James Comey has added former Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald to his legal team.

 Courtesy of TPM:

Fired FBI Director James Comey has retained former U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald as one of his personal attorneys, bringing in a heavy-hitting former prosecutor, close friend and longtime colleague to help him navigate his dramatic role as a potential witness in the investigation of President Trump’s campaign and potential obstruction of justice.

Two Capitol Hill sources independently told TPM that Fitzgerald was serving as a lawyer for Comey. After publication, Fitzgerald confirmed that he “has been part of Mr. Comey’s legal team since May 2017.”

Damn! James Comey has chosen one of the best prosecutors in the country to assist him.

Comey and Fitzgerald go way back, and in fact Comey is the one who chose Fitzgerald to serve as a Special Counsel during the Bush Administration.

The target of that investigation was Scooter Libby, who Fitzgerald saw convicted, and who Trump just recently pardoned.

I have to imagine that Fitzgerald is not feeling terribly generous toward the man who erased all of his hard work, and Trump has NOBODY on his team who can go toe to toe with this guy.

Hhhhmmm...Ghouliani is joining Trumplethinskin's legal team.

    Comey has this gentleman.

Wow. What a matchup. It will be interesting to see, to say the least. Trumplethinskin's side looks more like a side*show*, TBH.

Actually, it is so nice to listen to a leader of a country. Townhall. I wish the USA had a leader to talk to people, "my people".

Comey made an outstanding choice!!! Yea!

I can hardly wait to see Donald carted off to the slammer - know it's going to happen - just don't know when. He truly is a marked man and has no one to blame but himself and the men he's listened to, and followed, throughout his life. He's been such an idiot!

A thing to remember about Guiliani is that many of his showy prosecutions were reversed on appeal. Some of his 1st amendment policies as mayor cost millions in lawsuits. He was never as good as he thoughtbhe was.

OT? " he felt guilty for Putin’s semi-surreptitious invasion of Ukraine, which began almost as soon as the Games had ended. If he hadn’t helped Russians win that many medals, Rodchenkov told Fogel, Putin wouldn’t have gotten so overly confident as to invade Ukraine, annex its CRIMEan Peninsula, and expect no repercussions.

The irony is that both wins ended up being pyrrhic victories.

In invading Ukraine and annexing CRIMEa, Putin got into an expensive quagmire in the Donbass region of Eastern Ukraine and a peninsula that is nearly impossible to supply with water, electricity, and food. Meant to revive Russia’s imperial glory, the move left Russia sanctioned and isolated from the West that it was trying so hard to impress.

In rigging the Olympics, Putin got what he wanted"<JiZZ!
