So about that meeting between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un.

Apparently the stupid hair club is negotiating a nuclear disarmament.
Courtesy of CNN:

President Donald Trump's stunning decision to meet Kim Jong Un sets up the prospect of the most mind-boggling diplomatic summit in modern history.

Trump, a reality star turned convention busting President, has dubbed Kim "Little Rocket Man" and threatened to rain fire and fury over North Korea, raising fears of a devastating war across the world's last Cold War frontier.

Kim, a portly 30-something whose state media recently blasted Trump as a "lunatic mean old trickster and human reject" presides over a prison state, purges his foes and has vowed to obliterate the US in a nuclear cloud.

The meeting, announced by a South Korean delegation at the White House on Thursday night, would, if it goes ahead, mark an unmatched moment of history in the 70-year standoff between the US and the isolated state.

In the short term, a meeting could defuse the spiraling tensions between the US and North Korea that have raised fears the two nations are on an accelerating slide to a clash that could kill millions on the Korean peninsula.

Now if I had not been observing Doanld Trump carefully these last two years, and only knew him from his reality show and appearances on the Howard Stern Show, I would not think he had a chance of pulling this off.

But having paid close attention since well before he announced his intention to run for president, I KNOW he cannot pull this off.

Kim Jong Un is a man who has murdered members of his own family, and engaged in literally every human rights violation known to man, including starvation, torture, and slavery.

Donald Trump is an arrogant man child, with no diplomatic experience, and a penchant for impulsivity.

North Korea has entered into talks before about doing away with their nuclear program and they stalled almost immediately.

I agree with all of the pundits that this is a positive step, and far better than that whole threat of nuclear annihilation that Trump was trumpeting previously.

However only the dimmest Trump supporters will actually have faith that this will end the potential threat from North Korea.

having that "sinking feeling of dread" about trump and kim jong-un meeting -
from the least significant - the timing - a ploy to upstage Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding and grab all the headlines
    to world domination...
we know russia works with n. korea, we know russia controls trump...
and we know other countries are admitting openly they know they can manipulate this president, it won't take much for n. korea to get any deal they want and play trump like a fiddle - trump admires putin and kim jong-un and wants to be like them - makes me dread what russia and n. korea are plotting together to manipulate trump and gain even more power on the world stage

That makes perfect sense about upstaging the wedding!!

Especially because a certain Dotard was not invited, and his arch-enemy and much loved former POTUS and friend of the Royal family is invited.

Good observation. And what a sick fuck Dotard is.

Dp you think it will even happen? Hopefully he will be dead or in jail by then. Drumpf, not Kim.

All Kim has to do is throw a HUGE military parade in Trump's honor, and Little Kim will get everything his interpreters ask for. And that is terrifying. That and the fact that 'preparation' and 'clear goals' is not part of Trump's makeup. He won't study history, won't listen to the few experts left, and will rely on his 'personality' and 'great great negotiating the best negotiator' skills and this will be a disaster. Wanna bet Tillerson is bumped for Javanka and Dennis Rodman?

    1. We've witnessed Trump's repeated failures at diplomacy. He is one of the least civil leaders in the world. This will only confirm to Un that Trump is a buffoon and the U.S. no deterrent to anything.

First off trump is no star. He is a "Real" big giant asshole and con artist. The pos deserves zero praise of any kind.
This is nothing more than a nothing burger and distraction. His new best friend putin that avoids sanctions and aids north korea to make bombs is behind the "invitation" of peace with the beast. Since trump was unsuccessful in this con job to America, he would be very ignorant to attend.
If timing is right, trump will be arrested, passport rejected, and facing the grand jury on multiple state and federal charges. Sorry but cadet bone spur aka david dennison will not be attending another fake putin un successful chin dig. The kremlin kgb is desperate for another shitshow from shithole.

I try not to judge anyone by looks but trump must be the ugliest idiot on the planet. That face is butt ugly, his manners are like a cockroach, he is disgusting and gross. Whew!! what a nasty terrible lousy actor. It is no wonder his kids all need plastic surgery and face transplants to face the world.

Compare photos of Ivanka to current and about a year ago. She has had major plastic surgery within that time frame.

Cannot imagine thinking I needed so much reconstructive surgery to my face! Her ego is exactly like her Dad's!!!

"“I think this is a great opportunity here to profoundly change the seven decade-long paradigm on the peninsula of abject animosity,” Clapper told the CNN host. “Now, that said, I get it about skepticism — we have been through this movie before. I would counsel, for what it’s worth, that the objectives for this meeting, be fairly modest.”

“I would comment that I think one of the factors that affected this decision on Kim Jong-un’s part was that they have reached a level of confidence in their nuclear capabilities so when they do sit down for negotiations they don’t feel like they don’t feel as though they are sycophants,” "

    "The dimmest Trump supporters"

That's a big group. They are all dim. Some even have degrees of higher education and are affluent. But they are all dim. Trump's election woke me up to how stupid and hypocritical half the country is. They like to wave flags, guns, and bibles (they think they are super duper patriots), and they are all marginally retarded. I call them Fox et al. fed primitives. They are definitely on the left side of the bell curve. They adored 84IQ point Palin. She's just like them. Idiots.

Is it bad that I, an American, feel an immediate disgust at the picture of Trump in this article? I always find it hard to look at Trump. But when his pic is directly next to Kim Jong-Un’s, it made me realize that I actually dislike and feel more threatened by Trump than Kim.

I'd pay to see Kim tell T.Rump, take it or leave it. Last offer. Or, "you're fired" as a negotiator. And T.Rump lose it.

Somehow, I don't believe that Candidate Bone Spurs will talk to Rocket Boy himself. Also, we (the US) have NO people that are able to talk to him delicately, like diplomacy usually goes. One wrong word out of our mouths, and everything the Koreans have been able to get agreed on will fly out the window.

mlaiuppa: no, I don't believe we *had* one. One was suggested to Tiny Hands, but when he announced he was supportive of diplomatic ways, his nomination was taken away... We HAD experts under all the other administrations, but under this one, we only have shills.

      https://www.politico.com/story/2018/02/26/north-korea-state-envoy-retire-426630

"A top U.S. diplomat overseeing North Korea policy is retiring, the State Department confirmed Monday, a decision that could further hobble U.S. efforts to pressure Pyongyang to give up its nuclear arsenal.

The departure of Joseph Yun, expected Friday, also is likely to raise more concerns about a thinning of the ranks at the State Department, where many top officials have quit since the start of the Trump administration.

Yun, who joined the foreign service in 1985, has been serving as the U.S. special representative for North Korea policy. He is a well-regarded diplomat tackling one of the toughest assignments in the U.S. government."

      You stand corrected.
