The judge specifically addresses Rhodes’ “birther” arguments, including allegations that Obama might have used 149 addresses and 39 Social Security numbers before becoming president and the existence of what Taitz claims is Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate.
“Finally, in a remarkable shifting of the traditional legal burden of proof, plaintiff unashamedly alleges that defendant has the burden to prove his ‘natural born’ status,” Land states. “Any middle school civics student would readily recognize the irony of abandoning fundamental principles upon which our country was founded in order to purportedly ‘protect and preserve’ those very principles.
“Unlike in ‘Alice in Wonderland,’ simply saying something is so does not make it so,” Land says.
Damn it! Ms. Taitz was SO close to proving that Barack Obama was an alien from the planet "Not white enough to be our President". If only she had drawn the Mad Hatter as the presiding judge.

She is from Orange County, CA, now I know what the mean when they say “behind the Orange Curtain”, when they talk about Orange County, the captial of Conspiracy Theories. You know Obama has a passport, he travel abroad before he was a Senator, but I guess they were in on it. In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme religious right (people who love to push their beliefs on others while trying to take away the rights of those they just hate) and that’s who they need to extract from their party if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”. I heard that she now wants to investigate the “Republican 2009 Summer of Love” list: Assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Stanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC).

A comment on TPM has a link to a lawsuit filed in CA requesting that Taitz be disbarred for unethical conduct. She has been traveling the country, mainly in the South, especially in GA, recruiting soldiers for these frivolous lawsuits. I might have known she'd find lots of sympathizers here in crazy-land. That she chose a court in Ft. Benning, of all places, is crazy in and of itself. Ft. Benning is military-land. No judge in the area is going to rule in such a way that allows her to stay in the states and send someone else in her place. She has held citizen grand jury sessions that have issued fake indictments of President Obama on this birther nonsense. She is also shopping for a federal judge in other red states hoping one will issue a judgment against the president on this birther tripe. These are some of the charges in the lawsuit against Taitz. That Rhodes stated that she would have no objection to going to Iraq if GWB was still president shows that both she and Taitz are truly unhinged. I would suggest that, if Rhodes feels so strongly about not going to Iraq since Obama is POTUS, she go AWOL and suffer the consequences of this decision. This would really prove her insistence that she does not want to go. I'm waiting with bated breath (NOT) for her and Taitz to make this decision.

Remembering the Cold War and their threats to bury us once upon a time, I think that she may be an operative sent her to disrupt our way of life. I would like to see her naturalization/citizenship papers. It's no more than she asks of our president.

ReplyDeleteI got to thinking about "birthers" v. "truthers" here recently and the fact that Obama has already proven his citizenship versus Palin never having released medical records. The one conclusion I arrive at is that Palin doesn't have to prove anything to anybody at this point because she is not running for public office. That is the one truth that can't be denied. What a shame the issue didn't get pressed while the iron was hot, so to speak. If, and this is a big if, someone speaks up (and is verifiable) at least it will expose whether we were all scammed and how deep the deception runs in the Repub party. A girl can hope can't she?
OT to Gryphen, I don't recall seeing your follow up to the VF article. You had said that a lot of what Levi said contradicted what your sources told you and that you'd post your thoughts on that. Did I miss that? I am curious where you stand with your sources, especially now that Patrick looks to be putting some heat on the ADN.

ReplyDeleteMotions for reconsideration are disfavored and very rarely succeed. However, this one is a doozy. It insults the judge's competence and independence.
The question is, "Did she notice?"

Its amazing what she claims. How is it she is not disbarred yet? And how is it she is able to file suits in other states, doesn't she only have a CA law licence?
Brad--she's been pro hac'd into court. You can pretty much always do that if you file application and pay any fee. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the judge yanks her pro hac for this latest.
