Hey, remember that convoy of military looking vehicles sporting a Donald Trump flag? It was the Navy.

The military convoy spotted on Sunday flying a Donald Trump flag near Louisville belonged to an East Coast-based SEAL unit, a Navy spokesperson told ABC News. 

Military officials have launched an inquiry to determine if any misconduct can be linked to the incident. Regulations do not permit an unauthorized flag on a military vehicle. 

"The convoy were service members assigned to an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit driving vehicles while transiting between two training locations," Lieutenant Jacqui Maxwell, a spokesperson for Naval Special Warfare Group 2, told ABC News. Naval Special Warfare Units is the official Navy term for its elite SEAL special operations teams. 

Maxwell said that Fort Knox, near Louisville, is used by Naval Special Warfare units for routine training. 

The spokesperson said that a command inquiry has been initiated to determine what flag was being flown by the vehicle in the convoy. 

"Defense Department and Navy regulations prescribe flags and pennants that may be displayed as well as the manner of display," said Maxwell. "The flag shown in the video was unauthorized."

I have to say I am somewhat amazed at the cognitive dissonance portrayed by these servicemen.

After all Trump authorized an ill conceived raid that killed one of their own, along with a number of civilian women and children.

And there is every likelihood that Trump will send many more to their deaths in the next few years, since he has essentially threatened everybody from China, to Iran, and even Mexico.

Right Wing truckers on their way to D.C. to jam the roads and arrest them some politicians. "Mercy sakes alive, looks like we got us a convoy..."

On October 11th, a group of right-wing truckers is planning to drive to DC to shut down the major commuter highway that circles the city. They’ll continue to block traffic, they say, until they see the arrest of elected officials who have “violated their oath of office.” 

Organizers of the event, which is titled “Truckers Ride for the Constitution,” say they are fed up with a variety of headaches caused by the government: Fuel efficiency standards enforced by the Environmental Protection Agency, Obamacare, state and local laws over idling their trucks, and “insurance companies purportedly requiring technological updates,” according to US News and World Report. 

They say that to demonstrate against violations of the constitution, they plan to circle interstate 495 — known widely as the beltway — and not allow through any traffic. If police try to stop them, they’ll park their trucks right on the highway. 

Originally, reports from US News and World Report indicated the truckers were looking to impeach President Obama. But Earl Conlon, an organizer of the event, told US News, “We’re not asking for impeachment, we’re asking for the arrest of everyone in government who has violated their oath of office.” These include House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), both for purportedly arming al Qaeda linked Syrian rebels. But while it might seem very US-specific, even some Canadian truckers might join in. 

It was not immediately clear how truckers would go from circling the highway around DC to actually arresting elected representatives.

You know my dad was a trucker, and in my experience a depth of knowledge about politics is certainly no prerequisite for driving a big rig.

Most of the truckers that I have ever met spent just about every waking hour on the road transporting cargo just to make ends meet. It makes me wonder what kind of trucker has this kind of time on his hands, or is willing to have his rig confiscated due to public endangerment or trespassing.

But boy does this take me back good buddy. Back to the days when we all had our ears on, were constantly on the lookout for Smokeys, and could always catch our pals on the flip-flop. (Here you go.)

But on a serious note, just how long is all of this going to go on before we start to talk seriously about  the fact that we are in the beginning stages of an all out civil war?
