Wife of the guy who founded the Oath Keepers gets restraining order accusing him of domestic violence and using gun to threaten people.

Courtesy of the Southern Poverty Law Center:

Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes faces allegations of abuse and household violence in a motion for a temporary restraining order his wife filed last month with a Montana court.

Stewart Rhodes, the head of the antigovernment Oath Keepers, will frequently threaten himself and his family with a weapon he always carries, and he has a history of violent outbursts against his family, including an incident in 2016 when he choked his teenage daughter by the throat.

That history was outlined in a sworn petition Rhodes’ wife, Tasha Vonn Adams Rhodes, filed last month in a Lincoln County, Montana, court room asking for a temporary protective order against her husband. Hatewatch obtained a copy of the petition on Thursday.

Vonn Adams Rhodes claims in the filing that the most recent incident involving her husband occurred last November at the family home in Trego, a far-northern Montana town where Rhodes lives with his wife and four of their six children.

“Whenever [Stewart Rhodes] is unhappy with my behavior (say I want to leave the house — he doesn’t like me to leave) he will draw his handgun (which he always wears), rack the slide, wave it around, and then point it at his own head, telling me my behavior has caused this,” Vonn Adams Rhodes wrote in the petition, which was filed on February 20. “I filed for divorce a few days ago and am terrified.”

What? A gun toting Rambo wannabe is violent toward others? You're kidding?

Aren't the Oath Keepers the group that volunteered to stand outside public schools and keep them safe from gun wielding thugs?

Yeah, I think it is a good idea to take a hard pass on that one.

Armed Right Wing militia members planning to hang around schools to "protect" them from lunatics with guns. Umm......

Courtesy of TPM:

Imagine if every school campus in the United States had its own volunteer security officer: a former police officer or military veteran equipped with an assault rifle.

That’s the dream of Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes.

In the wake of the February 14 massacre at a Parkland, Florida high school, Rhodes is calling on members of his far-right anti-government militia group to serve as unpaid and unaccountable armed school guards — whether teachers and students like the idea or not.

One Indiana Oath Keeper has already deployed to a local school, even though the school district says there’s no need for him to be there.

Rhodes wants the military and police veterans who make up Oath Keepers’ membership to volunteer for unpaid, rotating shifts at schools of all levels, and colleges, throughout the country. He and two other representatives of the fringe militia community will hold a webinar Monday night where they plan to encourage Oath Keepers to station themselves at schools “to protect the children against mass murder, and to help train the teachers and staff.”

“I think it’s essential,” Rhodes told TPM in a Monday phone call. “It’s part of our responsibility to do what we can.”

Of all of the extremely bad ideas I have heard this week, this might be the worst.

Some of these Rambo wannabes are just about as unhinged as the school shooters themselves, and having them racing into a school building full of children with their weapon drawn every time a car backfires is a terrifying thought indeed.

And can you imagine the police showing up and finding TWO assault weapon carrying individuals in the building decked out in camouflage clothing? Who would they shoot first?

No the answer is LESS guns, not MORE assault rifle toting idiots.

Founder of Oath Keepers threatens BLM and others who disrespect the flag with an ass kicking.

Wait, the Oath Keepers was founded by a pirate?
Courtesy of Right Wing Watch:

While speaking with Alex Jones last week, Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes said that his militia group is prepared to fight the supposed alliance between liberals, Black Lives Matter activists, anarchists, gangs, drug cartels and jihadists determined “to destroy western civilization.”

Rhodes boasted that his extremist group is “starting student chapters on college campuses across the country,” while Jones warned that college student bodies today are dominated by violent Maoists bent on killing their adversaries.

The Oath Keepers leader had a warning for any student who tried to burn the American flag: “You’re going to get stomped. That’s what’s going to happen to them. I know a lot of veterans, the first time they see some radical leftist trampling on a flag or burning a flag, they’re going to kick their ass. I know you can say it’s free speech, but the veteran doesn’t care about that. In his mind, it’s not free speech, that’s not protected speech, it’s incitement to violence so he’s going to go ahead and use it.”

“When someone gets in your face and wants to use violence, like that one commissar who was screaming and screeching for ‘muscle,’ ‘Bring some muscle over here, I need muscle,’ people like that, we have no sympathy for, so when she gets what’s coming to her and those like her, well that’s just the way it goes,” Rhodes continued. “When someone does defend themselves and they get stomped, of course they’ll screech and call them ‘racist’ and ‘fascist’ and ‘brownshirts’ but they brought it on themselves so I just have no sympathy for them.”

There is a part of me that would secretly enjoy watching a bunch of these overfed white dudes wading into a group of young black men, or women, and attempt to "kick their ass."

But since these "real men" tend to carry guns on them at all times to prove their manhood, that could be ugly.

Later in the exchange Alex Jones claimed to have a "mole" inside "the Democrats" who was telling him about planned false flag operations, and that Muslims in the country are preparing a  "western Tet Offensive" which is completely believable it you are OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND!

Oath Keepers launch plan to infiltrate fire departments and ambulance crews in attempt to con people into trusting them.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

The Oath Keepers are tired of being marginalized as “militia members” — so the pro-gun militia group is planning to carry their anti-government message into local government institutions to conscript unsuspecting neighbors into their yearned-for revolution.

The group’s founder, Stewart Rhodes, outlined the plan Aug. 29 at the group’s “Appalachian summit” in Gilbert, West Virginia, but the speech was recently posted online by the Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights.

The three-day event attracted members of the Oath Keepers and Three Percent militia groups, as well as Tea Party and other conservative or right-wing activists.

Rhodes urged them to join volunteer fire departments, search and rescue teams, ambulance crews, police auxiliary and reserve officer groups — which he said had essentially replaced militias in community life.

He said these volunteers are “perceived as a good guy” by their neighbors, who might not be receptive to invitations to join a militia, and go “shopping for talent” to identify potential members of neighborhood watch groups that are armed vigilante groups.

“(Militia) has been turned into the M-word,” Rhodes complained. “It’s a dirty word now — just like the N-word.”

Oh yeah, just like the "N" word. Except for the fact that nobody screams "militia" at you when they are trying to cave your skull in or hang you from a tree for looking at a white girl.

This guy Rhodes also suggested that Oath Keepers hold block parties in order to find potential members.

I can see it now, "Hey how about those burgers? Good huh? Hey you wanna help us overthrow the government?"

You know this plan might have worked better if this idiot had not stood on a stage with a microphone and announced that this was their plan.

I'm just saying.

Oath Keepers want to set up classes in high schools and colleges to teach students not to be sheep-like, to attack school shooters, and to refuse to submit to the government death camps. Wait, what?

Courtesy of Right Wing Watch:

The armed anti-government group Oath Keepers unveiled its strategy to prevent school shootings last week, announcing its intention to form college — and eventually high school — chapters, which the group will use to train students to “stop submitting and cooperating in their own murders” and resist the coming government “death camps.”

In an article on the group’s website, Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and media director Jason Van Tatenhove wrote that the students killed in the recent shooting at a community college in Oregon died because they were “conditioned” to be “passive, submissive and ‘non-violent.’”

In an interview with Red List News, the two went into more detail, with Van Tatenhove warning that anti-bullying programs in schools, specifically, are “brainwashing children” into being “docile.”

“Whether it’s an active shooter that kills them, or later on a death camp somewhere down the road because they’ve been conditioned never to fight back,” he warned, “it only leads to death.”

Rhodes agreed: “The same submissive and servile, sheep-like mindset that children are being taught is exactly what they’re going to do politically, too, when it comes to their own government. They’re never going to stand up to it. So I think the conditioning is intentional to make them easily murdered by mass shooters, and I also think it’s intentional to make them servile and submissive before the powers that be who want a compliant, submissive population.”

Yes how very astute of these knuckle draggers.

Teaching children not to bully others is totally going to make it easier to round them up and bus them to government run death camps.

Curses! They saw right through the government's dastardly plan.

Personally I would not let these idiots anywhere near our schools, or our students. Anybody who believes all problems can be solved with more guns in the hands of more people, is a very poor example indeed for impressionable children.

However I will agree with them on one point, I also do not want our children brainwashed into being servile and sheep-like.

That's why I think they should be kept away from Fox News.

Kim Davis removes not only her name but also the name of the county on new marriage licenses. May render them invalid.

Courtesy of Yahoo News:

A deputy for the Kentucky county clerk who was jailed after refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples questioned on Friday the validity of the licenses he has issued since his boss' return.

In a filing with the federal judge overseeing a lawsuit against Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis for not issuing marriage licenses, the attorney for deputy clerk Brian Mason said he has "some substantial questions" about the new licenses Davis altered and gave him to issue after she returned to work on Monday.

He is concerned the licenses do not mention the name of the county. Davis has directed him to sign the licenses as a notary public, instead of as a deputy county clerk, Mason's attorney, Richard Hughes, said in the documents.

While Davis also does not believe the licenses are valid, no one has challenged their legality in court. Both the state's governor and attorney general have said the new licenses are valid.

You know I am really tired of this lunatic.

I think this is clearly an attempt on her part to render these licenses invalid, and though it may not work it is still defying the orders given by the judge which specifically forbade her from interfering in the issuance of these marriage licenses.

Personally I hope that the judge finds her in contempt of a court order and has her arrested again.

And I further hope that those Oath Keeper assholes try to interfere on her behalf, because I happen to know that law enforcement is ready for them.

The Oath Keepers say that they are planning to protect anti-gay Kentucky clerk Kim Davis....from the judge. What could possibly go wrong?

Courtesy of Raw Story:

The Oath Keepers, an armed, camouflage-wearing volunteer militia famous for hunkering down at Bundy Ranch, now say they have “boots on the ground” to protect Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who they believe was denied her right to a jury trial.

Davis, the elected clerk of Rowan County, has become the current celebrity of the anti-gay movement for staunchly refusing to issue marriage licenses after the Supreme Court’s Obergefell v. Hodges ruling in June legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. After defying the highest court and subsequent court orders to issue the licenses, a federal judge held her in contempt and jailed her.

In a teleconference uploaded to YouTube, Oath Keeper founder Stewart Rhodes discussed the operation with Kentucky sheriff Denny Peyman, Missouri Oath Keeper John Karriman, and West Virginia Oath Keeper Allen Landieri. The group claimed that their new mission had nothing to do with same-sex marriage and insisted they were only offering to guard Davis because the judge had acted illegally.

“People should consider her under our protection,” Rhodes says in the teleconference. “We’ll make sure that our people are keeping a close eye on the situation and we’re going have boots on the ground to keep watch regardless, because this judge needs to understand that he’s not going be able to just go grab this lady whenever he feels like it.”

So to be clear if the judge, an elected official of the court, sends the police, official representatives of the law, to arrest Kim Davis, an elected government official, the Oath Keepers, a bunch of overweight Rambo wannabes, are planning to stop them?

With force if necessary?

Oh this is not going to be pretty.

Oath Keepers show up in Ferguson after protests cause the authorities to declare a "state of emergency."

Courtesy of NBC News:

Oath Keepers Defend Right to Bear Arms Ferguson's Streets 0:52 Heavily-armed members of a controversial patriot group added an extra dose of unease to protests in Ferguson, Missouri, early Tuesday.

The Oath Keepers organization says its members — all former military, police and first responders — pledge to "defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

However, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar described their presence as "both unnecessary and inflammatory."

Protesters and police confirmed that a handful of Oath Keepers with assault rifles, bulletproof vest and camouflage gear were seen early Tuesday on the streets of Ferguson, which was under a state of emergency following demonstrations pegged to the anniversary of Michael Brown's death.

Several protesters confronted members of the group, asking why they were allowed to openly carry weapons.

"I'm happy that we're able to defend ourselves," one Oath Keeper replied in footage from NBC station KSDK. "It's been our right for a long time."

Apparently after being confronted some of the so-called Oath Keepers suggested they were there to protect the protesters from the police, but nobody was buying it. Especially the police who would have undoubtedly disarmed the men and sent them packing.

Oh I forgot these are white men.

Which is a difference that did not go unnoticed by the locals, one of whom tweeted:

"Black people are killed for carrying toy guns in an open carry state. White men come armed with assault rifles to a protest and nothing."

It really seemed that the Oath Keepers came to rub protester's noses in the fact that THEY could walk around heavily armed, while black folks were getting killed simply for jaywalking.

I guess there wasn't already enough racial tension for their liking.

Former Arizona Sheriff who argued against Obamacare, is sick now and wants people to help pay his bills.

Courtesy of TPM:

Former Arizona county sheriff Richard Mack, a fierce opponent of Obamacare and a leader in the "constitutional sheriff" movement, is struggling to pay his medical bills after he and his wife each faced serious illnesses. The former sheriff and his wife do not have health insurance and started a GoFundMe campaign to solicit donations from family and friends to cover the costs of their medical care.

"Because they are self-employed, they have no medical insurance and are in desperate need of our assistance," reads a note on Mack's personal website.

Mack, the founder of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, suffered a heart attack in January and is in recovery. His wife fell ill late last year. Mack is on the board of Oath Keepers, a right-wing fringe group made up of police and military veterans, and is known for supporting Cliven Bundy in his standoff against the federal government. He is also an ardent opponent of Obamacare.

"The States do not have to take or support or pay for Obamacare or anything else from Washington DC. The States are not subject to federal direction," he wrote on his website, outlining how state governments can block President Obama.

Hey you know if this idiot had spent his time surfing the Healthcare.gov website instead of trying to find ways to overthrow the Federal government he might not be in such an unfortunate situation.

After all Jan Brewer finally caved and allowed the Medicaid expansion in Arizona, so you might think this guy would see the writing on the wall.

I would be interested to see if whether or not after this close call he has a "Come to Jesus moment," and decides that Obamacare might not be the work of the devil after all.

Nah, what am I saying? These guys never learn.

Militia plans to show up at the border and point guns as immigrants appears to be suffering a setback.

Courtesy of Crooks and Liars:

What if militias announced a showdown with the feds and nobody came?

That’s pretty much what happened in Texas this week, after a handful of militia activists called on their fellow militia members to intervene in the increasingly fraught humanitarian crisis on the U.S.-Mexico border, involving large numbers of children from Central America who are straining the government’s ability to process their complicated cases.

For a Texas militiaman named Chris Davis, there was nothing complicated about it. In a video he posted at YouTube – which he has since been removed – he offered a simple solution for dealing with the young border crossers.

“How?” Davis asked rhetorically. “You see an illegal, you point your gun right dead at them, right between the eyes, and say ‘Get back across the border, or you will be shot.’ Simple as that. If you get any flak from sheriffs, city, or feds, Border Patrol, tell them look — this is our birthright. We have a right to secure our own land. This is our land. This is our birthright.”

So did manly man Chris Davis and his rag tag group of camouflaged dipshits show up at the border to wave their metal penises at the immigrant children seeking asylum?

It appears not.

However, Davis’ militia muster call quickly vanished into virtual thin air. Shortly after he began receiving media attention – including accounts in the McAllenville Monitor, Brownsville Herald, San Antonio Express-News and Los Angeles Times – he not only took down all his YouTube videos and deleted his channel there, he also deleted his Facebook page and all its incendiary antigovernment content.

Bummer it looks like Captain Courageous has a yellow streak running down his spine.

And guess what else we know about him.

Courtesy of TPM:

Chris Davis, the reported leader of the militia that encompasses many of the same groups that supported Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy in his standoff with federal authorities, was cited by San Antonio police for disorderly conduct because he and two other men were openly carrying firearms outside a Starbucks last year, the newspaper reported. It identified him as a member of Open Carry Texas.

Davis was also reportedly discharged from the U.S. Army in 2001 "under other than honorable conditions in lieu of trial by court martial." Davis had served in the Army from 1996 to 2001. The Express-News reviewed a summary of his military service, which relayed those "other than honorable conditions" for the discharge, but did not provide more details.

So dishonorably discharged from the military and now  trying to pass himself off as a poor man's General Patton.

What more could we expect from this bunch of idiots?
