A campaign aide says Hillary Rodham Clinton loaned herself $6.4 million in the past month.
Politically wounded and financially strapped, Clinton plunged back into the presidential campaign Wednesday even as Barack Obama declared that Tuesday's primary results left him with a "clear path to victory."
Obama beat Clinton soundly in North Carolina and fell just short in an Indiana cliffhanger, a rebound for the Illinois senator that presented Clinton with fast-dwindling chances to deny him the Democratic presidential nomination.
The loan more than doubles Clinton's personal investment in her bid for the Democratic nomination. She gave her campaign $5 million earlier this year.
Perhaps Hillary did not hear the fateful words from the MSNBC political guru Tim Russert last night. Here they are:
I don't usually advocate violence against women, but it is clearly time for somebody to jab Hillary with a fork and let her know she is done.

Second, does she think she's going to get it back? Obama's campaign isn't going to pay-off a debt of that size just to make her go away.
It's really time for Dean, Carter, Gore, Pelosi and Reid to corner this bitch in a room and knock some sense into her.
I don't have a pitchfork, but I've got a long pointy BBQ fork that can turn over huge slabs of pork ribs, so it seems about the right size for this job. You just gave me an idea: I'm gonna email her campaign fundraisers some fork pics now!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was especially telling last night in her speech - when she told listeners to go to her website - that she was hurting.
ReplyDeleteI find it distasteful that she talks about how Obama is massively outspending her. Well, Hillary, Obama is also outearning you. And it is not just as simple as "He is getting the donations and you are not." His campaign has been better managed in every aspect - including finances - since the beginning. PLEASE do not tell us your voters have less money to give. Obama has gotten almost all his money from small donations.
Am I supposed to feel like Hillary is "jes' folks"? How am I supposed to garner sympathy for a family that has earned $10 million a year for the last ten years? And how much of that money came from those WONDERFUL humanitarians, the Chinese government?

Well Jackie- I think you were doing fine up there on the soapbox....and DK and the Fork pics...too funny....NOW for the NOT funny...How the Hell can she be running around telling folks that she is just normal folks- when she is handing her campaign millions of dollars- so like LAST time- are bills still going unpaid- including Med Insurance and FOOD for her staff and employees ?

What WAS it about those Pantini's? Maybe drinking them brings out rudeness, maybe the thought of being free of Hillary was too electrifying to contain. Looking back on it today, from now on, I will reserve 3AM for phone calls, not Pantini's. But Gryphen should know we were only being silly & playful, not intentionally rude.
