Yesterday Donald Trump called for due process when dealing with allegations of abuse or sexual misconduct. Senator Gillibrand says "Hold my beer."

Trump tweeted this out yesterday in response to yet another White House staff member resigning in the wake of allegations of spousal abuse.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand decided that he had a point.
Well that seems perfectly reasonable to me.

If Trump really wants to see justice done, and an investigation of the numerous allegations being bandied about, well where better to start than with the ones against him?

If Trump thought the Mueller investigation was terrifying, wait until he saw a parade of women making accusations against him filling into the Senate chambers.

Now THAT would be must see TV.

I also love how political cartoons are now showing Trump bald with an obvious comb over. That is gonna hurt.

Donnie's got the beginning of a Tweet poem...Let's see,

"Some are false and some are true,
Some are old and some are new,
Some bruises are green and some are blue".

Potential last line: "I do it too, sucks to be you".

That's what happens when the only thing the president can read without help is "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish."

(And he really only likes the red fish because the blue fish are mean to him)

He's fighting that "due process" thing he's calling for! Let's add his accusers charges to the investigation. That will give him due process!

Now what just a minute, what is this talk about due process for the victims, due process is only for republican men.
Abuser donnie didn't have a problem that Franken didn't have due process.

What i want to know is how can someone become president if they can't get FBI security clearance? Good thing trump doesn't work because he couldn't get a security clearance in his own office.

Read the Constitution, specifically the requirements for being President. Besides, security clearances probably weren't even dreamed of 200+ years ago.

The constitution has nothing to do with this,is the people that work for the president need security clearance,so should the president and this couldn't clean the toilets in the WH

  6. Kirsten Gillibrand sounds quite reasonable now, but I remember her being the first to call for Sen. Al Franken's resignation after he requested those very same Congressional hearings regarding the accusations about his own conduct. Makes me think she'd had ulterior motives, like keep him out of the running for a presidential bid in 2020. Not trusting her.

    3. Yep. I've got a great memory and I'll never vote for Gillibrand no matter how much she tries to atone, cover up or ignore what she did to Franken.

She has a nerve saying anything about due process. Fucking hypocrite.

      I agree with 7:39, 8:39,10:15 and 10:25.

Where was Gillibrand with a similar offer to Al Franken for due process, especially when he asked for an open investigation?

Her snap judgment when it came to Franken, lost a lot of future voters, including me.

Yeah. Got a feeling this Gillibrand person is the female version of Trump. I am a democrat but I thought the way she threw Franken under the bus was not good. She'd better go after Trump to redeem herself.

Back in the day, or still, the police use to believe the husband when an abused wife sought their help. This is the world Donald and his constituents come from and he's trying to keep it that way. I bet he slaps Melania around.

    1. It's that rancid patriarchy Steve Bannon is defending as being under attack and if we give in to the anti-patriarchy wimmens we shall all be destroyed. The world as we know it will be gone. Gone I tell you.

I am reminded of two lines from Paint Your Wagon:

"But Elizabeth, you don't know what you'll get."

      "I know what I've had."

I say let the patriarchy be replaced. At this point, could it be worse than what we've had?

" “I think the Republicans are enabling trump, are participating in this effort to smear Mueller, smear the FBI, because ultimately what’s going to happen, I believe, is that devastating information is going to come out about Donald Trump himself, and so what’s the best defense, but to smear the FBI, to smear Mueller, to smear the investigation. And that’s what’s wrong because we’re talking about IMPORTANT institutions of this country.”"

People should listen to her and her history:
"Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand: I've been working for five years on trying to end sexual violence in the military, I've been working on trying to clean up sexual assault on college campuses because too many universities shove this stuff under the rug. And I now am trying to clean up Congress."
