It is finally official, Roy Moore will NOT be the newly elected Senator from Alabama.

Courtesy of the Washington Examiner:

After coming up short on Election Day, Judge Roy Moore urged his supporters to keep the faith. Praying for a recount, the Republican reminded his supporters that “God is in control.” But either the Almighty just didn’t hear or the divine decided to vote Democrat in Alabama for the first in more than two decades.

The Alabama secretary of state’s office just announced that it has received 5,333 overseas and provision ballots well below the number needed to trigger a recount, let alone overcome the 20,715-vote lead of Democrat Doug Jones. It is now numerically impossible for Moore to win.

Candidates must come within 0.5 percent or less to trigger a recount according to state law, and currently, Jones is ahead of Moore by 1.5 points.

Hoping that the candidate’s Army service would play well with troops stationed overseas, the Moore campaign pinned its fate to military absentee votes. “A lot of votes are in, but they’re not all in yet,” said campaign chairman Bill Armistead. “There’s a law in Alabama that requires a recount if the vote is one half of 1 percent.”

That optimism was swiftly dashed Wednesday when the secretary of state announced that just 4,967 provisional ballots had been received and declared that “no additional ballots are eligible to be received.” Those results could be certified as early as the day after Christmas.

You know the funny part is that everybody else had already moved on and Doug Jones was all but sworn in, which left old Roy Moore stomping his feet and cussing into the wind about how unfair it all was essentially almost all by his lonesome.

Of course that did not stop Moore from continuing to fleece the morons.
Well, what can you say?

He is definitely a Republican.

Roy Moore doesn't read too well; the Alabama rules about recounts don't count for Federal election. Look it up, Roy.

It's always funny how "god is in control" right up until they don't like the result. Kinda like when Palin said the night before the 2008 election that she "had faith god would choose the best leader for America" and when it turned out to be Obama, she IMMEDIATELY set off to attack, discredit and delegitimize him.

    "Christians" lol

Right! As far as I'm concerned, on election night, Roy's god decided that Doug Jones was the best candidate.

This is why I think elections should have unpaid volunteer staff, and a set public paid budget (no dark money payoffs), and you cannot declare candidacy until the year off the election.

Also need term limits and none of this pension for the rest of their lives bullshit.

DEMAND numbered paper ballots. And chain of custody from print to certification. No electronic count, count by hand. Its the only way. Roy will have more time to be a cowboy and ride his horse.

    1. They can’t do numbered ballots. Then they are not anonymous.

Look at how the Trump family screwed up their absentee ballots. Not one of them was valid. Donald, Melania and Ivanka all messed theirs up. Jared didn’t even mail his back.

    2. It’s frightening enough that we are one death away from Trump and the Republicans owning the Supreme Court.

But Trump is busy stacking the Federal Appeals courts with his unqualified Deplorables. *THAT* is the court that really makes the laws. And they’ll be doing it for the next 30 years. Life time appointments.

105 power brokers who have been accused of sexual misconduct since Bill O'Reilly was forced out at Fox News...

More and more people have come forward publicly in recent months with stories like these, of high-ranking men who abuse their power to sexually harass and intimidate others. This kind of abuse is far from new, but in 2017, more and more of these men actually started facing consequences.

The first to get widespread attention this year was Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, who was forced to resign in April. The moment of reckoning kicked into high gear in October, when women — now numbering more than 80 — began coming forward to report harassment and assault by film producer Harvey Weinstein.

Vox has compiled — and will continue to update — a running list of influential people from a variety of industries who have had new public accusations of sexual misconduct since O’Reilly earlier this year. Click to view the accused in the following fields:

  9. Roy Moore thought he could count on the military vote since he served in the military!

Roy Moore was the commanding officer of a Military Police unit in Vietnam. He was so hated by the men in his company that he slept on sand bags since he feared that he would ne fragged (i.e. killed by his own men) He admitted to this many years ago.

    GOOD to Hear this>
"“I wasn’t really talking about moving on from those allegations,” Jones said, walking back those earlier remarks. “I think, Seth, anybody that followed my campaign knows that I have consistently had women’s empowerment issues at the forefront of my campaign. And especially after these allegations—not only with the president, but with others across the country and Roy Moore, I think we’ve truly reached a tipping point, a kind of a crossroads in this country, where women who have been abused and felt abused can now stand up, speak out. That is what I have been for all along.” I don’t think that those issues and those women who have made those allegations aren’t important. They are. They need to stand up, they need to speak out, and everybody needs to pay attention to them.”"
