If we don't stop criticizing Donald Trump the NRA is going to destroy their TV sets. Or something like that.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

The NRA really doesn’t like it when people don’t show enough respect to President Donald Trump.

A new spot from the gun lobbyists features an angry guy stewing as a TV shows clips of the media criticizing Trump and the National Rifle Association. Some of the clips are of comedy shows, including “Saturday Night Live” and “Last Week Tonight With John Oliver.”

Eventually he lowers a set of goggles and destroys the TV set with a sledgehammer in a tantrum as it displays a “Morning Joe” segment.

The angry guy in the video is right-wing radio host Grant Stinchfield, who made headlines last year when he suggested that North Korea drop a nuclear bomb on Sacramento, California.

I literally have no idea what we are supposed to take away from this advertisement.

Except for the fact that NRA members are destructive assholes who have anger issues.

Which by the way just adds to my list of why they should not be allowed to own firearms.

And yet because of tantrums like this we saw 17 people killed yesterday in a school shooting.

We need to start throwing tantrums of our own.

I guess the NRA's idea is to inspire their "loyalists" to get out their with their super weapons and start killing anyone who looks like a liberal.

Shouldn't they feature a man's man like Ted Cruz shooting up a TV set with an assault rifle?

“Our” collective voices need to drowned out the NRA and the 2nd Ammendment nuts. Jimmy Kimmel’s writer is doing a good job. She’s tweeting out how much GOP politicians got from the NRA every time they tweet out their banal “thoughts and prayers”.

  5. So as you can probably tell I am still unable to approve comments.

I apologize for the inconvenience and have no idea how much longer this will go on.

Blogger has been very temperamental lately.

I am hoping to move to a different platform soon.

Keep checking back as this could clear up at any time.

  6. I'm not a "fire with fire" person, myself. Mockery, now that's the mechanism. Mark Twain said that. Or Abe Lincoln. Or was it Bob Dylan?

I shake my head back and forth, I cry for hope that this changes today. I don't understand how this behavior and anger has spread this far. The bad guys have a platform today. Lets change that!!!. We cannot just turn off the tv or change the channel. We must demand that this guy gets arrested and removed from our society today. And he is not alone. Those like him must be removed also. It is mandatory that we fight each minute of everyday to put a stop to this dangerous hateful type of human. To him I say "your time is over" trump will not succeed nor escape prosecution to the fullest nor will those that have enabled him. Reverse Citizen United, hold the NRA responsible for the deaths. Remove all assault weapons from the USA except in war defense and hold ALL elected or appointed servants accountable for their vote. #impeachdonaldjohntrumptoday

Right on cue, thoughts and prayers are being sent out to the latest victims of another school shooting. We are being told, once again, that this is not the time to be talking about gun control. And so it goes...on and on.

  16. Why is it we can ban over the counter cold medications but not ammunition?

Suddenly the cold medications are locked up and you have to ask and show ID and jump through all sorts of hoops to get them because of the meth cooking.

But not only can you buy an assault weapon you can also buy bump stocks that turn it into an automatic weapon, high capacity magazines and all of the armor piercing ammunition you want.

    WHAT. THE. FUCK.

These people aren't hunters. And they're not responsible either.

They are insurgents. They are mercenaries. They are rebels planning on making war on their own government. Why else do they need to equip themselves for a civil WAR?

No private citizen needs an arsenal whose soul purpose is to kill as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time.

Plenty of mature, adult societies restrict their citizens to owning firearms that are clearly for their intended purpose: hunting and protecting farm animals.

No one needs military grade weapons and very, very few need a handgun. Aside from police/sheriff/reserves the only person I have ever met that could make a case for having an UNCONCEALED handgun was the owner of a jewelry store who did custom work and had a lot of jewelry and gemstones on his property. The place was a fortress and you had to be buzzed in twice. Once the front door and once the entry door. You had to be buzzed out too. He carried a holster on his hip and made no secret of it. In his presence I felt safe. It was out in public I'm not so sure, now with every unbalanced Deplorable secretly carrying how many weapons just itching to prove how much bigger his penis is than the next guy.

This country needs to grow up. And the NRA needs to be disbanded as a domestic terrorist organization.

I read somewhere that only 1% of Americans belong to the NRA,so again the majority of Americans are being held hostage by a minority that belong to this terrorist group called the NRA.
