Minnesota Republican state lawmaker accused of sexually harassing women and of blocking a female lobbyist from leaving his office by saying "I have a raging boner, you can't leave."

Courtesy of Raw Story:

A Minnesota Republican lawmaker is under fire for sending abusive texts to a female colleague and reportedly sexually assaulting a female lobbyist in his office while insisting she help him with his “raging b*ner.”

According to the City Paper, state Rep. Tony Cornish under attack after he was accused of sending unwanted sexual comments to Rep. Erin Maye Quade (DFL), who provided text messages to a local paper.

Late Thursday night, Cornish had his chairmanship of the House Public Safety Committee suspended by House Speaker Kurt Daudt (R) while the allegations are being investigated.

More damning, however, are charges from a female lobbyist, who wished to remain anonymous, who claimed Cornish stalked her and solicited her for sex for over a year, once physically grabbing her in his office while trying to kiss her.

According to the woman, Cornish once blocked her from leaving his office, repeatedly telling her, “I have a raging boner. You can’t leave.”

What is wrong with men?

And it is not just Republican men, Kevin Spacey, Louis CK, Harvey Weinstein are all guilty as well.

It is like men with any power whatsoever feel that it gives them the right to force women, girls, or even young men, to see, touch, or interact sexually with their penises.

It doesn't.

And it also seems as if the very worst one is currently representing our country while occupying the people's house.

You know perhaps it is time to clean house, and eject these pussy grabbing douchebags from whatever positions of power they currently inhabit.

Maybe ultimately THIS will be the legacy of the Trump presidency.

For women to finally rise up and say "enough is enough" and to start holding their former abusers accountable and to send a message to any future abusers that they are done being a victim.

Because men and some women think rape and sexual assault is all about sex,it isn't.

    It is about power!!!

What's really sad is that George Takai has now been identified as fondling a young man after he passed out from drinking at his home.

Only one accusation so it didn't happen, right? I don't remember because I was drunk, right?

    3. As 6:00am said, how would you know if you've been groped if you are passed out? This one doesn't feel real in the same way the other accusations feel honest.

  4. I've been mulling over "men's clubs" and how these guys defend each other. Studio 54, Eyes Wide Shut. Bill Clinton may have been involved, some say. It'll just go deeper underground, but if some people are spared, that's good.

" hundreds of thousands MORE MEN were qualified to VOTE, and it was common for them to FEEL that they had been elevated to the status of a gentleman, thus they sought a club."
"By the late 19th century, any man with a credible claim to the status of "gentleman" was eventually able to find a club willing to admit him, unless his character was objectionable in some way or he was "unclubbable"
"They were a convenient retreat for men who wished to get away from female relations, "in keeping with the separate spheres ideology according to which the man dealt with the public world, whereas women's domain was the home."Gentleman's clubs were private places that were designed where men can relax and create friendships with other men. In the 19th and 20th centuries, clubs were regarded as a central part of elite men's lives. They provided everything a regular home would have. Clubs were created and designed for a man's domestic needs. They were places to relieve stress and worries. They provided emotional and practical needs.
" Gossiping helped confirm a man's identity both in their community and within society at large. It was often used as a tool to climb the social ladder. It revealed that a man had certain information others did not have. It was also a tool used to demonstrate a man's masculinity."

"In the United States, the term "gentlemen's club" is commonly used to refer euphemistically to strip clubs." #1 Studio 54!

Bill Clinton is responsible for men's clubs and studio 54?
Men assaulting women is Bill Clinton's fault?

Usual republican response to avoid responsibilty: it's Bill,Hillary and Barack's fault

  5. These miserable, execrable, deplorable sex predators/perverts should be given the same conversion "therapy" they think is so effective for LGBTQ. They are the sickest of the sick, the most depraved of the depraved and the most deplorable of an overflowing basket of deplorables.

Many years ago, while I was in church immediately after worship service, one of these "religious men" began fondling himself as we stood talking ( and not surreptitiously either). Internally, I was frozen with horror and petrified, thinking if I do or say anything, it will reflect negatively on me. I ended the conversation quickly and left immediately. I have avoided that person ever since.

WTBS, these sickos must be identified and normal men must stand up for women, believe women, and punish these reprobates according to their crimes.

In my youth, women were so used to men and their verbal & bum-grabbing harassments we just laughed (later) at comments like this one, that happened to me -- "I'm gonna rape you, but first you gotta make me hard."

There isn't a woman my age that wasn't, at some point in her young life, sexually molested to some degree or an attempt made. We didn't think there was any other way. Like old Sarah P. said, "Boys being boys."

Not that I'm not condoning abuse or rape or harassment! I love that young women today are so confident and strong to not put up with that bullshit.

Things have changed; the pendulum has swung so far to the other side these days that I'm surprised a man dares even flirt.

But men are still afraid of being laughed at by women and women are still afraid of being killed by men.
Wouldn't be surprised to learn the stats on laughing at a man gets the woman killed, right then and there.

It is healthy and good to clear the air. Draining the swamp is working. But! Let us not forget that abuse, assault, and sex crimes against women men and children happen at all income levels. It is not about wealthy powerful men arranging auditions. Income poor women, men and children face very dangerous income poor liddle men abusers. There are very few avenues or monies to fight against rape, abuse and assault. And when you have abusers and bullies in charge of the very agencies of enforcement? well welcome to the reality show of the silent victims at all levels. There are few ladders to climb up and out of that reality abuse show. Bringing attention and awareness to this human abuse crime will help those in the future raise their children with compassion, humanity and empathy for all humans and living creatures. A baby is not born a bully or abuser. It starts at home. If there is one.

Unfortunately predators, abusers, scumbags are all religions, all political parties, etc. - we have to clean house - even when it is someone we previously had respect for or even admired.

It never surprises "who" ends up being outed - they are every where - in the most trusted of positions (even family - many many many many families - I am always deeply saddened but never surprised - women need to rise up and men need to step up - to end the centuries of silence and abuse. Will it completely solve the problem no - of course not - a predator is a predator - but WE can come together can keep their damage to a minimum instead of letting have free reign in the shadows to destroy 100000s of lives.

Frank Schaeffer>“Think about the Republican Party NOW,” he continued as his voice rose. “Throw some words out that are associated with them: mass shootings, Milo, Trump, Moore, Bannon, rape, child molesting, neo-Nazis, white supremacy. What the hell is going on with the Republican Party?”"Roy Moore. he’s a loud mouth, a gun-toting fool,” he exclaimed. “What I’m shocked by is the complicity. We are in a political climate that’s built on one lie after another. I just want to say for the record, by the way, I believe a woman who stands up, which is very difficult to do and comes forward with a story like that. She was a Trump voter. She’s a Republican.”

  14. Last year I spent three weeks in Italy, mostly traveling alone.

Not ONCE was my ass grabbed or pinched.

On the few occasions I needed directions, the men I asked were courteous and polite.

But then, as a nation, the U.S. has never been as adult as the other, longer established societies. Just look at our gun situation. If that doesn't do it, then look at healthcare. It's a wonder the U.S. is allowed in "polite society" when the other nations get together. Trump wants out of the Paris accord? He's lucky he was invited at all.

Some predators were victims themselves. Many will state that they were sexually abused or assaulted and in return sexually abused or assaulted someone out of anger. Some deranged predators will justify saying that they survived it.
