Greenspan puts the nail in the coffin of this economy.

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said on Tuesday the U.S. economy was in recession, and said it would be appropriate to tap public funds to resolve the mortgage-related crisis that has helped pull the economy under.

So now it is official. We are in a recession.

Of course that is not a surprise to the people who have been paying attention.

In Alaska we are still doing relatively well but there is some concern in the housing market.
