Creationist Ken Ham does not think that Bill Nye's show about real facts is appropriate for children. Because you know superstitious fairy tales are so much more palatable.

Courtesy of Science AF:

Creationist Ken Ham loves to challenge Bill Nye on every scientific issue under the sun, and the release of Bill Nye Saves the World season two was too great an opportunity to miss.

In a blog post for his website Answers in Genesis, the famous creationist accused the Science Guy's new show of being "inappropriate" for children.

"Bill Nye is not kid friendly at all (this new show is geared toward millennials), and both seasons of this show's content (which pushes a secular view of origins and morality) are certainly not appropriate for children," Ham wrote, proposing that the show should really be called "Bill Nye Needs to be Saved."

"He is definitely not Bill Nye the kid-friendly guy! Beware!"

Apparently, the promotion of basic scientific facts is now considered inappropriate.

Apparently Ham is upset about Nye's descriptive language when discussing STD's and superbugs, and argues that his show is too secular in nature.

Does Ham not realize that science by its very nature is "secular?"

No, I guess he wouldn't.

So in Ken Ham's version of educating children you simply fill their head with superstitious nonsense and then threaten them with eternal torment if they refuse to believe you, and Bill Nye's approach is to present actual fact based information in a fun and entertaining manner.

Got it.

If you keep the young ignorant and living in fear you garner a future base of malleable voters who will vote for any bozo spouting hatred and faux patriotic rhetoric. These bible zealots do not want informed and educated citizens who will vote using their intellect.

I played in a church one time where the female pastor admonished the flock that if they didn't have the kids all in line by age 18, the church would die. The Brethren Church I attend consists of 6 people 80 plus, 2 70's, 8 in their 60's, and one immigrant family that contributes no money, but keeps bringing family members here and the babies. My kids don't attend, nor the grandkids. We recently hired a part time pastor after 17 years of 'free ministry' but we are still dying. And I am seriously considering leaving and not finding another church. I am so disillusioned with the RW nuts, Trump, and the absolute evil I see...God is ignoring us or not there at all.

You can worship God without the middle man. Go sit on a bench in the park and watch nature and people at their best. The little things will be where your' high power will be found, not the flashy, money making places.

'“If true, these allegations violate the core values of the HPD,” Honolulu Police Chief Susan Ballard told reporters in a news conference on Friday. “Our officers are sworn to uphold the rights of all persons. Personally, I am appalled at the behavior, if it is true, appropriate action will be taken.” "The news comes as the Honolulu Police Department is working to earn back the public’s trust in the wake of indictments of its former police chief and several former police officers as part of a huge corruption investigation."

I learned a lot from Bill Nye the science guy.
I learned bigotry from the church people. They are as elite as one can get.
Most pastors that I know molested women and children in their church. What is that?

    1. I learned that church people are leeches that will suck you dry.

You never "tithe" enough money. Even if you give 10% of your earnings (before taxes even) they still ask for more.

You never give enough of your time.

You sing in the choir? How about teaching Sunday school. Do that and it's volunteering for more. They can suck up all of your time and still call you to do more.

Then there is the fake friendship. Every service you have to stop and hug and shake hands with all the people around you. It's to encourage friendship. Friendship doesn't work that way. You can't be fake friends with people you only see, and I mean see, not interact with, for a few minutes a week.

In fact the entire concept of "friends" has become warped and twisted. What we usually refer to as "friends" are really acquaintances. They are people we have a passing cordial exposure to but no real connection deep enough to last for years or a lifetime. I have few true friends for this reason. I have plenty of acquaintances but very few actual friends. Never had any friends or even acquaintances from church. Mine were from school and my job and still are.

I stopped going to church about 20 years ago and can't say I miss anything.

And I didn't suddenly become a "sinner" or "bad person" once I stopped going to church. Church didn't make me a better person and it's absence didn't make me worse. In fact, I'm actually more charitable now because no one is shaming me or forcing me to give so that I resent giving. I think that is the real damage of organized religion. That it fosters resentment for doing the very things it encourages.

  10. Of course Ham knows that science by it's very nature is secular.

That is his entire problem with science.

Dear God, please step it up with the "rapture" already so the earth will be cleansed of these fucking religious wackos and the rest of us can move on with our lives and work on repairing the damage these assholes have done in your name. Amen.
