Twitter to suspend 1,062 accounts linked to Russian troll farm.

Twitter said Friday that it has suspended 1,062 new accounts it has found to be linked to the Internet Research Agency, a Russian "troll farm" which disseminated content intended to interfere in the U.S. political process. 

In total, the company has found 3,814 Internet Research Agency-linked accounts, which posted 175,993 tweets during the 2016 presidential campaign. 

Twitter said it also found 13,512 new Kremlin-linked bot accounts, bringing the total number of bots it has found in connection to Russia's election influence efforts to 50,258. 

The company also said in a post on Friday that it will notify 677,775 people to let them know that they either liked, retweeted or followed Russian-linked accounts, following a request from Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) to do so. 

Twitter noted, however, that it won’t show users the content they saw, saying that because it has “already suspended these accounts, the relevant content on Twitter is no longer publicly available.”

What they don't mention is that it is being replaced by new data, from new Russian troll accounts, that are yet to be identified. 

The misinformation campaign continues to this day, and still people are ignorantly retweeting  or liking tweets that originate in Russia and are designed to manipulate public opinion or sow the seeds of divisiveness.

Both Twitter and Facebook played a huge part in helping to hijack our Democracy. And they need to be held accountable.

Twitter has shut down account of Muslim bashing British woman who Donald Trump retweeted in November.

A far-right British activist who gained prominence after President Trump retweeted her anti-Muslim tweets in November had her Twitter account suspended on Monday as part of the social network’s effort to crack down on hate speech. 

Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of far-right British group Britain First, saw her account suspended as part of a Twitter-wide crackdown on hate gorups. 

In November, President Trump retweeted three videos from Fransen's account that purported to show Muslims committing acts of violence. 

Fransen’s account, along with others connected to Britain First, now appear to be suspended. 

Trump’s retweets prompted lawmakers in the U.S. and U.K. to speak out against Trump and Britain First, with several British lawmakers calling for his state visit to the country to be canceled. 

After the Dutch Embassy disputed the veracity of one of the videos Trump retweeted, the White House defended Trump's actions, saying that it "doesn't matter" if the videos are real or not because the "threat is real."

Sure Twitter shuts down this racist, fake news spewing POS, but yet it allows this one to keep right on spreading misinformation.

Alabama judge Roy Moore loses his job for defying law on same sex marriage. Your feel good story of the day.

The Alabama Court of the Judiciary has suspended Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore without pay for the remainder of his term in office. 

The court ruled Friday morning to suspend Moore without pay for the remainder of his term in office. He will also have to pay for court costs. 

Moore was found guilty on all six charges, that he failed to respect and comply with the law for telling probate judges not to allow same sex marriages. The same panel removed Moore in 2003 after he refused to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the state judicial building. He was later re-elected as chief justice after losing a race for governor.

Roy Moore of course is an outspoken opponent of same sex marriage, and anti-government zealot, and of course a Right Wing hero.

I imagine that now he will be considered a martyr to their cause and embark on a speaking tour during which he vilifies President Obama and the liberals to crowds at Alt-Right political rallies and Evangelical tent revivals.

Two Fox News talking heads get suspended for being potty mouths.

Fox News has suspended two on-air contributors in the wake of crude language they used on different programs on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network Monday to discuss President Obama. 

“Earlier today, Fox contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air,”said Bill Shine, senior executive vice president of programming for both networks, in a prepared statement. “Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks.” 

The two networks are both owned by 21st Century Fox.

Peters made his comments on a Fox Business Network program hosted by Stuart Varney on Fox Business, using the word “p—y” to describe the President’s remarks on terrorism delivered Sunday evening. Dash (pictured, above) while speaking on Fox News’ “Outnumbered,” said that the President didn’t “give a s–t” about terrorism.

Personally I'm a little surprised that Fox News suspended them. 

After all it really does not sound that much different from the usual crap that is said about the President on that network.

Of course if this were a REAL news outlet they would have been fired instead of simply suspended.

P.S. For those who keep asking who this Stacy Dash person is, she is a sometime actress whose biggest role was as Alicia Silverstone's black friend in the movie "Clueless."

Which of course also describes her understanding of topics discussed on Fox News.
