Unlike ALL of his predecessors Donald Trump does not read the President's Daily Brief. He has it read aloud to him like a children's bedtime story.

Needs more pictures.
Courtesy of WaPo:

For much of the past year, President Trump has declined to participate in a practice followed by the past seven of his predecessors: He rarely if ever reads the President’s Daily Brief, a document that lays out the most pressing information collected by U.S. intelligence agencies from hot spots around the world.

Trump has opted to rely on an oral briefing of select intelligence issues in the Oval Office rather than getting the full written document delivered to review separately each day, according to three people familiar with his briefings.

Reading the traditionally dense intelligence book is not Trump’s preferred “style of learning,” according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

The arrangement underscores Trump’s impatience with exhaustive classified documents that go to the commander in chief — material that he has said he prefers condensed as much as possible. But by not reading the daily briefing, the president could hamper his ability to respond to crises in the most effective manner, intelligence experts warned.

Soon after Trump took office, analysts sought to tailor their intelligence sessions for a president with a famously short attention span, who is known for taking in much of his information from the conservative Fox News Channel. The oral briefings were augmented with photos, videos and graphics.

After several months, Trump made clear he was not interested in reviewing a personal copy of the written intelligence report known as the PDB, a highly classified summary prepared before dawn to provide the president with the best update on the world’s events, according to people with knowledge of the situation.

Administration officials defended Trump’s reliance on oral sessions and said he gets full intelligence briefings, noting that presidents have historically sought to receive the information in different ways.

You know I originally thought the whole "Toddler-in-Chief" meme was perhaps a little exaggerated, but it seems more and more fitting all of the time.

It was also reported that Trump really only prefers to get bad news or advice from Hope Hicks.

Apparently she is the "asshole whisperer" and he does not blow a gasket when she tells him things that he does not want to hear.

So here we have a commander-in-chief who cannot read complicated reports on his own, and cannot be told bad news unless a young attractive woman is the one telling him.

If this were the captain of a ship I would be urging everybody to rush for the lifeboats now.

The absolute worst Democratic candidate will be much better than the best Republican candidate 99 times out of 100. Bet on it! Furthermore, Trump would be considered a horrible Republican candidate by any person with the slightest bit of intelligence. And yet here we are. I no longer recognize this country.

Anyone who is on Trump's team is a racist. I saw that stupid Omarosa whispering on a show she's doing and I am appalled that anyone would give her the time of the day. There are rating whores out there. She did so much talking up Trump before the election it was disgusting. Now they are trying to let her back into the circle of trust? That's like NBC letting that Megyn Kelly on their show. It's nauseating. After all the damage those two women did when they were boosting the Reich.

Trump Uses FBI, Justice Department Officials To Block Democratic Memo Defending Them

A week after GOP released a pro-Trump surveillance memo without redactions, Democrats cried foul when Trump sent theirs back for edits.

Donald Trump is refusing to release a document prepared by the Democrats on the House intelligence committee intended to refute Trump-backed allegations of surveillance abuse in the investigation of his ties to the Kremlin.

Days after committee Republicans went public with accusations of surveillance abuse by senior Justice Department and FBI officials, the committee voted unanimously on Monday to declassify a rebuttal from its Democrats charging that committee chairman and White House ally Devin Nunes, the architect of the surveillance-abuse narrative, materially misrepresented those investigating Donald Trump to discredit them.

That vote gave Trump a deadline of Saturday to allow or block the memo’s release, and Democrats on the panel spent Friday not knowing how the White House would treat a document that undermined a GOP narrative that Trump used to claim vindication in his year-long insistence that he is the victim of a conspiracy to undermine his presidency from within.

As his White House has become engulfed in controversy over its handling of allegations of spousal abuse leveled against former Staff Secretary Rob Porter, President Donald Trump has privately questioned the credibility of the accusers.

In fact, the president has gone as far as to express doubts to aides and friends about the assault allegations, and has asked repeatedly if there are any reasons Porter’s two ex-wives could have to make up such claims, according to three sources with direct knowledge of the conversations.

Trump’s skepticism has been apparent in discussions with confidants and officials, who tell The Daily Beast that, at least in their conversations, he has not expressed sympathy for the ex-wives, Colbie Holderness and Jennifer Willoughby, who have gone on the record to allege physical violence.

I have been thinking about our country and just where in the hell we went wrong. I had a brain fart last night and thought that maybe the Right went so far Right that they became Russians. That's why they see nothing wrong with Donald's relationship with Russians.
I think this state of affair has been happening for so long that it's almost seems normal. Fox news barking all these years. Rush Limbaugh barking. Alex Jones barking. The Republicans barking about Hillary for so long. In all of that, I think the Right began frantic in making their dreams come true and even now when they all know Putin is running this game, they won't back down because they have been wanting a leader that could further exploit the riches and undermine the middle class of America. The rich gets richer and the poor become slaves, and expendable.
But on the positive side of this, these people will be exposed eventually. They are showing their true spots. The so called Christians of America are showing that they are not really Christians, the Republicans are showing that they are not really conservative, the Trump era bringing out of the closet all of the ugliest factions of our country into light. Now we know.
Soon we may see just how involved they all are in the Russian espionage situation.

I don't think the "arrangement underscore's Trump's impatience with exhaustive classified documents." I think it underscores Trump's inability to read and comprehend words of more than one or, perhaps, two syllables. The Washington Post's sentence implies that something is wrong with the classified document that is the Daily Briefing; the problem, however, is with the person who is supposed to be reading it.

For heaven's sake, Trump claims to be a "stable genius," someone who is "smarter" than everyone else! He wanted the job so badly that he and his political party sold their souls (if they have any) to the successor regime of Soviet Russia to get it. Yet now we learn for sure that he is either too intellectually lazy or too mentally incompetent to do it. Thanks a lot, GOP!
