London borough passes a motion saying that Donald Trump is simply not welcome in their area of the city.

Donald Trump is not welcome here.
Courtesy of The Independent:

A London council has called on the Government to revoke its state visit invitation to the “bigoted” US President after he shared messages from a far-right group.

A motion passed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich vowed that Donald Trump “would not be welcome” in the area if the engagement goes ahead.

Councillors said they were alarmed by Donald Trump’s decision to retweet Islamophobic posts by Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of Britain First.“

Council further notes with sadness the President’s bigoted attitude towards women and ethnic minorities which has resulted in examples of division and hatred within the US,” it continued.

“As such, Council calls upon the Government to abandon plans to invite Donald Trump on a state visit to the UK.”

Councillors said the huge security costs of the trip should be paid instead to charities that “promote peace and understanding”, such as the Jo Cox Foundation.

There's Donald Trump "Making America Great Again."

I swear this is like the rest of the world's reaction to George W. Bush's stupidity and warmongering, only on steroids.

I wish you would post more articles like this instead of Palin bullshit and the nuts that it attracts. Off topic but it looks like John McCain may live to see Christmas this year while others with his same condition may not be so lucky or have access to the same healthcare that he does.

I don't see North Korea being any more worse than America under the leadership of Trump and the guy in Korea! Both are as evil as sin and could care less about the people they govern.

FB Excerpts:"I grant you the news is grim. If it seems like the norms of our democratic society are under attack (witness the undermining of the Mueller investigation), it is because they are."The act of service is rooted in the purest of our democratic impulses... That is the benefit of service: It tends to humanize you. People can disagree politically and philosophically on all the issues that confront our nation, but if more of our elected officials had served in causes other than their own advancement, I believe they would approach their jobs with less certainty in their own assumptions and more sympathy for the needs of others."I know these are perilous times. There are too many people who think business is the linchpin to a civil society and the chamber of commerce the springboard to a political career. Businesses only are concerned with their bottom line. There is no morality or ethos in a business plan.

(THREAD) There's now a rumor in Congress that Trump plans to fire Special Counsel Mueller on December 22. If this happens, it will trigger a constitutional crisis. This thread explains what's happening and what to do—please read and share it widely.

    This is an actual emergency.

"1/ Trump cannot legally fire Bob Mueller. First, because that authority resides exclusively with Acting Attorney General Rosenstein; second, because even as head of the Executive Branch, Trump cannot exert his power for a criminal purpose. Firing Bob Mueller would be Obstruction."
2/ Mueller has seen all the evidence against Trump and his associates; the public has seen only a fraction of it. I can say—as a former criminal attorney and investigator researching this case since 2016—no exculpatory evidence has been found. All evidence points toward guilt."
3/ Further confirmation of this is that we don't hear from the media or Congressional Republicans any evidence—even claims—that Trump and his associates are innocent. We hear nothing but scurrilous attacks against the investigators. This is what people who know they're caught do."

      Delete
    2. Anonymous9:04 AM

13/ Trump is guilty of everything people believe him guilty of; all the evidence establishes it. So we must predict his actions with that in mind.

NOTE3/ There's substantiation of this DC rumor in two stories: a report saying Trump is willing to give Mueller until "the end of the year"; a report saying Trump's lawyers about about to meet with Mueller. It suggests if the meeting doesn't result in exoneration, Trump will act.

    Settle in, politikids.

    You're going to enjoy this...

I've read the full letter Trump transition team attorneys sent to legislators re: Mueller obtaining their emails.

    It has a delicious reveal.

    1/

...So, Trump appointed Backler and then Backler went and ensured Trump transition team attorneys that he would not allow his org (the GSA) to provide any of their emails to investigators.

One problem: Backler fell ill and ultimately passed away.

    6/

So, until Mueller's crew started asking Trump aides about those emails, they had absolutely no idea Mueller had them because they thought Trump's guy on the inside was running interference for them.

    Let that one sink in.

Trump and his flunkies thought their friend at the GSA had locked their emails away *literally* in a vault no one could get to...

They thought their bodies were all buried.

As a result, Trump's people walked into their interviews with Mueller and team with a completely false sense of confidence that he didn't know what he already knew in spades.

They thought he was fishing. He was just reeling fish in.

Can you imagine the freakout that must have occurred in Trumpland when they realized their cleanup guy hadn't actually done the cleanup after all?

Alllllllll of the things they thought they had buried were not only not buried; Mueller had them in writing!

...Trump appointed a Giuliani guy to protect him from Mueller...

...and then the guy went and died just as Mueller was coming a'calling.

Trump must be losing his freaking mind...

    ...even more panicked: Jared Kushner.

Mueller is gonna roast them all.

The Trump Organization sees fortunes fall
Why the firm saw itself drop on our list of the largest privately held companies

...Yet the city’s best-known landlord is missing out. Not only are the Trump Organization’s plans to develop a hotel here going nowhere, but prices are slumping for condos at Trump Tower and the Trump International Hotel and Tower.

And golfers are shunning the Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in the Bronx, where revenue through mid-September had fallen by more than $1.1 million in the past two years, to $5.7 million, amid a 16% drop in rounds played.

In addition, the Trump Organization, a perennial leader on the Crain’s list of largest privately held companies, has fallen steeply in the rankings, to No. 40 from No. 3 last year, following the president’s disclosures to federal regulators that revealed the organization’s revenue is less than a 10th of what the firm had reported since at least 2010.

Politics partly explain why the Trump Organization has gone quiet in its hometown, where 80% of voters supported Hillary Clinton in last year’s presidential election.

But there are also business reasons.

According to @BuzzFeedNews, the Trump transition agreed there would be no expectation of privacy as to emails sent via government servers. Accordingly, the government agency (TSA) produced the emails to Mueller without a warrant. If true, not an issue.

  18. More will follow. Pretty soon the entire city of London will be on record. Then it will spread.

If they want to avoid huge protests and a nightmare security scenario, they need to quietly shut this visit down. Wait until May is gone, then say it has to be re-authorized and then it fails or something. May overstepped her authority to make the invitation. It did not go through proper channels. There will be a new government installed next go around.

Of course, Trump may not even be in office by the time any visit gets to the planning stages.

They won't like Pence any more than Trump but at least he's an adult that knows how to act in public.
