daughter, posted a call from Trump to a woman who a lost her husband in Afghanistan. Not Myeshia Johnson, who is burying her husband Sergeant La David Johnson today.

He can't confront any of the issues the inept Trump and his lackey have created with the four deaths in Niger. So he posts a tape of Trump calling a Gold Star widow where he sounds better. He does not pay attention to his sloppy work on his Facebook. The Russians, robots, and trolls that follow him are not too bright, the insanity that follows in the comments is too much and horrible to read.

Sloppy Duh has everyone confused and they can't figure out about how the Niger ambush soldier was also killed in Afghanistan. Duh has no respect for the deceased or family. It is not about them, it is about Trump apologists. Duh just lets chaos rule. At least his leader, Trump is not getting called out for his call to Myeshia Johnson on Duh's Facebook.

Every now and then a robot will comment like most of them talk "Trump loves all of them" "He cares for the military". They sprinkle through the chaos positive about Trump and the military, How much he does for them, how much he cares. The call in the post that Dub put up is much nicer than what happened to Myeshia Johnson, so they think he is sincere and caring. The "liberals" are bad and to blame, sos. They have no clue about CoS Kelly taking the WH podium and attacking the Congresswoman and friend of the family. Just some crazy woman in a hat, blame her, too.

Duh will do what Fox does. Get out all the wrong and mixed up information, never clear it up and people can refer to it as bad "Clinton, Obama libs" fault for years to come. Trump was the nicest consoler, he is wonderful to Gold Star Families and he loves the military and everyone in it. That is what they call "facts".

One of the most annoying features of the 21st century GOP is that they have all ignored the very real fact that President Obama, Vice President Biden and their wives did more for American military servicemen and women and their families than all their predecessors put together. Trump goes golfing instead; the third wife poses in front of her dressing room mirror; and the Pences sit in their mansion and pray. They have not continued the work with families of American servicemen and women that the previous administration began. Republicans are like that.
