The lesbian mother of a 12-year-old girl has taken objection to a sex education pamphlet an Alabama middle school is handing out to students, describing homosexuality as an illegitimate lifestyle choice.
"The Top 10 Questions Teenagers Ask about Sex" was being distributed for the second year at the school as part of a three-day sex-education and abstinence guidance program at Honeysuckle Middle School.Angela Williams said when her daughter brought the pamphlet home, she approved of much of it, but not the pamphlet’s view of homosexuality.
"I got to question eight and my jaw dropped," she told The Dothan Eagle in a story Tuesday.
"I can’t believe they went there."According to The Associated Press, Question #8 reads:
"What can I do if I am attracted to someone of the same sex?" The answer advises: "Too often, homosexuality is shown as a legitimate lifestyle equal to a heterosexual lifestyle." It also says homosexuality is "contrary to the laws of nature."
What "laws of nature" are these people talking about? Nature is rampant with homosexuality. It is like a drug crazed night at "Studio 54" out there. I mean bees do it, birds do it, even educated fleas do it.
These so-called teachers need to get over themselves.
Of course what do you expect it is Alabama, the homophobic capital of the world.
