The seven state employees that had previously refused to comply with subpoenas concerning Troopergate investigation have had a change of heart.

Alaska Attorney General Talis Colberg announced today that seven state employees will now honor subpoenas to testify in the legislative investigation of the Troopergate affair.

Colberg said the decision comes in light of a judge's ruling last week rejecting an attempt to quash the subpoenas.

All seven employees have decided, in light of Superior Court Judge Peter Michalski's decision, to cooperate with the legislative investigation, according to a statement today from Colberg's office.

"Despite my initial concerns about the subpoenas, we respect the court's decision to defer to the Legislature," Colberg said. "We are working with Senator Hollis French to arrange for the testimony of the seven state employee plaintiffs."

Gee I wonder what changed their minds?

Was it a rally last Saturday in which 1,800 Alaskans came out and demanded that Sarah Palin be held accountable for what she is doing to justice in this state?

Or could it be the petition that the "Alaskans for Truth" members delivered to Palin media guy Bill McAllister demanding the resignation of Talis Colberg last Wednesday?

Or could it just be that they have been paying attention to how the poll numbers are going and realize that there is a better then average chance that Sarah Palin will NOT be the next Vice President, and therefore not have enough influence to save them from having their asses thrown in jail.

Well no matter the cause, the important thing is that we may finally see the return of justice to Alaska. And that is all any of us ever wanted.

Now the next step is getting Todd "subpoena dodging" Palin to testify for the REAL investigation and then we can just sit back and wait for justice to run its course.

I'm guessing that the Palin/McCain campaign has coached all the witnesses now. They will all say in chorus: "Sarah Palin never did anything wrong!" And then when the scathing report is released, the campaign will say "Seven witnesses testified that Sarah Palin is innocent! This is just a democratic smear campaign!"

    Just my prediction....
