Moyers on Obama: No one's ever conquered Washington politics by constantly saying "pretty please" to the guys trying to cut your throat.

I had read the transcript from this progam a few days ago, but it was not until I saw the video over at Frozen Justice that I realized how powerful Mr. Moyers words really were.

To rectify my oversight I offer you the opportunity to watch Bill Moyers give this impassioned address via YouTube. (To see the transcript or watch the video in another player, just click the title.)

  1. Gryphen,

Thank you, thank you, for the link to the transcript.
I think I'm in love! (teehee)

It was very thoughtful of you to provide that transcript. And as usual, Moyers is dead on. I don't think I've ever disagreed with him on anything. I do try to watch his show from time to time, but with a demanding household it's kind of hard to focus or read the closed-captioning.
You know how hard it is to read a book with constant noise? That's the way I have to watch tee vee. I have to read the captions. It's so much easier late at night when every one is settled in or asleep.
    Thanks again.

I just emailed President Obama, my two Senators, and my Congressional Representative, and I quoted Bill Moyers. I told them to get strong! I've been a teacher for many years, and the only way I've ever seen that works with bullies (Republicans, the so-called "blue dog" Democrats) is to stand up to them.

I love Bill Moyers! He is a scholar and a gentleman. So when is Barack going to listen and act?

I saw this the other night and was impressed. He really has a broad understanding of what is happening, and I wish he was a personal advisor for President Obama. He would be a good addition to his staff and has a lot to offer!

Fox news is playing up the President's approval and disapproval ratings on Health Care reform, particularly from independants and the left. They are spinning the declining approval as proof that health care reform is not a popular issue. I think his rating is dropping because he is trying to compromise far too much and people are afraid they will end up with wimpy changes. It's time the President reigns in the "Blue Dogs" and the pass meaningfull reform with a strong public option. It's time for strong leadership.

Imho, everyone who comes to your website and sees a BTQ$Pac ad should click on it. Clicking on it does not mean you have to donate. It means the BTQ$ has to pay for the click.

My experience with GoogleAds is that you can look deep in the set up and bar certain ad URLs. But, i don't want you to do that.

I click on it every time i come to your site and see it because i like to look their home page [grin].

And Bill was a little fiery, wasn't he? GO BILL!

Gryphen has already discovered that the ads come up based on cookies put on our computers by sites that WE visit-- hence the overabundance of Palin. Interesting point about clicking and making them pay!
