Michael Wolff's new book also reveals how Donald Trump tries to trick the wives of his friends into sleeping with him.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Donald Trump had an intricate plan of deception to bed the wives of his friends, according to yet another bombshell revelation from Michael Wolff’s new book Fire and Fury.

MSNBC obtained a copy of the book and NBC News’ former embedded reporter with the Trump campaign, Katy Tur, tweeted a highlighted section.

“Trump liked to say that one of the things that made life worth living was getting your friends’ wives into bed,” the starred paragraph begins.

“In pursuing a friend’s wife, he would try to persuade the wife that her husband was perhaps not what she thought. Then he’d have his secretary ask the friend into his office; once the friend arrived, Trump would engage in what was, for him, more or less constant sexual banter. Do you still like having sex with your wife? How often? You must have had a better f*ck than your wife? Tell me about it. I have girls coming in from Los Angeles at three o’clock. We can go upstairs and have a great time. I promise … And all the while, Trump would have his friend’s wife on the speakerphone, listening in,” the book reported.

Congratulations Republicans this is now the leader of your party.

      you like fiction?

"The author of the explosive new book about Donald Trump's presidency acknowledged in the book that he wasn't certain all of its content was true.

Michael Wolff, the author of "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House," included a note at the start that casts significant doubt on the reliability of the specifics contained in the rest of its pages.

Several of his sources, he says, were definitely lying to him, while some offered accounts that flatly contradicted those of others.

But some were nonetheless included in the vivid account of the West Wing's workings, in a process Wolff describes as "allowing the reader to judge" whether the sources' claims are true."

it is already falling apart. but get bit on the shelves as soon as possible for the suckers.

8:01, Did I say ONE thing about whether or not I felt it was accurate? No, I didn't. I said I wanted to see the numbers.

It is starting to pick up in most the news, so I'll just let you find it. But if you actually read the comment, you would note that the author admits to it in the start. So.... kind of quoting the actual author of the book...

Self-defeating in what way? I simply contradicted what 8:01 implied about my original comment. I said I wanted to see the numbers on the book's first day. He(she?) went into a spiel implying that I had fallen for the author's information and that I was being taken in. I merely re-stated what I had originally said and that is that I wanted to see the book's numbers.
In what way is that self-defeating?

      @6:57.

If I am right, the only hope is the 2018 mid-term elections. We have to work harder and get more Democrats out to vote and get control of Congress as the repubes have now, but complete control of the Senate as well. Then THEY can do what the current party won't do. And we must do it in BOTH sides of Congress.

I think if we can make him basically a lame duck, he will TOTALLY loose his mind and the 25th can be used.

At least it's a legal way to do things. I will NOT support anything remotely violent.

It was reported on the news that an example of an “untruth” in the Wolf Book was Trump not knowing who Boehner was - that Trump had golfed with him several times and of course he knew who he was. The first thought that popped into my head was “he has Alzheimer’s” and forgot he knew John Boehner Forgetting who people are is a sign of Alzheimer’s, isn’t it?

Saw an interesting theory put forth last night: Trump is both hard of hearing and has vision issues, but is too vain to wear glasses or hearing aids. The writer suggested that these two facts, coupled with Trump’s bad memory and penchant for stupid nicknames could be contributing factors in his “forgetting” John Boehner: Trump probably thought his name was pronounced “Boner” rather than “Bayner”. Add to that the fact that Trump is arrogant, self-absorbed, and has the attention span of a distracted gnat - why would he remember some loser he played golf with years ago?

    UPDATE?

'Fire and Fury' author Wolff calls Trump least credible person who has ever walked on earth

Michael Wolff, the author of a new book that gives a behind-the-scenes account of the White House, defended his work Friday, insisting he spoke with President Donald Trump on the record and calling the commander in chief "a man who has less credibility than, perhaps, anyone who has ever walked on earth."

I can’t get farther than hypothesizing that Trump is sadistic seeking to hurt a wife who rejected having sex with him and wreck a marriage by setting up a “friend” and their spouse. Or did he seek retaliation motivated sex by a spurned spouse after orchestrating humiliation. There is an FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit for pathological personalities like Trump. It is obvious Trump is a sick and twisted being impersonating a human.

The Trump presidency is the stuff nightmares are made of. The writing was on the wall which is a sad commentary about citizens voting him into office, elected leaders having his back and our country in general.

I believe reports that Trump is semiliterate. When he reads a prepared speech he sounds like a child who has just learned to read.

Bannon worked to keep ‘fallback guy’ Pence away from ‘wrong meetings’ on Russia inside White House: Wolff

...Specifically, Bannon worried about Pence taking meetings with Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner and First Daughter Ivanka Trump, whom he’d decided were, in Wolff’s words, “Russia toxic.”

...“Bannon observed a hapless Pence in a lot of ‘wrong meetings,’ and helped to bring in the Republican operative Nick Ayers as Pence’s chief of staff, and to get ‘our fallback guy’ out of the White House and ‘running around the world and looking like a vice president,'” writes Wolff.

‘Unfit on every level to be president’: Former Bush adviser describes ‘contempt’ White House staffers have for Trump

...“I think what’s going to happen is Bob Mueller is going to reveal more data points and begin to connect them,” he continued. “You know, you take a step back and this is all of a piece when it comes to Donald Trump. He’s a person who’s narcissistic and has no moral center, no moral core, and everything in his life seems to be geared around advancing his interests, protecting him, meeting his own appetites in all sorts of different ways.”

“He demands a kind of loyalty of people which is inappropriate within a White House and, of course, he doesn’t give loyalty back to anybody else,” he bluntly stated. “This is a man who is unfit on every level to be president. What’s happening now in this book, and so many other things, is the curtain is being pulled back. If you talk to leaders, Republican leaders, on the Hill as I have, or to people who work in the White House as friends of mine have, these portraits of Donald Trump and all of these elements? This is nothing new.”

“It is the people who work most closely with Donald Trump that I think have the deepest contempt and the deepest worry about him,” he concluded.

Classic whistling by the graveyard comment. Trump seems to think he can bluff and talk his way out of this. To date, I have seen nothing in any legitimate media forum to suggest that Mueller has finished his investigation and issued a report. Yet Trump is babbling on nonsensically as though he has and has exonerated him. Its not going to work. For the first time in his life Trump is faced with a legal situation he cannot control with threats and bullying.

It was at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Not the new one, but the fabulous old art deco building on Jefferson Avenue, designed by Roger Allen and built by the WPA back in the 1940s. I don’t know how old I was, not very. Five, six maybe. We’d gone on a field trip from school, dozens of screaming First Graders having a wonderful adventure under the bones of the museum’s famous blue whale skeleton in the main gallery. There were other schools there, of course, including at least one black one. Those children were as strange and alien to me as the exhibits. But like us, they were all running to and fro, as the teachers tried desperately to corral us all into our proper groups for return to the buses and our boring old lives back in the suburbs. As I dodged around a display, a huge hand suddenly grasped me by the shoulder and pulled me up short and I looked up startled to see a black man on the other end of that arm. He wasn’t looking at me, he was just grabbing children, trying to gather up his own flock no doubt and I’d gotten snagged by accident.

He had several other children, dark skinned with wide white eyes staring at me, the alien now. He held them by the collars with his other hand and he was shouting to for the rest of the class.

    He glanced down …

… and his hand opened in shock, releasing me.

It’s been a long, long time, fifty years or near enough, but I can still remember the look on his face.

    He was afraid.

Twenty years later I was an officer, with a wife and son and a college degree, the experience of having led men and women in war, and having served with and for men, women, black and white, gay and straight, and with a much, much broader understanding of the world and the people in it. Having walked the soil of six continents, having seen oppression and hate and bigotry and injustice in every corner of the globe – most at the hands of men who looked just like me."I retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. You tend to get only the shittiest of missions, but it’s because those are the jobs only someone like you can do. That’s what they pay you for. The rank commands enormous respect. Uniquely so. And only a small handful ever pin on those bars."
"Somehow, I became a successful writer.

"I am successful. A hell of a lot more successful than most. A quarter of a million people read me damned near every day across multiple platforms.""Why did this new medium, this new publishing model, allow me to jump over writers who’ve been busting their collective asses since before I was born? That’s a privilege I bet you didn’t see coming, but I think about it nearly every day.

    Why?

    I don’t honestly know.

But you have to wonder if I would have been this successful if I’d been black. Or gay. Or female. Or less than able-bodied. Or less privileged in some way."
"I’m at an age where men become dignified, and women get discarded for a younger model."

" I volunteer just the same.

Unfortunately, none of this is illegal and Trump can’t be impeached for any of it. And he has no shame about it really. He’s denying it for other reasons that really aren’t going to help him.

I think this is a huge first assault towards making sure Trump is never re-elected.

  33. Wolff and the publisher released the book today BECAUSE of Trump's lawyer's cease and desist order. Big fat FU to 45.

Last night there were lines at a D.C. bookstore open until 1am and they sold out shortly after midnight.

Amazon has the kindle version available for immediate download.

Five stars and 89% at the top. The few poor little Trumpsters can't post their negatives enough to sway the ratings. Many of them say "I bought it because Trump didn't want me to" or "I bought it because no one tells me what I can and can't read." or simply "No one censors my First Amendment rights."

Yeah, this book is going to be a best seller now and for quite some time.

    Poor Dullard Donnie the Dotard.

If anything could kill him, this should. But Mueller should keep plodding on, if for no other reason that for all of the proof that will be needed to go into the posthumous book about how the Death Party conspired with Putin to put an immature toddler with Dementia in the Oval Office.

Man, Wolff and the publisher are going to make a fortune. I'll bet they have already been contacted for movie rights. No wonder they released it now. You can't buy this kind of publicity.

(THREAD) I'm doing a live reading of FIRE AND FURY in this thread, offering some analysis of just a few short passages that seem of importance to the Trump-Russia investigation specifically or the Trump presidency generally.

I hope you'll follow along and share with others.
