  2. What is this? A press conference with a well thought out statement that includes crystal clear reasoning with a few snappy and made for tv soundbites? Questions from reporters? Looking at this in comparison to Mrs. Palin's "speech," if you could even call it that, makes me sick. It is pathetic that one came from an "unscrupulous" blogger and the other from a governor with a supposedly professional staff. Looking over the various Palin fansites makes one realize that the people who would vote for her have no grasp on reality. A cursory glance of her record would show that she initiated the largest construction project in Wasilla history (one that ultimately has left the city millions in debt, but made some of Todd's "buddies" rich), pushed a windfall profits tax on the oil company through the legislature, and doubled the hand outs given to Alaska citizens. Yet she still manages to claim to be "for small government" with a straight face. And her followers eat it up. She has run strongly on her values and being and good mom. This too is utter nonsense. This is a woman, knowing she had a special needs baby, who supposedly traveled 21 hours by plane and automobile from the time she started labor to get to her personal doctor. We all know that's bullshit. At first, I thought she simply exaggerated parts of the story and didn't want to admit to any lies, but her extreme secrecy and touchiness on the subject has me convinced something incredibly fishy is going on with that story. Then she sends her 18 year old daughter on an abstinence tour only a few short months after Bristol had given birth. Seriously?? How can she bitch about the media going after her children when she throws them into the oven herself? And that's just Bristol and Trig. By all accounts, the older two children did not have stable high school lives. Bristol's comings and goings have been well documented, but Track Palin spent at least one year in high school in Michigan. And this happened before they were famous. I can't imagine life has been anything close to normal for her younger children. But still, there she is on the TV, spouting off about "sharing values" and being a "hockey mom." I haven't even gotten to Todd yet. Who is he? What does he do? Would Republicans be as ok with Michelle sitting on the Prez's meetings? Is that even legal? I think she'll be sorry she resigned. No more bully pulpit, no more power. I wouldn't be surprised to hear her say she changed her mind before the 26th. Why else wouldn't she just give it up now?

I ended up typing more than I thought I would but I knew there were sympathetic ears here and I needed to vent. I just wish she would go away. It's sad that intelligent people waste their time and energy giving a damn about anything this crazy bitch does.

  4. Way to go Shannyn! She's got me so pumped up. I can't even control myself. Well, one thing is for sure, if Sarah Palin gets her own tv or radio show out of this, we will continue to laugh at and mock her. Sarah's response will be? SHE'LL QUIT THE SHOW & PLAY THE VICTIM ONCE MORE!

Should be fun. I can't wait actually.

Couldn't get it to work...says it is unavailable. MSNBC Morning Joe was VERY kind to Sarah the Queen this morning. Andrea Mitchell will be doing a live report from Wasilla this morning but sounds as if it will all be "good" for Sarah! Bah!

I get the feeling that Sarah expected some sort of hero's reaction in the media to that tantrum she threw - oops, I mean the resignation speech she gave - and when instead she got a big WTF by the MSM she started stomping those cork wedge shoes and told TVF to DO SOMETHING!

Ooh, Van Flea just oozes evil. He and the Wicked Queen of the North make a good pair. When will they both go away so we can stagger out of this nasty fairy tale?

Bree, you couldn't be more right. Her narrative was Saint Sarah, the Sacred and Almighty, martyrs self on the cross for the greater good.

Cue the crying, weeping, begging masses and more gifts, too, also, please.

    GAG.

I recently watched the video of Palin nagging at Hillary Clinton about not whining re media coverage, and the date said "March 08". There she was, leaning forward in her seat, like a perfectly fit athlete....

Do you know that she gave birth just weeks after that? I tell you, that is the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.

She really is the Holy Mother come back to save us all! /s

    Shannyn ROCKED:-)

  9. I wish you could explain something to be. So many people who meet Sarah talk about how she comes across as "real" and "void of ego".
I was just reading Dan Fagan's article, and while he recognizes that she isn't simply content to win but must humiliate anyone who opposes her, he still seems to be under the illusion that she's this nice, sweet person who somehow just got in over her head. She still has him that snowed, despite all the mean, nasty, ugly things she has said and done.

Now, i'll admit she has a gorgeous smile that makes you want to like her and smile along with her. But she also has these micro expressions of smugness and contempt that constantly flash across her face. They're only there for a microsecond, but they're there, and they betray the person she really is. Don't other people see them? Even if people don't see them, how can they not see that she is such a huge phony? And we're talking newsmen here, who surely have good BS radar.

I'm getting worried that there isn't going to be an "Iceberg". Please, please, those who have heard things, release the info NOW....things are playing into the Queen's hands today and the thrill of Friday's announcement is getting dim.

  11. I can't see the vid either... but then I'm in South Africa.

I've just read a couple of very interesting posts on ktuu.com.

    http://www.ktuu.com/Global/story.asp?S=10646883

    Here's part of one:

"The contact numbers listed on the Alaskan FBI website are for NORMAL HOURS for the Anchorage/Juneau and Fairbanks locations. Whoever called for a QUOTE about whether Palin was being investigated had to have used the URGENT AFTER HOURS CONTACT NUMBER.

I want to know ONE who called the URGENT FBI NUMBER on a Independence Day Weekend tying up a phone line (Not over URGENT EMERGENT security concerns for the Governor Of Alaska ) but over GOOD PRESS issues and TWO why the hell an employee of the Alaskan FBI department OFFICIALLY commented on an internet BLOG rumor after hours with an OFFICIAL statement about Palin in some URGENT OMIGOD HUFFINGTON has a piece on her up with 2,000 posts the FBI must step in NOW on a Sunday/National Holiday, instead of waiting for Monday to release a denial of investigation or whatever?

Asking these questions is not for sht and giggles, there is a very sincere and alarming WTF is the FBI’s office being used as a tool to protect Palin’s personality this weekend in national media AND more importantly using the FBI athority as the ultimate BADGE to intimidate Shannyn into shutting up."

And here's the other post in its entirety:

"Anyone else SUSPICIOUS that FBI who guy,

“We are not investigating her,” FBI spokesman Eric Gonzalez said on Sunday. “Normally we don’t confirm or deny those kind of allegations out there, but by not doing so it just casts her in a very bad light. There is just no truth to those rumors out there in the blogosphere.”

who himself says they do not “Normally” READ EVER….on a Sunday during a National Holiday weekend ESPECIALLY INDEPENDENCE DAY open their offices or mouths to comment on, “Blogosphere(s)”?

I mean come on we do not live in the 50’s anymore when someone with a “Badge” says something and we listen and obey because that is what our mommy told us.

I cannot get over some FBI Guy who on their own site states he is a lonely Applications Coordinator http://anchorage.fbi.gov/ was standing by to COMMENT after hours (Walk in hours are 8:15am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday) during a NATIONAL HOLIDAY on a BLOG RUMOR.

After Hours Telephoning the Alaska FBI is for Urgent matters only. Is everything Palin URGENT that the Federal Bureau of Investigations takes BLOG RUMOR calls on a weekend AND big WTF the picture on the official Alaskan FBI website of Northern Lights is CREDITED TO THE ADN!!!!

FBI has an ADN relationship/connection as their identifying mark on their official website can this get anymore W T F???"

midnight-- if you are a smug, angry person, you feel at home with Sarah and comforted by that expression.

It's only people who value kindness and egalitarian realtionships who are troubled by the snarky smirk.

@midnightcajun, I see them. I see her micro expressions of smugness.

Look, the fringe right has nothing going for them. Without St. Sarah, there is a void. For some reason, Jesus is not enough for them. :-)

  14. O/T but there's a poll on Twitter - http://twtpoll.com/r/jjqh7o :

    Latest results: Total: 2678 votes

    Help [ 22% (584 votes) ]
    Hurt [ 71% (1891 votes) ]
    Other [ 8% (203 votes) ]

  15. Hey, is Palin going to have her lawyer sue Fox News? They had a commentator on yesterday that slammed Palin AND talked about the investigation rumors.

  17. I'm a little worried about Shannyn's state of mind now. Come on Shannyn, buck up, you can win this thing.

In Shannyn's speech her words caught in her throat at least once and I though she was going to cry. It came across as a defensive maneuver as opposed to n offence against Palin's charges. I don't know if it's just Shannyn's inability to read from her notes without stumbling, and it may have been, but it sure looked like a lot of stress over the situation to me. Not quite whining but certainly complaining about being attacked on the 4th. of July, over and over again. Does anyone else think so?

In a justice system which is not flawed and totally skewed in favour of Palin I would say that this is not a difficult one for S.M. In Alaska where the new governor is going to be in Palin's pocket, and where the country's FBI has already been shown to be tainted by rightwing politics, I would guess that this is going to be a serious and expensive fight for Shannyn. And I think her and her lawyer know it now.

    Shannyn ROCKS!!!!!!

Yes, others are questioning that the FBI is being used as a tool. Since it is Alaska it has been suspected they are working to protect the corrupt governor all along. For Sarah it is better to stop an investigation before it gets started, that would surprise no one. The FBI that made the recent statement could also be someone that doesn't have knowledge of what is going on. The FBI may not be the federal agency that is investigating her. The media doesn't report the whole spectrum.

The FBI part was weird. I doubt the Governor's atty had to call an URGENT EMERGENCY number. Isn't Van F from Alaska but worked in DC and now he is back in Ak for Sarah and to kick start his career to greater glory? He probably has friends in the FBI. And who says the FBI has no corruption? They are not exempt from incompetency either.

The Bush Administration's DOJ is a known fixer. I don't think any of that is new or all corruption cleaned out. If Sarah has not been investigated it is not because she is flawless, it would be more like some of her perks left over from the campaign. She may be an embarrassment to McCain, but they need to stick together and not reveal more of what happened during the campaign. The GOP may hate her, but they don't want certain things revealed. They are like a den of thieves.

Do you see much media reporting on the campaign e-mails that show Todd's AIP membership and that cover up?

  19. SarahQ...my dear dear friend. Shannyn is in NO danger of being sued. If that were the case many others would also be sued. KO was just on, and he made a point of repeating the rumours and laughing his azz off. He mocked Palin and Van Flien.

If Shanny was nervous...I don't blame her. No big deal...and please..don't underestimate her.

I cannot wait for our next Canadian election. Please let me..your friend as you stated previously, know just exactly what you are doing to stand up for what you believe. Other than voting of course.

  20. Micro expressions of smugness that only last for a micro second. OH my Dawwwwwwg.

Everyone always sees those micro expressions of smugness on politicians they oppose. I can't remember all the times I've heard the rabid righies say that they see Obama smirking.

Get real dear, it's in your imagination.
