Okay I might even buy an issue with this cover.

I have not bought a Time Magazine in many, many years.

But if they had the guts to publish this one I would not only buy it but frame it, and hang it where everybody could see it in my house.

Since the Koch Bros. just helped a new buyer acquire Time Magazine, he'll probably get his wish. Hopefully it'll be all about his disgraceful time in office being cut short by his impeachment and conviction for everything he's done or tried to do.

Brooks"ignoreD overwhelming evidence showing the central role racial politics played in the Republican Party’s rise to power after the civil rights
      movement."
      Workman was >“journalistic Goldwater Republican.”
political ally in William F. Buckley Jr., conservative editor of a new journal, National Review. In 1957, Buckley delivered the magazine’s most forthright overture to southern segregationists. In an editorial on black voting rights, Buckley called whites
“the advanced race” in the South and said whites, therefore, should be allowed to “take such measures as necessary to prevail, politically and culturally, in areas in which it does not predominate numerically.” In Buckley’s view, “the claims of civilization supersede those of universal suffrage.”

". In his 1960 book, “The Case for the South,” Workman wrote that African-Americans remained “a white man’s burden” – a “violent” and “indolent” people who needed guidance from their white superiors." William Loeb, editor of New Hampshire’s Manchester Union-Leader, who told Workman the GOP should become “the white man’s party.” Loeb said his proposal would “leave Democrats with the Negro vote,” but give the Republicans the white vote and “white people, thank God, are still in the majority.”
"In a 1981 interview with political scientist Alexander Lamis, Atwater explained the evolution of coded racial language in political campaigns in the South.
“You start out in 1954 by saying, ‘nigger, nigger, nigger.’ By 1968 you can’t say ‘nigger’ – that hurts you, backfires,” Atwater said. “So you say stuff like forced busing, states’ rights, and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites…” ‘great white switch’! If TIME changed their "Person of the Year" to "Traitor" or "Sexual Predator" or "Racist" or "Most Vengeful" or "Whiner" or "Victim" or "Illiterate" or ... etc. etc., he could not refuse. And other mags would be lined up to feature him.

MSNBC’s Joe and Mika: Trump going ‘out of his mind’ because media won’t ‘kiss his a**’

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski agreed President Donald Trump seems to be losing his mind because the media won’t lie for him.

Brzezinski read aloud a couple of the president’s tweets, where he again singled out CNN for criticism and retweeted a bizarre conspiracy theory account that praised him.

“You know what? I’m sorry — this is where somebody on the set needs to say, Wow, that person seems unhinged, imbalanced and not fit to be president,” Brzezinski said. “He really seems out of his mind.”

Her “Morning Joe” co-host said the president’s attacks endangered American reporters working in countries like Russia and Turkey, whose leaders once feared retaliation for jailing U.S. journalists.

“That message hasn’t been sent by an administration that doesn’t even have ambassadors in these outposts and has now sent a message to tyrants from Turkey to Russia — do what you want with our reporters because we don’t like them,” Scarborough said. “We don’t believe them because they won’t kiss our ass every day on the air and spew propaganda 24 hours a day, and lie to our viewers about how they’re doing.”

“It’s now a stretch to say he’s fit,” Brzezinski said.

Should we be worried about Trump’s brain? A historian offers some perspective

...This issue of the perceived mental instability of Donald Trump leads us to explore the issue of past mental instability of our chief executives. It is clear that a large number of our past Presidents had mental issues that affected their performance in office, although none on the level of the potential danger of Donald Trump. It is a dangerous game to try to gauge whether past Presidents with mental problems might have affected the nation’s security and safety. But psychiatrists and psychologists have over the years weighed in on this matter nevertheless.

The Republican Tax Cut For The Rich Is Careening Toward Collapse In The Senate

...Republicans need to swing more than a vote or two to pass the bill. There are at least six Senators voicing public concerns, and it is impossible for leadership to appease them all, and stay within the limits that make it possible to use reconciliation. On top of the tax cut bill, Republicans also have to avoid a government shutdown before December 8, and there is a showdown coming on the Dreamers.

If two Republicans vote against the tax cut bill, it will be dead, and Republicans have enough internal division to kill it in the blink of an eye. Trump and Paul Ryan continue to express misplaced confidence in the eventual passage of the legislation. The bill is a lot closer to death than any Republican wants to admit, which is why it is important for those who are opposed to the GOP tax cut scam to call their Senator and make their feelings known.

...The Republicans have no agenda, and it turns out that Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell aren’t the policymaking geniuses they thought they were. During the campaign, Republicans promised that they would guide Trump through the policymaking process. They told the country not to worry that Trump knows nothing. Republicans in Congress thought that they would set the agenda, and Trump would be their rubber stamp.

The reality has been that the same dysfunction that crippled congressional Republicans during the Obama years has grown tenfold. The House and Senate are paralyzed by their own infighting, and Trump’s bomb-throwing against his own Congress.

  19. Better buy a copy quick before the Koch's pull Time's teeth. After they take over, Trump may be on the cover every month.

"Time Inc., the publisher of the magazines Time, People and Sports Illustrated, will sell itself to the Meredith Corporation in a deal worth $2.8 billion, the companies said on Sunday. Meredith will pay $18.50 a share for the legacy media giant.

The sale, which will close in the beginning of next year, was unanimously approved by the boards of both companies.

The deal is backed by $650 million in financing from Koch Equity Development, the private equity group owned by billionaire brothers and conservative mega-donors Charles and David Koch."

Well, there you have it. PEOPLE magazine. And of course there is that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Boy, what a cherry to use to manipulate Trump. Time, People and Sports Illustrated.

And you know he only looks at the covers. Well, except maybe the swimsuit issue.

"Des Moines-based Meredith owns several popular magazines already, including Better Homes & Gardens, Shape and Parents, and says it reaches up to 110 million women a month through its various platforms."

    Uh oh.

"Meredith said in a news release the Koch brothers’ investment group “will have no influence on Meredith’s editorial or managerial operations” and said its “non-controlling” cash injection “underscores a strong belief in Meredith’s strength as a business operator.”"

Yeah, right. Anyone else believe the Koch brothers are going to keep their noses out of influencing TIME? Thought so.

"Co-founder and publisher Jann Wenner announced his intention to sell his magazine Rolling Stone in September."

    Oh, no.

And now Keith Olbermann has said #147 of The Resistance for GQ is his last one and he's ceasing his political commentary.

    Just FUCK.
