Levi and Bristol speak out about their broken engagement!

Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin, the teenage daughter of Gov. Sarah Palin, have broken off their engagement, he said Wednesday, about 2 1/2 months after the couple had a baby. Johnston, 19, told The Associated Press that he and 18-year-old Bristol Palin mutually decided "a while ago" to end their relationship. He declined to elaborate as he stood outside his family's home in Wasilla, about 40 miles north of Anchorage.

He also said some details of the breakup, rumors of which had been swirling on the Internet, were inaccurate.

Bristol Palin said in a statement that she was devastated about a report on Star magazine's Web site that quoted Levi's sister, Mercede, as saying Bristol "makes it nearly impossible" to visit the teenagers' infant son, Tripp. The baby was born Dec. 27.

"Unfortunately, my family has seen many people say and do many things to `cash in' on the Palin name," said the statement, which was issued through the governor's political action committee. "Sometimes that greed clouds good judgment and the truth."

SarahPAC spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton did not immediately respond to calls seeking further information. The governor's spokesman, Bill McAllister, declined comment.

Wow this thing is getting even juicier as the day goes on.

Okay Levi I have a little advice for you.

You need to get a lawyer just as soon as possible.

Then you need to file for joint custody, if you believe that either of those two babies might be yours. If you have any doubts then you need to get a paternity test. Your lawyer will know how to hook you up.

And just in case the Palins start to make trouble for you, you need to start talking to the press about a possible book deal. Trust me that will make Sarah Palin and her crazy family give you just about anything that you want.

Oh, and then you need to contact me and give me the inside information that I have been searching for all of this time. Okay that last is one only a suggestion.

No seriously dude you need to call me. I can help you.

  2. Gryphen, I don't know why, but I can TOTALLY see you and Levi having a beer at a pub and the conversation starting like, "Women, huh? And their MOTHERS! Fuckin' nut jobs they are."

Sorry. You might not have said "fuckin'" but for some reason I hear it.

Well, my heart breaks for yet ANOTHER baby left without daily access to his daddy. We've got to be a more responsible society. What was it Gov. Fuckin' nut job Palin say about Bristol and Levi taking on adult responsibility and putting the needs of their child ahead of their own? Wasn't there tape on that? Hey, Greta! Cue up that there part of Bristol's who "abstinence don't work" interview where that stiletto tart came in and babbled about how proud she is of these fine young people. Thank GOD Fox Noise keeps all tape on Palin close and protected. Much like my brother does with his porn collection. I wouldn't borrow or touch any of it, if you get what I'm sayin'.

I hope Levi listens to you, Gryphen. He does need a lawyer. And maybe some security detail, too.....(just don't trust the Palin crowd...)

And if anyone talks to Meghan Stapleton, tell her that if she does not RUN this time, I will absolutely know she does not deserve to be saved.

  6. Rex might not be the best choice, seeing as he specializes in criminal defence, but I'm sure he's good for a referral. Oh, wait, his firm also specializes in personal injury. Tort of defamation, anyone?

So according to BP, (no doubt quoting SP) the Johnstons are "white trash." And the Palins are ... beige?

Glad she's keeping the color line. "White trash" is white Southern talk for "caucasian n****r," i.e., somebody you show contempt for but who inconveniently is not a minority.

  8. Any time any statement from a Palin family member or someone associated with the Palin family gets filtered through Meg Stapleton or "the governor's political action committee" or "the governor's spokesman", I'm more inclined to believe the "rumors...swirling on the Internet".

    Inaccurate, my foot.

I remember reading some comment, by a school mate I believe, just before all the Bristol pregnancy stuff went national that Levi and Bristol had broken up...wish I knew where I'd read that.

Where have I heard this before?

Meg Stapleton says: "Sometimes that greed clouds good judgment and the truth."

Was she referring to the per diem while at home, family travel at state expense, or personal use of a state vehicle- all without- gasp- paying taxes?

  11. no fuckin' WAY!

the governor's office/spokesperson declines to comment on the status of bristol's lovelife, as it "is not a state matter." true, bristol is a private citizen.

BUT then sarahPAC makes an official statement about it? seriously, sarah, either your daughter's lovelife is relevant to you as a public figure, or it's not -DECIDE ALREADY.

i feel bad for bristol, levi, and both babies. it's normal for young couples -babies or not, married or not- to break up. hell, it's normal for even married couples of all ages to break up over the last 35 years of american history. it's NOT normal for mom's political action committee to make it news while mom's spokesperson is too ashamed to discus it!

sarah is the trash here, her skin color is beyond irrelevant.... (i agree with the person on the other comment thread who said "white trash" is an inherently racist term)!

A industrial lawyer once told me that if I ever had a divorce or child custody case to fight that I should hire a criminal lawyer. He said you need a lawyer who is tough, and prepared to fight hard for you, and with plenty of killer instinct. He said family lawyers just want to get together and have things go smoothly and everybody to agree - the means are more important to them than the end.

I passed that advice to a friend in need whose situation was so awful it was tragic. He hired the Hells Angel's law firm to handle his case! And he and his children all lived happily ever after.

Levi needs all the help he can get. He's already proved he's not gutless by invading the hostile territory of Casa Palin as often as he can - and I'm certain it's not because he wants Bristol back. I don't think he wanted her in the first place.

At this stage of the game I am finding it hard to believe there is still a story/rumor concerning babygate. I would think it would all be out now especially with money out there to be had for the real story.

After what Todd did to Trooper Wooten, Levi and his sister had better watch their backs.

So, will Greta be pissed off that Bristol LIED in the interview she (yeah right) decided all on her own to do for FOX?

The truth shall set you free.

Gryphen - you've given some good advice to Levi. Let's hope he is listening, gets a lawyer, paternity tests for both babies, and talks to the national press, (call Katie Couric, Oprah, The New York Times and Alaska's bloggers, right away Levi).

Here's some more form the Star Mag article:

RE BRISTOL: " She's cruel and unfair. Levi isn't even allowed to take the baby for a few hours on his own unless Bristol wants to go shopping or hang out with friends....One time Bristol came to pick up Tripp and didin't even get out of the car. She just screamed. 'Bring my damn baby out to the car!'."

Hmmm...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it?

    More:

"Mercede adds that Bristol and Sarah told a pack of lies during the Fox interview-including the whopper that Bristol is going to graduate from school in May. 'Bristol isn't working, and she's not in school', Mercedes insists. 'She was taking the sertified nursing assistant class for beginning nursing, but she dropped out because she didn't like one of the girls in her class. As far as I know, she hasn't gotten her GED or high school diploma either.'"

'Things are not as Bristol described them with everyone pitching in, Mercede says. "Sarah is away from home too much for that to happen. From what I know of that family, I don't see anyone helping oput at all. Not even Sarah.'

Continues.."But Mercede says she does know that Sarah really wanted Bristol to marry Levi. And. according to Mercede, Levi was supposed to accompany Bristol to her TV interview in spite of their bitter split and child visitation issues-and was crushed when Bristol told him she didn't want him there."
"' They had been planning it, and it was all set,', says Mercede. 'Then the day before the interview Bristol sent a text message to Levi saying, I hate you, and when I found out I was pregnant, I wished that the baby wasn't yours.'"

So it seems as if Bristol is a vindictive spiteful bitch just like her mother, and is using her baby to get back at Levi. Great, wonderful family values. Now that we know Bristol is alone is Wasilla, I will bet you anything she gets herself knocked up again within a year.
