Are you ready for the "Palinization of the political system"?

Sarah Palin fans, take heart. Your per son of choice has no intention of going quietly. As we speak, she is gearing up. E-mails are currently going out to the favored faithful to help form a coalition. She is primed, ready and now forming a national organization called "Stand Up for Our Nation." Exactly what it's standing for is unclear. If not a chicken in every pot, maybe a heater in every igloo. A monogrammed puck for every hockey mom. Possibly, it'll start, "Give me your poor, your tired governors . . . " All that's known so far is, it's a Palinization of the political system. Her people will categorize it only as "to promote issues she's passionate about" -- other than how to do away with her unmarried daughter's babymaker, Levi Johnston.

So according to Cindy Adams, Sarah Palin's master plan is about to unfold.

Well I don't know about you but I am on pins and needles.

I wonder how long it will last before everybody just throws up their hands and quits? That is, after all, the "Tao of Sarah Palin".

H/T to my fellow blogger Bree Palin.

  1. Since SP trusts no one, as in experienced political advisors, I suspect that is why VO and RAM have been up in AK since late July. Her "fans," aka amatuers, must be running the newest Palin machine. LOL. BTW, it was noted on either Bree's blog or Palingates, that the Facebook posts resemble the work of RAM (extensive use of footnotes = her style).
    This should be a SCREAM!

I guess her "Alaska Fund Trust" didn't work out the way she planned, so her next scam is "Stand Up for Our Nation". No doubt we will start to see donation buttons start popping up everywhere.

I am deeply suspicious of anything associated with Ms. Palin.

Oh, and, Stand Up For Our Nation? SUFON? How about STFU instead?

An outside view from Canada. Sarah Palin has popular appeal for two reasons. One; intelligent people such as Gryphen, and the vast majority of Americans, cannot believe that somebody so stupid can be taken seriously for even one second. Two; there is a stupid base on the right that think she is wonderful as well as those more intelligent ones that know they can take advantage of her stupidity and use her appeal to further their own agenda.

In either case America, don't underestimate the power of stupidity. If you are not careful.......

SUFON. Isn't that an awful lot like MUFON? No offense to MUFON members--at least when those folks report sightings, they are reporting on phenomena that may ultimately have some real and valuable scientific and cultural significance for our nation and the world. SUFON not so much.

  15. Anon@5:52--It's because we do know the power of stupidity and know not to underestimate the power of stupidity that we watch Palin's every move. GW Bush was the first example of stupidity occupying the WH, and the reason for observing, exposing, reporting on, and blocking each one of Palin's moves is to stop her from becoming stupid decision #2 because there are a whole lot of people here who just seem to be mesmerized by her. I don't see in her anything like what they see, and I think most people who visit Gryphen's blog regularly don't see it either because there is no there there.

maybe it is the launch group for her trial balloon about running for president in 2012 or the name of her Dobson/Fox third-party....

Still think it is all to conincide with her Nov. 17 book "coming out" party.

She's really starting to fascinate me...it's so clear that she's toast, and yet she perseveres. She has disregarded the advice of many Republican potentates who can make or break her career, and yet she perseveres.

I'm not generally in favor of calling those who disagree with me "pathological", but I don't know what other word to use here.

I have a relative who is a reporter for a major newspaper. He cannot get over the fact that Sarah Palin continues to generate so much attention when she has absolutely no political future. MSM loves to cover her because she provokes the same kind of visceral response as someone like Paris Hilton, posing for the cameras and being famous just for being famous.

Sarah inspires only the far right wing fanatics of her party, and if they are the only ones cheering for her, the GOP is doomed. They need moderate and independant voices, and those voices are being shut out by the Rush/Bill/Sarah crowd. Fine. But, we should not be jumping up and down every time Sarah says some dumb thing. The press has finally given up on Paris, and once Sarah's book thing has fizzled out, let's just marginalize her and stop agonizing over every breath that she takes. She left her job, bye bye, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

My take on Palin is that she is done with public office, and is remaining in the political spotlight with others doing the heavy lifting by writing her Facebook and speeches only so that she can continue to dip into the SarahPAC. . .and the Alaska Fund Trust. . .say, where IS that AFT disclosure that was supposed to have been produced LAST SUMMER???

RE: the Pee'ers site - nothin' says "political savvy" better than a website where the first thing you see is Palin turning her back on you!

The website domains were purchased just last month for a one-year term (apparently they are planning on a VERY successful site) and are from a private registration firm that handles mostly small (some very strange) online sites.

Greek? Actually, doesn't "palin" better translate to BACKWARD or AGAIN? Pali- has more to do with repetition or running backward. The word "palindrome" is from the Greek "palindromos" which means "running back again" i.e. a word that is the same frontwards and backwards.

So, in a sense, I guess the word is VERY appropriate to Palin and her infamous word salad. Words that are running back again or backward, repititious speech!

  34. A shucks, Liz Cheney beat SP to it, and launched her own gameplan today!
"Liz Cheney has launched a new group aimed at rallying opponents to President Obama's foreign policy and national security initiatives.

The organization, Keep America Safe, is introducing itself today with an aggressive Web video that attacks the president's policies on missile defense and the CIA interrogation probe, and mocks him for not making a faster decision on strategies in Afghanistan."

Yup, it's a play on the Greek, but from people who don't know what the Greek word means. Seems par for the course from the Pee'er chuckleheads. LOL.

Stand Up for Our Nation sounds like "Up with People" - that squeaky clean singing group from the 60's. I'd love to hear their theme song - maybe sung by Hank Williams, Jr. or Toby Keith? You know, 'cause they're real Merkins and all that. Maybe Lynnrockets can write one for them?

Palin needs to "Shut Up for Our Nation." Her book has been discounted to $9 a book and that means the publisher and book stores know it isn't going to sell. Those idiots who placed advance orders are going to get stuck with the higher prices on the Gospel of Sarah.

Why would any of her followers think of her as presidential material? She would need to have a ghost president to go along with all the other ghost writers, ghost bloggers, and ghost speach writers in her life.

Stand Up for Our Nation: Not especially sensitive to the daily reality of many of the wounded Iraqi veterans who are now suffering from post traumas, in wheel chairs or condemned to a life of artificial arms and legs--or the families of the fatally wounded, who can never and will never stand up again, whether for our nation, or otherwise--now is it?

While SP and her neocon and dominionist playmates beat war drums, pray for armageddon and chant, "Stand Up for Our Nation!" there are no doubt those, like the high bidder for dinner with the exgov, who are standing on the sidelines wild eyed and salivating at the prospects of more defense contractor dollars flowing into their greedy pockets.

Meanwhile, mark my words, SP will start parading her oldest son, "the war veteran," along with her when it serves her needs or those of her handlers.

  40. Maybe gossip columnist Cindy Adams got Liz Cheney confused with Sarah Palin when she passed along that launching-web-site rumor.

Neither one of them have legitimate or positive credentials when it comes to speaking for the (majority of) the American people.

OT somewhat, I just saw a clip from the NBC interview of Rush Limbaugh, where he says he admires Sarah Palin, that she's got more backbone than any man in the Republican Party...

You can just about bet that the interviewer didn't follow up with the obvious question, "How do you account for the number of times Palin has quit an assignment or job when the going got tough, the quitting of her governorship being only the latest example?"

Limbaugh's endorsement belies both his demurral about being the real head of the neocon Republican Party, and the claims by the neocons that they are the sane ones in the political debates of the past year or so.

    Great comments.

I heard rush say something about SP on MSNBC a little while ago. He said that she's got more of a back bone than any man in the Democratic Party.

Sounds like she's being re-branded as a voice for the GOP. Remember, she passed the ball to win.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the Cross, ... am I remembering it correctly? Jesus does not reflect deception or bearing false witness. And His words about knowingly them by their fruits does not excuse that behavior. Playing God is a dangerous act.
