I just got back from a Teabaggers rally in front of the Egan Center in Anchorage.

The tea baggers were out in force. And they brought a big batch of crazy with them.

Is she admitting that this not a grass roots gathering?

RU kidding?

This guy is just not moving on.

Update: It looks like the Alaska Legislators just voted to accept that stimulus money which Palin rejected. Ooh that is going to piss of some of the teabaggers!

Update 2: AKM has a post over at Huffington about the special session and the vote.

  2. Is that a sign I see that reads, "Kill the Bill or Kill the Sentors [sic]" ????!?!?

Is anyone from law enforcement watching??

Dear god, they used to be ALL over peace marchers back in the day. Infiltrating peace groups. Creating stringers, as it were, to try and rile up the peaceniks so they'd do something stupid like vow violence or do violence.

Where the hell is the law now?

Was it really a very sunny day today? Or is there another reason they all seem to 'hiding' behind their shades?

    Just wondering.

I think that lady with the Astroturf sign simply doesn't know what the word means. It wouldn't be the first time Teabaggers have attempted to use words they don't understand: http://thismodernworld.com/4749

@Ennealogic: it seems to be "Kill the Seniors"-- just more "death panel" nonsense.

  8. Dr. Howard Dean has issued a challenge to MSM not to recirculate lies i.e. Palin's death panel statements, when covering the issue. He says to MSM: "Have you no sense of decency?"

  9. Dude, you are quickly becoming one of my heroes. Keep up the good work and keep calling people out on their hypocrisy, stupidity and jsut plain old evil acts.

Question: if the angry, disruptive crazies at these Town Hall meetings are called "healthers", then shouldn't the chaos and turmoil created by them with GOP and Big Health Insurance backing and coordination be called "Healther Skelter"? I'm just sayin'...

I think that sign says, "Kill the bill or kill the seniors". You know, that whole "you're with us or against us" except now it's if you're for reform you're for killing your own grandparents. Why do people really believe this? WHY!?!

  11. Of course they are keeping the stimulus money and the misinformation about it will eventually be disproven. In the meantime the idiots will loose their minds. The slumlords in the rural areas are teriffied someone is going to make them honor the landlord tenant act.

Sarah Palin didn't realize that when she issued her Death Panel statement, that she was trivializing Trig, the poor child made to stand before the Death Panel because he has Down Syndrome. Her definition was his productivity to society, and by placing Trig there, she must feel that he will not contribute anything, hence the scary judgment of the panel.

In truth, Down Syndrome kids (young adults) can be productive members of society. There is a special care institution in our neighborhood, training disabled people to be productive, hold a meaningful job and have self worth and self esteem. Some of them work at our local supermarket. There is an overseer from the institution guiding them through their tasks, replacing goods on the shelves, bagging groceries, rounding up stray carts. No, not very challenging to most of us and at the limit of what they are able to handle. But, they will be able to care for themselves when their parents are no longer here, and they are being trained to be useful, productive members of society.

So, Sarah should concentrate on funding aid to the disabled so Trig isn't standing in front of her scary panel. Come to think of it, why are Mom & Dad Heath there? Don't they contribute to society?

ADN says there were only 150 protesters-the lowest most ignorant of our society . They are loud but few-yet it only takes one gun.

Keith Olbermann really gave it to $carah tonight, wow! And to other hate violence mongers . It's great but even if Sarah Vain & Simple heard it, she wouldn't get it. He said she should be barred from being in office, I agree!! This is all a big game to $carah and others. They are acting very irresponsibly. She is a despicable person on every level.

  15. great coverage- thank you...Ennalogic asks a really good question- why aren't these violent threats being monitored by police...Mudflats has good post about sick people being heckled today...that Empathy Deficit that Obama spoke of is really out there in it's full ugliness...

  16. Great post... we must think alike because I did the same sort of thing recently at my own blog site.
Keep up the good work and DO NOT let up!
These people must be shown the truth (if they can even accept it) about real health care reform.

  17. Gryphen, I hope you will post the Keith Olberman video. It was the best take-down of Palin I have ever witnessed.

    This was on DU:
"Can anybody think of a better way for Sarah Palin to exploit her child than for her to make up a little story about how Democrats want to kill him?
How can she possibly top this?"

  18. Just for the record. My ciyt made the national news on the crazy folks at the town hall health care meeting first. OY!

SO, that means the disease is spreading diagonaly on a national level from SE to NW. We have Gulf Shrimp. You have King Salmon. I think there is an undersea conspiracy there. Glenn Beck will connect the dots.

Does anyone doubt that the real source of all this anger is the fact that a black man is in the White House? Pat in Texas

Weird whitey people HATE the black man.

How sad, how pathetic, how so un-American.

Media turning to name calling (aka: a kin to hatred), but for us on neither side of the fence, we just want the facts and answers, not the burden of a fascist government. No more name calling just report the facts. thank you.

"This is exactly what the Nazis did. They disrupted rallies, they came in [to] shout people down, they intimidated, they smeared... they did all this"
    -Bill O, December 8, 2005

Is he willing to use his words (which then referred to "the far left in this country") to describe his followers?

  24. There is an 'element', of these people, who will not stop.

The idea that the country has a black President is so repugnant to them,

that if someone told them that by killing their own mother,

they "could get "'THEIR' country back",

they would not just consider it,...they would do it!
