Reporter responsible for Trump's "Best Sex" headline admits that she does not know if Marla Maples even said it.

Courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter:

My most memorable experience with Trump was sitting in the office of New York Post editor Jerry Nachman, an award-winning, street-wise savant who drank in information with the same gusto he gulped down countless cups of coffee. This was the heyday of the Donald/Ivana divorce, in 1990, when I was the Post's TV and radio columnist. The dueling Post and New York Daily News were documenting the couple's very public breakup. Ivana Trump, via Liz Smith, had won a front-page story — and public sympathy — at the News, portrayed as the spurned wife losing her husband to the younger Marla Maples — and Donald didn't like it.

Sitting in Nachman's office while he was editing one of my pieces, I heard his secretary yell, "It's Donald." Nachman motioned me to "shhh" and put Trump on speaker. "Those fucking bitches," Trump bellowed. "I want a front-page story tomorrow."

Jerry calmly replied, "Donald, you just don't demand a front-page story. There has to be a story." "For all the newspapers I've sold for you, you should give me one." "That's not how it works." "What gets a front-page story?" Donald asked.

The veteran newsman contemplated the question. "It's usually murder, money or sex." Donald fired back: "Marla says with me it's the best sex she's ever had." Nachman's face lit up like a firecracker. "That's great!" he said. "But you know I need corroboration."

"Marla," Trump yelled into the background. "Didn't you say it's the best sex you ever had with me?" From a distance, we heard a faint voice: "Yes, Donald." Only years later did we learn that Trump sometimes impersonated voices to reporters. I still can't be sure whether the voice in the room was really hers.

I think most people simply assumed that this quote was bullshit, but it is interesting that it was Trump himself who came up with the wording and that the reporter only relied on a faceless voice for confirmation.

That is some shitty reporting right there.

But then again who gave a fuck when Trump was simply some publicity obsessed rich asshole living in New York?

Still it irritates me that there are still some so-called "journalists" who report on Trump in much the same fashion today.

That's right, I'm looking at you Fox News.

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/compost/wp/2018/04/13/further-excerpts-from-james-comeys-book-if-the-existing-ones-are-anything-to-go-on/?utm_term=.2c278f06c764

"In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God, and then, on Dec. 14, 1960, I, James Comey, was born. The initials, as Reinhold Niebuhr would tell us, are no coincidence.

I have been called a human humblebrag. I certainly couldn’t speak to the truth of that statement, except to say that where I come from, we don’t like bullies and their mean words. Bullies are mean and small, not like myself (I stand 6-foot-8, with a head of lush dark hair and eyes that pierce into the souls of everyone I encounter, like the eyes of a hawk who has read Reinhold Niebuhr (I wrote my thesis on Reinhold Niebuhr.)).

I would venture to say that I am the protagonist of my own life and perhaps the lives of many others. Certainly, no one else has as yet stood up to take on this grave responsibility, and it was my honor to rise to this challenge. It is a little embarrassing to describe myself: I stand, as mentioned, about 6-foot-8, like an oak with a firm sense of right and wrong and large, capacious hands. When I first seized Donald Trump’s, I took a mental note (and later, a physical note; I maintain scrupulous contemporaneous notes) that they had vanished into mine, like a dormouse curled up inside an oven mitt. But most hands do that when confronted with mine, except President Barack Obama’s, and — I hope — Reinhold Niebuhr’s, if we ever meet, in this life or the next.

Not to draw any parallels to my time as a prosecutor against the Mob, but when I met Donald Trump, one couldn’t help but note certain similarities. Donald Trump would frequently ask me if I would like to be “made,” but I made a point to fob him off with a joke, saying, “I think I’ve been made already, Donald Trump, by a far higher power, as Reinhold Niebuhr would suggest.” Donald Trump did not laugh at these jokes. He never once laughed in my presence. I think it is a grave danger to democracy for a man never to laugh."

If that is the case, why is he reduced to having to PAY women to have sex with him? How come none of them stick around? Marla may have been talking about the bodyguard she had an affair with, caught almost naked on the beach in California together.

rump may think his Syria distraction was a “Mission Accomplished,” but it won’t help him run from the potentially criminal conduct of he and his allies.

"The Robert Mueller investigation continues to turn over every stone, his personal lawyer is looking increasingly like a criminal and Trump’s history of silencing women is coming back to haunt him."

Marla and her trump kid have been very quiet? Why? What kinda threats did he throw at her? Anyone with dirt on trump should come forward and speak up, because trump is a very nasty asshole and must be held accountable for his behavior.

On the Howard Stern show, Donald Trump said he ordered Marla Maples to have an abortion. He did not want his daughter to be born. This is public record. Later, Trump declared he was pro choice. Yet the evangelicals worship him. WTF. Trump was sent to save us.

THIS is why I will never understand how people who, like myself, lived in the NY metro area during the past 40 years could EVER consider voting for this cruel, narcissistic, incompetent bastard.

We spent decades listening to and reading about the arrogance, misogyny and racism of Donald Trump. How could they think that he might possibly be an acceptable president? I no longer live in that part of the state, but I know that a lot of my former classmates and acquaintances supported him.
