Under Donald Trump black unemployment goes back up. You kind of knew this was going to happen, didn't you?

Oh Donald Trump should never have said this.
Because obviously that shifted everybody's attention to black unemployment, which was all but guaranteed to go up with a racist in the White House.

So gee, what does Donald Trump have to say to Jay Z now?

He'll do what he always does. He will deny the accuracy of the statistics.

He'll probably say the blacks hate him so much that they won't take the jobs so that he looks bad.

I have no idea why there are physically capable people who remain unemployed. I’m not being callous. Almost Every restaurant chain is always hiring. Though what people don’t know is that eg McDonald’s fires people regularly for being lazy and irresposIble. They also give 20 chances before firing.

Did you ever consider that perhaps the jobs you are talking about aren't available where some people live?

    2. Perhaps because a scientist that used to work for the EPA or a lineman that used to work for ATT don’t want to flip burgers at McDonald’s for minimum wage.

People with families and a home can’t just relocate to where there might be a job. And with this “at will” crap, is it worth selling your house and relocating your family for a job that might only last a few months or years? Companys don’t fire people for being lazy or incompetent. Not often. It’s usually because they can get someone cheaper, lower wages, no benefits or they get rid of them before they start costing them money in health care or retirement/pension.

Why do you think there are so many in the 55-65 age range that are out of work? They were let go before they qualified for retirement because high school graduates and fresh out of college workers are cheap.

Don’t let those unemployment numbers fool you. They don’t list those that have simply given up looking for a job. They only count those that are still actively seeking work. In other words, they only show the desperation, not the resignation.

  4. Anybody wonder why Drumpf hates immigrants until he needs to petition the gubmint to allow him to sign some to work at Drumpf Dump South (Mar a Lago) because he can't pay enough to get wasicu wasteys to take those jobs.

If you actually look at the run down on the link, the unemployment went from 6.8 to 7.7% from Dec to Jan..... However, again if you look at the chart on the link and the decades shown, 7.7% is still among the lowest rates recorded in years.

Doesn't mean that Humpty Trumpty isn't lying again. The drop in unemployment is NOT due to his stupid ass. It's normally only the second year that an economy is connected to a new President's actions and programs.

Personally, I think that is why that uptick is there - and will continue to get worse.

    2. What it actually shows is that the economy has burned through the Obama legacy and we are now starting to run on Trumplandia. You’re going to see a lot of turn arounds that aren’t going to be pleasant.

      "Watergate break-in. More notable was the fact that Crisp suspected the culprits to be members of her own party." {MORE THEN 40 YEARS AGO}
" Phyllis Schlafly, the powerful, shrewd leader of STOP ERA" not NRA
Crisp was a pro-choice, Equal Rights Amendment advocate locked in conflict with the Reagan campaign and its supporters."
"striking, the opposition to Trump’s presidency—on the streets, on the ballot, and in the halls of Congress—has been dominated and defined by women. Women’s marches across the country bookended Trump’s first year in office, thousands of female candidates have jumped into electoral races at the local, state and federal level, and the #MeToo movement continues to rock politics and political culture just as it does other major institutions in American life."
"beginning with her public criticism of Reagan’s “idea of purism”
"Crisp would never shake her conviction that she had been tapped. Brock made it clear that he thought her suspicions were unwarranted. Members of Reagan’s camp were happy to go further, offering sexist mockery through a veil of anonymity. When a Washington Post reporter asked an unnamed Reagan aide why Crisp might suspect that she was being surveilled, he responded, “I have no way of judging the reaction of frustrated middle-aged women.”"The platform also included a sharpened antiabortion plank. Gone were the 1976 platform’s acknowledgment of party differences on the issue and call for “continuance of the public dialogue on abortion.” What was left was an endorsement of a constitutional ban and a call for the legislative prohibition of taxpayer-funded abortions." "he declared that the new ERA and abortion language would “bury the rights of over 100 million American women under a heap of platitudes.” She went on, “I cannot turn my back on these issues, and I feel compelled to do whatever is within my power to prevent these two tragedies from occurring.”"Reagan himself couched his combative response to Crisp’s July 1980 farewell remarks in the language of partisan loyalty: “Mary Crisp should look to herself and find out how loyal she’s been to the Republican Party for quite some time.”“Establishing purity tests for political views is contrary to the basic assumptions underlying our two-party system,” " never-Trump Republicans"
